goto dual SIM settings and set it to WCDMA/GSM. If you have 3G network in your area it will detect it and if not it will detect only the available 2G.

The prob I have is that there is no 3G coverage in my area, its jusr EDGE, so my internet speed has been relatively very slow that the playstore and the facebook app cant even load.

I have been using bb to download apps' apk files, then sending them to my n3 via bluetooth, so I havent figured out a way to root it since most of the rooting apps are Downloaded directly into the internal memory and also from playerstore.

Is there any way I can root my device without downloading none of the required files through playstore?

how can i make use of torrents in downloading?

Bros, you must download all the neccessary files especiallly the ministro libraries files before rooting can take place. I advice you research and know know the Network(s) that offer 3G services in your area and subscribe to any of their mobile browsing plan of not less 100mb for rooting purpose only.
