The football legend, Anita Amma Ankyewah Asante, is an English football defender playing for Aston Villa in FA WSL will retire at the end of the season.
The English footballer before retiring earned 71 caps for the English national team.
I had decided to quit early on when I took this contract at Villa that I was prepared to play two more years. I've very much enjoyed the whole experience, even the difficult parts of it, but I always knew at some point it's all going to come to an end and I kind of want to be in control of that. Not every athlete gets that choice. Says the 36 years old Ghanian descendant.
Aston Villa will commemorate the achievements of Anita Asante ahead of the final-day fixture against Birmingham City at Villa Park on Sunday, May 8.

"I'm honoured, coming to Mexico is been great and the people here are nice, not just the teammates, not the club but the whole city, the fans" says the Mexican Liga MX Femenil striker to CAFOnline.com.
The 24 years old footballer said "As the first Nigerian and African to play in Mexico is huge, a stepping stone and opening the door for other Nigerians and Africans to join. Just putting the name of Nigeria on the map positively, it's been great and I am grateful for the opportunity."
Right here, it's totally different, the league is competitive, and the players are professional. I like it here. Being the first African and Nigerian to play here, I hope my former teammates and fellow Africans from back home can join the league and just help build and grow it more.
Six months after her graduation with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Management at Sevilla in January 2020, she left for Sweden where she made a major progress in her career, scoring 22 goals in 42 games for Linkopings before her big-money switch to the fast-growing Liga MX.
"I'm just focused on getting better, learning about cultures, the pattern played here and making friends. It's been great in Sweden, in Spain and here now in Mexico and I'm prepared to keep going forward."

Meanwhile, Oloori Olaitan Badirat Ajoke Adeyemi, who was the youngest wife of the Oba, packed out of the palace in 2020 after her nysc service due to some allegations and accusations that she was having extramarital affairs with Fuji musician, Ayinde Wasiu Oluaye Marshal aka Kwam1- Mayeigun of Yorubaland.

Wonder rider, Kunle Adeyanju who vowed to ride from the UK to Lagos is...taking to his words and accomplishing his ambition as he already got to an African continent from Europe, Casablanca in Morocco to be precised.

Adeyanju made this known through his social media handle where he posed with the caption:

Remember Adeyanju started his ride from London to Lagos on the 19th of April and plans to arrive Lagos after 25 days of ride on a bike.

In a post through his handle on Wednesday, April 20, the man stated that he had traveled 720 kilometers on Day two of his journey from Bourges, France, to Girona, Spain.

On his tweet, he said: #LondonToLagos Charity Ride - Day 3
Girona - Valencia: 458KM

“I woke up to an early morning shower, and till 9am it was still raining and with no sign of receding, I was hoping the rain will stop so I can avoid riding in the rain because of the bitter cold.”
