I was browsing for latest news in Nigeria and I came across this site, www.nigeria.shafaqna.com. Please does anyone read it. I was amazed to see they have many gist on their site gotten from website like Information NG, Linda Ikedi blog, Bella Naija, YNaija, tooxclusive, 9jabuzz.com.ng and so on, I mean they didn't steal it, I think it's an RSS feed that gets updates from these sites automatically, don't really know. On Alexa rating they are 1043 in the whole worl beating Bella Naija but behind our sweet Nairalander. Yippee

Question is pals, does any Nairalander read it. Awaiting comments.

The countdown to the Etisalat Prize for literature, one of the unarguably biggest literature prize in Africa has officially begun.

The shortlisted writers are: South African authors Penny Busetto with her book, The Story of Anna P, as Told by Herself and Rehana Rossouw, author of What Will People Say? as well as Democratic Republic of Congo’s Fiston Mwanza Mujila, author Tram 83.



The grand finale comes up on the 19th of March and would take place at the Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos. 2013 own was won by NoViolet Bulawayo (Zimbabwe), 2014 was won by Songeziwe Mahlangu (Penumbra). We can’t wait to see who would win 2015 own.

PoliticsBreaking News: Speaker Of Ondo State House Of Assembly Has Been Impeached by 9jabuzzdotcom(op): 11:25pm On Mar 08, 2016
Rt. Hon. Jumoke Akindele, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, and her deputy, Hon. Fatai Olotu have been impeached by 18 lawmakers which was carried out at one of the lawmakers’ quarters around 10pm on Tuesday.

To replace them are Hon. Iroju Ogundeji from Odigbo local government as Speaker and Hon. Ayo Arowele from Owo local government as the deputy speaker, elected by the lawmakers.

No reason was given for the impeachment of the speaker and the deputy.
