BusinessDangote Tomato Company Begins Test Production In Kano by 9jabuzzdotcom(op): 5:21pm On Mar 21, 2016
Dangote Tomato Processing Factory began test run production last week and has processed 500 tonnes of tomatoes.

The Managing Director of the company, Alhaji Abdulkadir Kaita, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kadawa on Monday that the company has the capacity to produce 120 tones of fresh tomatoes per day.

“We have not commenced production at full capacity. This is the reason why we are taking the product in batches,’’ Kaita said.

He also said that the management of the company will fix a tentative date for the official inauguration of the company soon. He said the company would do everything possible to ensure that the finished product met required quality standards.

According to him, the company would help improve the profit earning of local farmers who produce tomatoes.

“We purchase the commodity at N20, 000 per tonne irrespective of the tomato specie. So we buy a basket of the commodity above N1, 000 per basket and the current price at the market is N300. This is more than twice the price at the open market. The farmers are happy about the price because we have had several meetings with the officials of their association before we agreed on the prices. Once we collect the tomato, the company will pay you within two days,“ he said.

He also said as soon as the factory commenced full operation, it would buy the commodity from farmers in some neighbouring states of Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa and Plateau.

“We are not restricting ourselves to tomatoes from Kano farmers as we shall purchase from farmers in Plateau, Jigawa, Katsina and Kaduna states. This will encourage more farmers to embrace tomato production in addition to reducing wastage of the commodity,“ he said.

CelebritiesRising Photographer, Genesis Williams, Talks About His Passion For Fantasy Pics by 9jabuzzdotcom(op): 2:45pm On Mar 20, 2016
Genesis Williams is a young entrepreneur that aspires to make a change in the Nigeria entertainment industry. He studied at NIIT where he learnt digital film and animation until he decided to venture in the creative multimedia department. He has been involved in various creative multimedia content initiative and activities, working fulltime, per-time and as a freelance in various production houses and studio such as (GENESIS STUDIOS, ROYAL ART ACADEMY, ANTHILL STUDIOS, BEAVERS STUDIO AND CLOCKWISE STUDIO, DEVINE KLASS STUDIO) where he worked as a GRAPHICS DESIGNER, VIDEO EDITOR, VFX ARTIST, CINEMATOGRAPHER, PHOTOGRAPHER and a PRODUCER.

In this interview, he sits down with Chimmie Ijezie of 9jabuzz and talks about his journey into the world of photography, how he ventured into photography and how he’d have been into drugs if not for photography…

Tell us a bit about yourself- growing up, childhood memories, education?
My name is Genesis Williams. I am a young entrepreneur. I own and run my small business Ficson films. We deal in vfx, cinematography and photography. Growing up as a child had its up and downs; I grew up as the only child, an average normal kid from an average family. My parents did their best to raise me. I can’t really remember much about my childhood though, but my best memories were in my teens where me, Eri Umusu and Godwin Akpan were all trying to figure out our career paths together. As for education, I did poorly in school, especially in my senior secondary school and that was because I didn’t know what I was doing there. I managed to graduate from secondary school and then went to further my education at the University of Uyo, from where I dropped out after my first year to chase my career.

Why and how did you venture into photography?
Well, it all started when I got a job at Owerri to be the media head at DK Studios. Things were kind of tough because I had before then never taken a professional photograph in my life. At the studio, when they asked if I knew how to take professional pictures, I lied and said “yes”, I mean, how hard can it be? With my experience from cinematography, I started learning the only way I knew how: Googling and Youtubing tutorials on photography and cinematography, wahlia! With practice and effort, I owned the craft, started getting positive feedbacks and kept practicing.

Wow! So what inspires your photography?
Well… I guess have always loved the dark side of art. My best photography, at least, the ones I post online, are mostly artistic and dark in nature. I used to post a few beauty shot, but recently, I have been trying my hands on fantasy and photo manipulations, trying to perfect on that. So I’d say, I don’t really know what inspires me. I Google a lot of pictures, check through Instagram, Pintrest, Daviant art; I can be on those sites for hours daily. I try my best to feed my mind with artistic pictures— that’s how I get my kicks.

What kind of photography is your primary focus? Why?
Right now, my primary focus is fantasy and photo-manipulation photographs that tell a story. And that is because I love telling stories in a way, so I want my pictures to have a sense of story-telling not just the contemporary studio shoot.

The photography community in Nigeria is getting really large. I mean gone are the days when you guys are seen as common “passport guys”. Now almost everyone wants to be a photographer. I go to speak to some campus students in seminars and ask them what they do while in campus, and 90% tell me they are photographers. Some use it to even woe girls. I mean the whole buzz is around photographers. What would you say is the reason for this development?
Well I really can’t say. I got into the photography world by accident. But if I am to say something, I’d say it’s because it kind of cool to be a photographer; it comes with a few perks.

