Dankwambo awarded record road project –Commissioner

Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo has awarded a 54-kilometer road project which is the longest ever initiated by any government in Gombe State, Information Commissioner Habu Dawaki has said. Reverend Dawaki, who spoke when he visited the headquarters of Media Trust in Abuja yesterday, also said government has ordered for 200 new tractors to boost agricultural production.

On boosting agriculture, Dawaki said, “Some tractors have been refurbished while 200 new ones have been ordered from Pakistan.”

He said the governor’s top priority is Education, which informed the initiation of projects for the building of new schools, including a college of arts and science and a college of education.

Dawaki said also that the state government initiated poverty alleviation and job creation programs to check youth restiveness.
