Pls note that Lead Capital may be excellent in other aspect of investment o, but as for brokerage, not too good in my opinion.

If going with STANBIC, then consder and compare the fees. You fit no do JIJO anyhow there...in my opinion.

Ogechi has been very up and doing at GTL/Mytradebook. Customer response good too.....but site response can be slow during downtime.
Lol. I've been with Mytradebook for quite some yrs and I know this. smiley
GTI Securities/gtiportal go need crash course on customer services/relationship from Ogechi and another crash course on Interative & scalable webpage design from some IT guys of Morgan capital. grin grin

The average Abuja salary starts from 50-70k. 100k is considered a good pay in Abuja. Now which part of Abuja can you rent a decent 1 bedroom apartment with 200k(2 months salary)?

Nigerians in general are suffering from hyperinflation but nobody cares. Price of items keeps going up while salary remains constant. People now use their 3-5 months salary to pay as rent. In gwarimpa. A selfcon is between 900k-1m. How many Nigerians earn 500k monthly? Lol how many can even boast of 200k saved in their accounts at any point in time? We’re joking in this country.
In Abuja, anything less than 30-45% for the average salary earner na either Mararaba, Gwagwalada, Kuje, Bwari village, Zuba, Suleja or Kaduna road you go find yourself.

Please I need sincere inputs. Those leaving with someone, please don't derail this thread. Just read an learn.

I'm planning on relocating to new area in Abuja but I'm really confused if 20% of salary is too much to pay for rent.

Where I currently stay lacks some amenities and I pay 10% of my salary for rent.

What percentage of your salary goes to rent? How much do you think should be the ideal percentage of salary for rent??

I think the right percentage would allow for proper saving to allow one build his or her own apartment.

Thank you for your responses.
Net monthly or net annual?

My dear,
Nigerians (whether from North, South, East & West) are not ready to be liberated
so let the suffering continue.

And they want to remove subsidy.

How can they remove subsidy without first of all removing corruption or minimizing it to barest minimum? How? For gawd sake.

In some sane country when they catch all these big man emblezzing, stealing public fund red handed whether big or small amount of the funds, they will just bundle up the person and execute that person without mercy. Such country will always have no other choice than to make progress in leaps and bounds.
With the way Nigeria is structured, it will be difficult to implement the bolded.

Look at the early morning traffic around mararaba. You'll feel as if you're in lagos.

The High cost of rent keeps pushing people to rent in karu nasarawa when so many houses in abuja are occupied by lizards.
Same thing for those staying around Bwari and Kubwa.
I really pity those coming from Kaduna road, Suleja and gwagwalada axis.
Our elites are extremely wiked.

The most painful part is that these estates, castles, mansions and fortresses have been lying fallow, empty, idle and unoccupied for more than a decade

While majority of the masses are grappling with lack of accomodation.
Anytime I pass through Jahi and Katampe, cry go begin hungry me.
So many unoccupied estates/houses and yet the masses are looking for affordable accommodation within Abuja to no avail .

I have been following you boss and your inputs here are apt.

The real estate sector in Nigeria still remain untapped. Increasing population and over population in Lagos, low government policy to solving the housing needs makes it good environment for investment. The mortgage banks and accessibility of funds should be made easy for citizens especially civil servants.

Here is Port Harcourt, Sun City Garden where we construct for is making huge in road.
Exactly, even to access the recently PENCOM approved withdrawal of 25% RSA balance for payment of equity contribution for residential mortgages by RSA holders na war.

Sorry about that, God thank you for giving me the grace to overcome landlord's wahala. I moved into my personal house last week, everybody join me and my family to glorify God for his mercies.
Thank God for you oh.
Moving into personal house for Abuja no easy again because of inflated cost of land and building materials.
The cheapest 3Bedroom semi-detached Duplex in an Estate within the satellite towns here na around 28Million naira for semi-finish/Carcass and 35Million for Basic finish.
How can a civil servant on minimum wage go fit afford one.

I was invited to NYSC orientation camp to give talks on self employment. I saw right inside the camp wasting assets and human resources.
I saw hectares of land owned by NYSC lying idle. I saw untapped human potentials in the youth that could turn the land asset into job creations and money.
I asked myself why the whole verse land was lying idle?
All we need in Nigeria is just change of mentality and right vision mindset because as a country, we have all it takes to succeed
And I have 5,000 square meters land some where in Kuje wasting away.....

Very brief without taking questions so that he won't say something off point.

There are still challenges. The regional banks where big funds over the FDIC limits will continue to have a run to the systemically Important Banks (SIB). And since the shareholders and the bondholders of the failed banks were made to lose everything, those investors(bondholders/shareholders) in the regional banks that are still open will continue to sell down their positions because they know that if anything happens, they too will loses everything just like they saw in SVB, Silvergate and Signature Banks.

And that is why currently, we have

First Republic Bank losing 74% just today alone,
PacWest at - 57% today
West Alliance at - 84% today

It now becomes self reinforcing loop where buy as Fed and FDIC solve SVB and signature Bank issues, more banks issues crop up in the same way and they will be forced to intervene again.

As at today they have 3 more banks(highlighted above) that are losing big time.

So will Fed intervene or allow it fail?
If any touch $1, I fit gamble small grin grin

INEC has already done their worse. Most voters in the listed states have had their polling units changed by inec without their knowledge.
They will go to their former poling unit and not be able to vote.

Mine was changed to a polling unit one hour from my previous unit. Mind you no vehicular movement on election day. So i no go fit vote.

You can check your polling unit on inec website.
My polling unit was also changed. How do I trek from Gwarimpa to Dakwa to cast my vote tomorrow with the restrictions on vehicular movement.