Which photographer do you look up to as your role model
I haven’t seen any yet; yea I do admire the likes of Kelechi Amadi-Obi, TY Bello and the rest, even plenty Oyibo photographers, but I’m not looking up to them because I’m just trying to be the best of me; theirs and mind are in total, should I say, different genre of photography.

Has your works ever been showcased in an exhibition. If yes, which one
None.

Any reasons?
I’m still new into photography. I’m not up to two years yet in the industry. I still need to build my portfolio and put myself out there.

Everyone believes Lagos is the center of opportunities especially for photographers. Why have you chosen Akwa Ibom (hope I’m right)?
Well I’m back to Lagos.

Oh that’s great!
Yea. I won’t like to say one’s success is determined by his/her zip code but where you’re located really helps, and Lagos is a land of opportunities because of the population. You can make it anywhere, but the hustle is better in Eko.

Oh that’s why you came back
One of the reasons, yes.

And the others being….?
That’s beyond the scope of this interview. (Laughs)

So any landmark achievements so far by you
No, not yet.

Apart from photography what else do you do?
Visual effect and cinematography

Ever done any work in that field?
Yes. Check www.ficson.com. Shot a short film, done music videos, event and even motion graphics.

Ok. Just saw a short film that was directed by you “Cyanide”. You actually worked with Tope Tedela?
Yes.

Great. How was working with Tope like? Was this before or after he appeared in the movie “A Mile from Home”?
That was before the movie. He was alright, I guess.

How did you 2 meet?
Through a friend. We worked on project together. I think it was for the 48 Hours Film Challenge. Then one day, after the internet buzz of my sci-fi short film “The Day They Came”, we decided to produce Cyanide. That was when we decided to use Tope for the role; that’s how we met.

What problems do you experience in line of your work?
Money problems and the right clients.

What do you think of the Nigerian photography industry and where do you see them in the next ten years?
Well I think it’s not a bad one, it is a quick growing industry at that. But it’s not a matter of time; it’s a matter of the people involved. We need great minds to make it a great one.

So in 10 years time where do you see it?
That’s what I’m saying. I can’t really say, we’ll just have to see. I believe it’s the people and not the time that matters. In 10 years, nothing might change if the right people don’t get into the sector.

Personal Questions

Are you married or in a relationship?Genesis 13
Neither at the moment.

What is your favorite food and why?
Rice and peppery stew because it is delicious.

If you were not a photographer, VFX editor or cinematographer what would you have been?
Doing drugs and living a degenerated life (laughs).

Tell us something no one knows about you, an exclusive, something explosive. Perhaps, in the past or present.
No one is a lot. A few people don’t know I’m agnostic, that’s the best I can do.

Finally where would Genesis Williams be in the next 10 years?
Honestly, I don’t know and I don’t want to think about it. I’ll just keep working hard and pushing, and see where life puts me; I hope I would be in a great place.

Thank you Genesis for giving us the opportunity to know you. It’s been nice chatting with you.
You’re welcome.

Romance#becominghis: Men Are Attracted To CONFIDENT Women. If You Don’t It, Go Get It! by 9jabuzzdotcom(op): 1:59pm On Mar 18, 2016
Only a few things are more attractive to a man than a confident woman. Seeing her gait, her poise and composure really gets us going. It tells us she’s on top of her game and living life on her own terms. That’s really an attractive quality.

Who doesn’t like a woman who knows what she wants? Who doesn’t like a woman who is sure she’s doing the right thing? You never get scared that she’d make a mistake and fail. You’re always sure she’s right and even when she ends up being wrong; you always think it wasn’t her fault. Men like that.

If you’re not confident, you’ve got to find a way and gain confidence, anyhow you can. Now I’m not saying you don’t have the right to be vulnerable sometimes; that’s very cute and at the same time very endearing, but if you’re always moaning or sobering about something, he’ll get tired of you and turned off. I know of women who complain about how they think their friend is finer than them, or how they so wish they weren’t this “weighty”. If you cannot love yourself for who you are, how do you expect him to love you?

Most men know how to spot a prey. If you act the victim, you’re gone. It is in our nature to PREY on you. If you are not confident of yourself, he’d get tired of you but he’d also prey on you like a predator. Men are f**king predators. Believe it or not, nothing suggests a “quick lunch” more than a girl with no confidence in herself and with a victim’s mentality and complex.

Some girls do this for attention; yes I’ve witnessed and had encounter with many ladies who explain that they do this to “tie” him to them. Trust me, you’re definitely wrong if you think like that, and would be asking for trouble, not attention.

