How Far Have Our Elected Leaders Gone In Confronting Terrorism ? by Boazizzy08: 4:16pm On Jul 21, 2012
The war on terrorism which has dragged for long has become a cause of worry to the entire citizens of Nigeria and its govt at all levels.many a times ,the spate of insecurity has always been attributed to the inability of the FG to confront this challenge, thereby exhonourating other elected office holders(governors, senators, council chairmen, councillors among others.) who are most times recognised as the "chief security" of their states, local govt or counstituencies as the case may be.the question that naw calls to mind is "how far have these elected representatives gone in securing the population which they are representing even after been allocated security votes,or is the provision of security exclusively reserved for the Federal Government?".

um . . . . The constitution DOES NOT recognize the office of "chief security" so anyone with that title, is more like a "blockhead of security". If you read the constitution, it makes it clear that all handling of security be done by the Federal Government-- not by Governors, senators, chiefs, or local government officers, but by the Federal Government which has the sole authority.
