Listening to international Channels like CNN, Aljazeera and the likes, u get to hear so much about voters supporting the left wing political parties to win elections, especially Greece.
I however tried to google it out to know exactly what the 'left wing' means but all answers came a bit ambigous. Please i will like to hear from the house exactly what this means. Thanks

Left wing advocate socialist democracy and are focused on social welfare. No party qualifies as left wing party in Nigeria. Conservatives, extremists, hawks are terms that refer to hardliners who pay little attention to social welfare while ruling. They are called right wing. PDP would have been the right wing of Nigeria if only any other political party qualifies as left wing.

Left Wing is kinda similar to the Democrats, or generally parties with the ideology of socialism, or even to an extent, populism.

The bad side of this, is that while their programmes may largely aid the human development index of the areas within their jurisdiction, they're eventually plagued with economic underperformance and lots of debt, which is why they're primarily hated by the Right Wing league members, who are also disgusted of their characteristic radicalism.

Yeah, that's why the British right-wing party is called the Conservative party.

Yeah...this doesn't seem to be as big an issue in Nigeria.

The major political divide isn't between ideologies like fiscal conservatism vs. liberalism, big vs. small government, etc.

But more on the very structure of the nation.

These questions for the most part are settled issues in these older democracies.

The flavor of Nigerian politics is quite different.