He may cuddle, encourage or “be a shoulder to lean on” but ultimately right there at the back of his mind, he’s thinking of how to break up with you, without making you feel hurt. That’s his only scare: that you’d feel hurt. And even if he stays, he’d only be staying out of pity. Never make a man be with you out of pity. Don’t let him be by your side because he thinks leaving you would make your life a mess. Never let him think without him you’re nothing but a trash of dirt.

So get your confidence up. Be bold and daring. Of course, I’m not expecting you to intimidate him and pull up such a personality that he’d feel you’re so self-sufficient, absorbed and independent that you don’t need him. Don’t be so “Ms. Doing It on My Own” that you would scare the guy away. Many ladies unintentionally chase their “Future Husbands” away. I know you’ve got the money, have the three cars parked, bought as house in Banana Island like Linda Ikeji and can afford to buy all the clothes at Z_Otta designs, yes, I know. But don’t shove it off at his face.

Let him be proud of you; let him tell the world how fierce you are in accomplishing thing; let him boast of how successful your are; but at the same time, let him tell his friends that that bold, confident, fierce woman can be tamed by only him.

Enjoy your Friday and also check for blogisodes of #BecomingHis where we’d be giving you more Tips on keeping your relationship with your man.

FashionTips On Rocking Agbada And Lookign Fab In It (must Read) by 9jabuzzdotcom(op): 11:54am On Mar 18, 2016
Agbada is a popular flowing wide sleeved robe worn by men in West Africa, and to a lesser extent in North Africa, related to the dashiki suit.

It is known by various names, depending on the ethnic group wearing them: Agbada (Yoruba, Dagomba), Babban Riga (Hausa), Mbubb (Wolof), K’sa or Gandora (Tuareg), Darra’a Maghrebi (Arabic), Grand Boubou (in various Francophone West African countries) and in English term: Gown. The Senegalese boubou, is also known as the Senegalese kaftan . The female version worn in some communities is also known as a M’boubou or Kaftan .

Good day slayers. Welcome to another glamorous, juicy “9jabuzz i-cannot-wait article”, and today we are lecturing on “Agbada 101”. Lol. Read correctly and wear your spectacles if need be as we lecture you today on Agbada and tips on wearing it glamorously.

The Agbada as a full formal attire consists of 3 pieces of clothing: a pair of tie-up trousers that narrow towards the ankles (known as a sokoto pronounced “Shokoto” in Yoruba) and a long-sleeved shirt (known as a Dashiki in Yoruba) and a wide, open-stitched sleeveless gown worn over these. They are generally of the same colour, and historically were made from silk, but increased understanding and dynamic designing and styling has brought about a modernize and technically improved styles on clothing that has made the agbada presentable in different forms and fabrics to suit anyone’s taste and reason (we even have denim agbada at Fortress by z_otta).

It is not surprising to see these agbada clothing, with different styles and designs of colorful embroidery or traditional caps that match the particular attire. It used to be an attire flaunted by big men and well to do citizen to occasions: weddings, funeral and so on, but today the fashion forward and the style hungry gentlemen and ladies (yes…you heard me) have a couple of these agbada attires secured with alarm, finger print, lock security in their closets (it is a top list valuable!) and you should get one too!

Now Slayers Here’s the important part…

Tips Of How To Own An “Agbada” And Slay In It

Fabric colour is Bae: It is important to select a fabric to suit the color of your skin. Don’t be as dark as Idi Amin and order a blazing sun yellow Agbada for a funeral; you will be one they will be burying…with their mouth!

Fabric Texture: Do you prefer your Agbada to stand the test of time? Do you want it to retain starch? Then thicker materials is your pick. Go for quality fabrics…these will last long.

Head Gear: The cap worn is usually called FILA. It can be any color of your choice, but make sure it doesn’t conflict with the color of your Agbada so you don’t look like a masquerade.

Accessories: The accessories is important as they improve your outlook. You can add wristwatch, cuff links, rings and even nice necklaces or chains as you wish. A good Agbada is a waste of large yards of material without the right accessories; it’s like eating Nsala Soup without pounded yam— Noble Igwe.

Starch Properly Or Don’t Starch At All: Have you seen someone rock this outfit? You should have noticed that it is properly starched. An improperly starched Agbada would make you look as though you have too much gravitational force pulling you and your ten yards of Agbada to the ground! Ensure your Agbada is starched enough and sticks to you…that’s the idea. Or better still, don’t starch it at all.

Trouser Length: Do you know that the trouser is called Sokoto. So please, guys ensure the length of your Sokoto is appropriate. Now your preference matters: would you like it to be very fitted or just regular? I’d advice you let it be long enough too be seen but not cover your shoes.

