Rapper Taboo of Black Eyed Peas fame has revealed that he’s been secretly battling cancer. The 41-year old rapper recounted how he was diagnosed with stage 2 testicular cancer in June 2014 .

He tells People “It all started with a pain in my back and abdomen. I was so busy working that I wasn’t worried about it, but I went to the emergency room to get checked out.” The test result revealed that Taboo had stage 2 testicular cancer.

“The very next day I went into surgery to have the mother ship removed, but my fight had just begun. My family and the group were all in shock, but (bandmate) will.i.am instantly reached out to a great doctor who helped me figure out a treatment plan. I was racing against the clock.” He had to undergo 12 weeks of “intense, aggressive” chemotherapy.

“There were times that I wanted to give up, but I became inspired by sports figures who have gone through similar battles. I began channeling my energy into the thing that keeps me alive and spirited: music,” he says. “I wanted to share my story and inspire others like those who had inspired me.” He began writing lyrics about his cancer battle.

Following his unruly behaviour which led to the fight with a member of the security team at Club Quilox, singer Oritsefemi has taken to his social media (IG) to tender an apology to his fans.

“Hello my lovely fans, I know a lot of you have been waiting to hear from me directly. Let me start by saying I’m sorry for disappointing you all. I have never been involved in any altercation before now. I love peace and I would never hurt anyone knowingly. Things got out of hands and I reacted badly, it was a mistake, and I take the blame. I’m human and at that moment I acted unruly.
I want to thank you all for your support over the years and I understand if you are angry with me, I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you to those that have reached out to me.
There is no ‘Oritsefemi’ without you my lovely fans.
This will never happen again. Lessons learnt.
I will continue to give you good music that I am known for not violence.

Linda Ikeji has penned down a 'detailed' apology for misinforming the public on the 'Save Mayowa' campaign.
The apology which was posted on her blog goes,

“People who know me well will tell you that the easiest and fastest way to get money out of me is to tell me you’re sick. I hate seeing people that helpless. Over the years, I’ve donated and also used my platform to raise money for several sick people, including Mayowa Ahmed. Early morning on July 28th, I received a call saying the #SaveMayowa campaign was a scam. That the lady was terminally ill and the family had no intentions of using the money raised for her health to treat her as they had no invite from the hospital in Atlanta, neither did she even have a visa to the US.

They wanted me to blog it quickly so people could stop donating. I found it hard to believe at first but it was coming from people who were directly involved in raising money for the sick girl. I sent someone to LUTH to investigate, he got there and found chaos. The Police was already involved, people were being questioned, some folks were shouting, he spoke to people in the hospital and many seemed confused. I spoke with those who had called me, and they said 1000%, the whole thing was a scam.

And I sincerely believe that at the time they told me this, they genuinely believed it to be a fact. I don’t think it was done maliciously. After they sent me documents showing the hospital in Atlanta was not really involved in Mayowa’s treatment and LUTH medical directors denied knowledge of a fund raising for the sick girl, I believed it to also be a fact! And I wrote it. My mistake I think was owning the story, I probably should have quoted them. And maybe investigated more. My apologies to the family! The post has since been taken down.

After investing properly, the police found it wasn’t a scam, that it was more a miscommunication between the parties helping to raise funds and the girl’s family. I spoke about the issue with the Lagos police PPRO and she assured me that the family didn’t have bad intentions.

What I am happy about is that; even if the family had had dubious intentions initially, now they can’t do any of that, as everyone is now watching. So maybe a good thing came out of the whole chaos.

The happy news is that Mayowa has been flown to South Africa for treatment. She left Nigeria on Thursday August 11th.

May God use her case to show that He is God!

"Donnie McClurkin was the musical guest on TBN's long-running "Praise the Lord" ministry show Thursday night where it was revealed that he and Nicole C. Mullen are getting married.

Matt Crouch and his wife, Laurie, were joined on the show by guests A.R. Bernard and McClurkin where the former revealed that he would be giving McClurkin marriage counseling in the near future.

Rumors that McClurkin and Mullen were dating started circulating after the two attended this year's Stellar Awards together. But the gospel singers never made an official announcement about their romance until Thursday's episode of "Praise the Lord."
While making the announcement, Pastor Donnie goes -

"Honestly, the only thing in my life that is missing is marriage. The only thing that is missing in my life that can cause real family, is marriage.