Gown length: We know how much you have always envisioned yourself in a wedding dress. Unfortunately its not happening today. Nobody want to start a war with you and your agbada gown so make sure you tell your designer the right length that is not too long or too short just enough to allow us see your trousers and those slaying shoes.

Have fun slaying…and don’t trip on your agbada.

CrimeLets #FreeIfesinachi To Save This Young Girl 4rm Abduction & Forceful Conversion by 9jabuzzdotcom(op):
Please we must not rest, let’s try hard and help free Ifesinachi. There are many girls, young girls that are being forcefully converted. Let’s help them. We did it for #FreeEse, we can do it for #FreeIfesinachi

Emerging reports that Ifesinachi Ani, a 16-year-old and an SS-2 student of Government Secondary School, Apo Resettlement, was abducted about six months ago and taken to unknown destination.

The missing girl is a native of Amaechi Awkunanaw in Enugu south local government area of Enugu state.

According to Ifesinachi’s mother who is a widow of four, neither the FCT police command nor other organisations have been able to offer any reasonable assistance to secure the release of the girl.

The troubled mother called on President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, to help rescue her child.

In response to the widow’s claim, the FCT police command through its spokesman, DSP Manza Anjurin, said even though it is aware of the woman’s complaints, her inability to bring up a petition as verbally advised, made it impossible for the command to investigate the matter.

“She came here with a journalist and made the complaint. I advised her to write a petition so that it would be properly handled. Up till today, we have not seen her and we are stuck; we have nothing to work on. We don’t even have the woman’s contact otherwise, we would have called her,” the police spokesman disclosed.

However, investigations carried out by The Authority have revealed that Ifesinachi’s abductors are bold, daring and appear to be a well-funded syndicate. It was also discovered that the primary aim of the group is to abduct and convert to Islam, as many teenagers as possible from Christian-dominated ethnic groups in Nigeria, for handsome reward. Sources disclose that the act is carried out through all forms of subterfuge, including deceit, hypnotism and fetish methods.

Ifesinachi’s mother told newsmen that a self-styled Islamic teacher who lives near her residence at the Apo Resettlement Area of Abuja, simply called Baba Abdul, used some seemingly diabolical method to lure her daughter to himself and in a jiffy, changed her character.

According to her: “Immediately my daughter came in contact with this Baba Abdul who stays near us, her attitude changed suddenly. I could no longer understand the character of my child. She started to tell lies and disrespect me to the extent that I almost went mad. It was four days before they took my daughter away from us that I discovered what was happening”.

Although Ifesinachi’s exact location could not be ascertained, when investigators called the abductors through one of the three telephone numbers provided by Mrs Ani, a female voice at the other end said Mrs. Ani should stop bothering about her child’s welfare. Reports reveal that midway into the discussion, the lady cut off the telephone call. Mrs Ani had informed that her child’s abductors claimed they took the missing girl to Maiduguri, Borno state but there was no technical facility to verify the actual location of the abductors.

The Authority Newspaper reports that several other girls, mainly from the southeast and south-south geo-political zones are being held in this particular camp and have since been converted to Islam. As of the time of filing this report, it could not be ascertained if Ifesinachi has been married off or impregnated as the case of Ese Oruru who was abducted from Bayelsa and taken to Kano state.

Ifesinachi’s mother maintained that her daughter is still a minor and should not be seen as having voluntarily converted to Islam nor moved to Maiduguri on her own volition.

Mrs Ani stated: “Last year, September 14, my daughter, Ifesinachi, informed me that she has decided to join the Deeper Life Bible Church. That was very close to the Easter period. She went to the Deeper Life Retreat without obtaining my consent, though she left a note for me saying I should pardon her for doing so. I scolded her when she returned for not informing me earlier. I told my pastor about what happened and he cautioned her on her change of attitude to me but asked me to allow her attend Deeper Life. I didn’t want to agree because she is under-aged and moreover, I attend the Redeemed Christian Church of God with every other member of my family. I later allowed her to be attending Deeper Life Bible Church.

“Unknown to me, she was not even attending Deeper Life. She was instead, attending an Islamic conversion class through one Baba Abdul, a Muslim who lives near our residence in Apo Resettlement. When I discovered what was happening, I pleaded with the man to leave my child alone, but he refused, insisting that since the girl has begged him to teach her Islamic way of life and religion, he would just do that. When I accosted him, the second time, he said he had asked her (Ifesinachi), to obtain permission from me and that he believed she did that. It was two days after I accosted the man that the girl ran away from my residence; apparently in connivance with the man.

“Before the time I discovered she was attending this Islamic conversion class, I noticed that her character has changed and she was no longer listening to me; she would no longer take my word or advice for anything. It was after she allegedly attended the Deeper Life retreat and returned that I discovered she used that as alibi to be attending Baba Abdul’s Islamic teaching classes. I can tell you that her mentality totally changed that time; she was just behaving abnormally as if something was happening to her. Baba Abdul is from Kogi State and I don’t relate with him, so, why should he take my child and teach her anything?

“After she disappeared from my place, I reported the matter to the Apo Resettlement Police Station, here in Abuja, close to where we reside but instead of working on the complaints I made, they asked me to bring N5,000, saying curiously to me that the person I accused (Baba Abdul), is innocent and I left them. I do not have such money. Confused and not knowing what to do, I prayed, fasted and went away and got frustrated.

“I went to Ordinary Ahmed Isa of the popular Abuja radio programme “Brekettte Family Radio” and reported this very issue, they didn’t do anything. I went to the presenters of the FRCN radio programme “Lean on Me”, met one Mr. John Chukwurah and he took me to the FCT Police Command, but they did nothing. I wrote a letter to the FCT Police Command through this John Chukwurah, yet as I speak, there is nothing to show for this effort.

“In my frantic effort to discover where my daughter could have been taken to, I gathered that my daughter received a telephone call and thereafter, left our residence and that was the end. I have not seen her up till today. It was much later that somebody showed the photograph of my daughter on the internet, now converted to Islam and adorned in hijab.

“My daughter was born on April 23rd, 2001. She will be 15 years in April this year. We are from Amaechi Awkunanaw, in Enugu State. My husband is dead. Before my daughter was taken away forcefully from me, I informed Papa Ugo, my second husband, of the ugly development; he is the immediate brother to my husband, but he refused to come over to Abuja. It was after that, that I informed one of my maternal uncles, who also lives in Abuja and he came over and advised the child, but because they had talked rubbish into her, she was not listening to anybody.

“Three days after she eloped last year, Ifesinachi sent an SMS to me, informing me that she has joined some people in Maiduguri, Borno State and is now a Muslim. I called the number with which she called me and a man picked the call and told me that what she said was the truth and that her name is “Amatullahi”. He said I should not panic and that they were training her and feeding her well. I pleaded that I be allowed to come over to Maiduguri and see her but they would not allow me do so. After two weeks, another person called me, this time, a woman with a different number, speaking tainted Igbo language and assured me that my daughter is ok and well. A week later, another man who spoke only Hausa language called and also refused that I should see her or speak with her.

“Last month, I called the number again and a female voice picked the call and said my daughter was fine and healthy but that they discovered I was visiting a so-called “juju” house for my daughter and that it will not help me. She said they spent over N35,000 to pay her school fees. The telephone numbers used by my daughter’s abductors are: 08060598215, 08081170324, 07038310025. All these lines are still going through up till now. My daughter used the first telephone number to send an SMS to me and every time I call the line, someone would pick the call.

“Please, I am using this medium to plead with President Muhammadu Buhari; the IGP, Solomon Arase; the military and other security agencies, including the Emirs and Bishops, to help me rescue my daughter. They had hypnotised her; she does not know what she is doing right now. She is under a spell. I don’t like what they are doing to my daughter or putting us into this kind of condition.

“It is against my wish; whatever she is doing now, she is doing not of her own free will. She is under a spell. Kindly help me out”.

The Authority Newspaper reports that security operatives have been briefed on the development, as investigation into the issue are still ongoing.

CrimeLASU Saff Arrested For The Gruesome Murder Of Married Lover by 9jabuzzdotcom(op): 9:48am On Mar 14, 2016
Samuel Ambe, an official of the Lagos State University, has been arrested by the police for allegedly killing his lover, Mata Jidonu. It was learnt that the suspect worked at the Department of Works and Physical Planning of the university.

Thirty-two-year-old Mata was married to a lawyer, Sunday Jidonu, for whom she had three children.

Mata, who lived in the Agric area of Ikogazebba, Badagry, had left home around 3pm on February 15, saying she was going to buy foodstuffs in the market, but reportedly headed for the lover’s house, a few kilometres away.

Her husband, Sunday, who had returned from the court earlier that day as a result of illness, became apprehensive when she did not return on time.

He said, “I came back from the court that day around 2pm because I was ill. On getting home, I found out that my wife was dressed up, ready to go out. I told her to prepare coffee for me because that it is what I normally take in the afternoon. She said I had been taking too much coffee and advised me to eat eba that was already prepared.

“She put the stew on fire while she went to pick our last child, Laura, from the school. I told her to help me buy drugs along the road. The same motorcyclist that took her to and from the school waited for her outside and took her again supposedly to the market to buy beans.

“I slept after taking the drugs. Laura woke me up around 5pm and I asked his brother where their mother was. I called her number but it did not go through. I called her mother, our church and the centre, where she was doing a post-literacy study; they all said she was not with them.”

Sunday said he became more worried when it was 9pm and Mata did not come home. He added that he could not sleep conveniently till the following day when he reported at the Badagry Police Division.

“I was at the station, when the head of the vigilante group in our community called me on the telephone that my wife had been found dead in a bush path. When I got to the scene, a crowd had gathered and policemen from Ado-Odo Ota, Ogun State, had arrived to pick her corpse. She was strangled and stabbed in the leg. Her private parts’ hairs had been shaved off,” he added.

The nature of Mata’s death prompted him to talk to people living around the area, saying that he was told she used to go to the suspect’s home regularly and was there on February 15.

EducationUniversity Of Ibadan Students May Be Forced To Go Home As Crises Rocks Community by 9jabuzzdotcom(op): 8:03am On Mar 14, 2016
Students of University of Ibadan may be forced to go home. This revelation came to light after the students’ leaders met with the Dean of students and his officers at the students’ affairs Division yesterday, 10th March, 2016.

The students’ leaders led by the Students’ Union President, Olateju Aliyu Oladimeji, met with the Dean of students and other officers of the students’ Affairs Division over the issue of erratic power supply in the University community.

“The Dean of Students suggested that students should go home so that the school can have ample time to provide a lasting solution to the problem of power
supply on campus,” a reliable source stated.

It was also learnt that at the meeting, the Dean of students attributed the erratic power supply to IBEDC and the state of power generally across the country.

This position was however rebutted by the Students’ Union President who advanced evidence to show that the University Maintenance Unit should be held responsible for the welfare of the students.

FashionThe Suit: A Gentleman Best Friend + Tips On Wearing It by 9jabuzzdotcom(op): 7:27pm On Mar 13, 2016
A suit is an unavoidable attire in the closet of any classic, fashionable gentleman of the 21st century. For a red carpet event, award ceremony, business meetings and all, you will find your need for this formal attire increasing by the months.

The AMVCA 2016 has come and gone; some have smiled and some have frowned; some in grace and others out of grace...so today we are going to emphasize on tips to wear a suit and what "a suit" really entails

In clothing, a suit is a set of garments made from the same cloth, usually consisting of at least a jacket and trousers. Lounge suits (also known as business suits when sober in colour and style), which originated in Britain as country wear, are the most common style of Western suit. Other types of suit still worn today are the Dinner Suit, part of black tie, which arose as a lounging alternative to Dress Coats, just the same way as the Day Lounge suit came to replace Frock Coats and Morning Coats; and, rarely worn today. This article discusses the lounge suit (including business suits).

The variations in design, cut, and cloth, such as two- and three- piece, or single- and double- breasted, determine the social and work suitability of the garment. Often, suits are worn, as traditional, with a collared shirt and necktie. Until around the 1960s, as with all men's clothes, a hat would have been also worn when the wearer was outdoors.

Suits also come with different numbers of pieces: a two-piece suit has a jacket and the trousers; a three piece adds a waistcoat (known as a vest in North America). Further pieces might include a flat cap made from the same cloth.

Originally, as with most clothes, a tailor made the suit from his client's selected cloth; these are now often known as bespoke suits. The suit is custom made to the measurements, taste, and style of the man. Since the Industrial Revolution, most suits are mass-produced, and as such, are sold as ready-to-wear garments (though alteration by a tailor prior to wearing is common).

Currently, suits are sold in roughly four ways:

Bespoke: in which the garment is custom-made by a tailor from a pattern created entirely from the customer's measurements, giving the best fit and free choice of fabric;

Made to Measure: in which a pre-made pattern is modified to fit the customer, and a limited selection of options and fabrics is available;

Ready-to-Wear or off-The-Peg: which is sold ready to be tailored. or finally as;

Suit Separates: where jacket and trousers are sold separately, allowing a customer to choose the size that is best for them and limit the amount of alterations needed.

Now we know a bit about our suits and the mode they are made, and can differentiate which we own and which we desire to own.

Tips on wearing your suit.

Tie Colour: Ties should always be darker than the wearer's shirt. The background colour of the tie should not be the same as that of the shirt, while the foreground of the tie should contain the colour of the shirt and thereby "pick up" on the colour of the shirt. Ideally, the tie should also integrate the colour of the suit in the same way.

Generally, simple or subdued patterns are preferred for conservative dress, though these are terms with a wide range of interpretation. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, it became popular to match the necktie colour with the shirt (a "monochromatic" look popularised by TV personality Regis Philbin) or even wearing a lighter coloured tie with a darker shirt, usually during formal occasions. A light blue shirt with a blue tie that is darker in its colour is also common.

Accessories: Accessories for suits include neckties, shoes, wrist- and pocket watches, pocket squares, cuff links, tie tacks, tie bars, bow ties and hats.

Colour: The main four colours for suits worn in business are black, light grey, dark grey, and navy, either with or without patterns. In particular, grey flannel suiting has been worn very widely since the 1930s. In non-business settings or less-formal business contexts, brown is another important colour; olive also occurs. In summer, lighter shades such as tan or cream are popular.

Buttoning up: Never button the bottom button of your jacket. When you sit down, unbutton the jacket so it doesn't ride up.

Quality Matters: Wear your suit with a quality dress shirt, belt, shoe and watch. Wear good socks that match the pants in color. If you're feeling brave, wear patterned socks such as argyle, but only if the other parts of your suit are conservative in color and style.

Pocket Square:
Add a pocket square. Fold it so it fits snugly in the pocket and just peeks out of the top. Many people make mistake and allow it to match with their shirt; it should never ever match your shirt, instead it should match your suit.

Now that we are all happy and know all the rules of wearing a suit to an event...lets start making plans on how to wear that suit and slay to that upcoming red carpet event...
Thank me later!

FashionThe Fashion Engineer: 9 Ways In Which Dating Helps You Keep Slim by 9jabuzzdotcom(op): 2:14pm On Mar 11, 2016
[quote]We all know those women who never seem to order a salad at dinner or ever moan about starting a diet but yet they stay so slim, but why? The reasons why they stay so easily slim are because they are dating. Many women don’t realize how much dating can actually help keep them slim.
There are a number of different reasons why dating can help keep us slim which can be seen in this blog post. At a glance, it would be easy to say that they are in fact doing all the things that standard diets say not to do. It could be very frustrating to see them enjoying brownies while we’re stuck eating a bunch of leaves.

Here is how dating can help keep women slim and how we can start eating and thinking like a dater:

They Have Treats On Dates
While we’re looking forward to having a piece of dark chocolate on Friday night, they are looking forward to their date. They don’t look forward to having treats because they usually share a dessert with their date anyway. They look forward to the date itself more than the treat. This means that during the week their mind isn’t constantly thinking about food and naughty treats. They are more likely thinking about what they are going to wear and have their hair like. This frame of thinking is what helps them avoid naughty treats without even knowing it.

They Talk A Lot Over Dinner

When we eat dinner at home, we usually just have our heads down and eat without much conversation. This means that we are eating our food fast and probably not digesting it properly. Women who are dating will be more likely to talk a lot more over dinner with their date as they get to know each other and have fun. They will be eating a lot slower which means they’re body is able to better break down the food and digest it.

They Eat Non Processed Foods On Dates

On a Friday night after a long week at work, we’re more likely to head to the take away or have a microwave meal than cook a meal from scratch. While we’re eating our way through a processed meal, women who are dating are out eating a freshly cooked meal at a restaurant.

When looking at ways to get slim or stay slim we see nearly all diets listing processed foods on the list of things to avoid. Instead of heading to the take away or a microwave meal on a Friday night, head to a restaurant to save time cooking.

They Have High Self Esteem

Women who are dating will more than likely have high self-esteem because they are feeling confident from the attention they’re getting from the men or man they’re dating. Women who have low self-esteem tend to binge eat as they feel a bit low. When we are feeling low, it is natural to want to turn to comfort food. To avoid this happening, go out with your girlfriends and take up new hobbies to improve your self-esteem.

They Cook Fresh Meals At Home

When women who date aren’t going out to restaurants, they are cooking meals for their dates at home for a cozier environment. Because they are trying to impress the man they are dating with their culinary skills, they cook some of the healthiest dinners.
This is because they will likely use fresh ingredients and experiment with different ingredients and flavors. Women who are in long term relationships can do this too though. They can treat their man to a beautiful gourmet style meal every week using the freshest ingredients.

They Don’t Count Calories
When eating out at a restaurant, women who date tend not to count the calories as it could potentially take some of the romance and fun out of the date. When they cook a meal at home for their date, they won’t count calories because they know that he will need a good hearty meal and not salad to win him over. Sometimes counting calories can lead to stress and stress can actually lead to weight gain and slower metabolism. Food should always be enjoyed and not counted. Listen to what your body wants and what it does not want instead.

They’re More Conscious Of Their Appearance
Women who date take more time on their looks than women who are in relationships. They tend to set more boundaries while dating in terms of letting themselves go, as they are still at a stage where they want to grab the attention of men and impress them with their appearance as well as personality. Therefore they make more of an effort to hit the gym, to go for regular hair trims and to perfect their makeup. It is all too easy to get too comfortable in a relationship and forget about your appearance. Start hitting the gym or go running to stay slim.

They Rarely Feel The Blues
Because women whose dates are always out and about having fun, they rarely feel the blues that other women might feel. Because they don’t feel the blues, they are less likely to turn to comfort food and binge eats. It is natural for us to turn to food when we’re feeling a bit low. When feeling low, hit the gym and work it out instead of turning to comfort food. The alternative is to make improvements in your life so that you don’t feel the blues regularly.

They Shake What Their Mamma Gave Them

Women who are dating regularly go out to town with their girlfriends and spend most of the night on their feet dancing. While some women are spending 30 minutes a day doing a boring workout, other women are out enjoying themselves and dancing for hours through the night. There is no better workout then letting go and having fun on the dance floor. Every woman should make time to go out with their girlfriends and dance the night away. PoliticsBoko Haram Still Owns Major Territory In Nigeria - U.S. by 9jabuzzdotcom(op): 11:35pm On Mar 10, 2016
Two months after President Muhammadu Buhari told the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki Moon, that the Boko Haram terrorist group was no longer holding any territory, commander of the U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM), David Rodriguez, has come to dismiss Buhari’s claim as fictional.

Mr. Buhari, had also said that the Nigerian Armed Forces in collaboration with the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNTJF) had driven the terrorist group from Nigerian territory into “fall-back positions”, while speaking on the sidelines of the World Future Energy Summit in the UAE a while ago.

Mr. Rodriguez spoke Tuesday before the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee reviewing fiscal year 2017 defence budget, in response to a question by Senator Angus King of Maine who asked about Al-Shabaab and Boko Haram more than ninety minutes into the testimony.

Mr. Angus’ direct question to General Rodriguez was:

Is Al-Shabaab and Boko Haram growing, are they adding members? I know they don’t hold territory, are they adding areas of influence?

Mr. Rodriguez replied:

Actually sir, Boko Haram does hold some significant territory in Northern Nigeria as do Al-Shabaab in limited areas of Somalia

PoliticsDSS Invasion Of Ekiti Assembly | Senate To Investigate Cause by 9jabuzzdotcom(op): 7:25am On Mar 10, 2016
Senate yesterday directed its committee on National Security and Intelligence to conduct an investigation into the immediate and remote causes of the action of the Department of State Security (DSS) leading to the invasion of Ekiti State House of Assembly just as it directed the federal government to deploy all resources to ensure that the spate of killings in Taraba State is stamped out.

Senate reached this resolution following a motion sponsored by Senator Biodun Olujimi (Ekiti South) on the recent invasion of Ekiti State House of Assembly by men of the DSS while committee meetings were ongoing.

Olujimi, a former deputy governor of the state further informed her colleagues that more than 10 DSS operatives armed to the teeth took Ekiti lawmakers hostage and were shooting sporadically into the air, causing panic and possible stampede.

She said, “At the end of the commotion created by this barbaric act, four members of the House of Assembly could not be found with news filtering in during the weekend that Hon. Afolabi Akanni, the member representing Efon Constituency was abducted and taken to Abuja”.

The legislator also recalled how Akwa Ibom State Government House was earlier invaded by same DSS without any formal explanation as to the reason for the invasion.

According to Olujimi, “The action of the service is outside the scope of its mandate and the National Assembly as the highest law making body in the country must step in to defend and uphold the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999) as amended by which they were elected and sworn to uphold. I am afraid that we shall degenerate into a state of Gestapo. We must condemn it in the strongest terms so that we do not allow democracy to be uprooted at the grass root”.

Olujimi alleged that the action was not short of political vendetta by opponents of Ekiti State government, a statement that drew the ire of Senator Isiaka Adeleke (APC) representing Osun West Senatorial District who maintained that such should not be concluded so as to allow investigation to unravel the circumstances that led to the alleged invasion.

Adeleke said “Distinguished Colleagues, I think that the issue should not be conclusively alluded to political vendetta, but the Senate should allow investigation into the matter”,

Speaking ,Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe ( Abia South) quoting relevant sections of the constitution said that in the 7th Assembly, several unsuccessful attempts were made to tame the frequent invasion of legislative houses by security operatives but each attempt met a brick wall. Referring to the “Legislative Houses Powers and Priviledges Act”, passed in 1953 which is still subsisting, Abaribe informed the Senate that before any stranger can invade a legislative house, its offices, the court yards, and other ancillary areas, there must be permission from the management of the legislative house.
