Emifiele is not a professional when it comes to Economics. Do you agree?
Yes, neither is Sanusi. They're both professional bankers.

grin grin. Sunusi and Emifiele side by side! This is funny walahi.

You didn't follow the argument. My argument is that Emifiele is not a professional when it comes to Economics. Do you understand now?
Both are professional bankers. If I studied Economics in school but didn't practise it but work in the bank as a banker, that makes me a banker.

It would be wrong to call myself an economist because I don't practice. What company did Sanusi work in (practise) as an economist?

You are bringing up another argument.

Economics and Banking/Finance. Are they the same?
This your point no make sense at all. There are many bankers that studied Economics, Yoruba, Lingustics, Physics, and the likes are working in Nigerian banks.

Did Sanusi perform better than Emefiele? If Jonathan approved his request to introduce 5000 naira note to the economy then, naso he for don make the whole economy a mess like Emefiele is doing because the dullard Buhari approved his own proposal.

monerozi5590:
Get the root of the argument. My stance is one studied Economics and the other studied Banking and Finance. So one is not a professional in the things of Economics. Simple. What's the argument here.
Regardless of what they studied, they're both bankers by profession.

Did Sanusi perform better than Emefiele?

SMH! You are just grasping at straws now. End of argument. I always say when someone is emotional he will start making things up.
Both Sanusi and Emefiele are bankers now. You can even study Yoruba and become trained as a banker.

The fact that Nigeria is yet to collapse and gone totally bankrupt is a miracle because jeez...
Yet, the general populace don't know the details about the looting that has been going on since the combined 24-year rule of PDAPC.

I'm almost certainly sure there'll be anarchy if the common man knows in details the level of looting being perpetrated by our leaders.

That is because your religion is a personal issue. There are many people in Nigeria who do not identify as Christian or Moslem. As you saying they will never aspire to become president or Vice in this country?

Based on Christian - Moslem how will A001 ever become president in Nigeria?

I agree that religion can make people wicked and vile. But that shouldn't be the purpose of religion as that should not define God.

By the way, the earthquake also killed those who are agnostic too. So it doesn't validate your point.
Agnostics are in the minority so there's a good chance only religious people died in the incident.

Even if agnostics were among them, that's why I said belief or disbelief in a god can't solve such problems.

They can only be prevented or solved using critical thinking, philosophy, and science and technology. I didn't mention anything like agnosticism in the post you quoted.

What she's doing is highly important for the development and survival of Yoruba language.

A language is a living entity that also needs to be constantly developed, modified and remodified to stay relevant with the times so that it doesn't die.

At first bolded - there's the theory of the big bang,

At second bolded, it's not a point since you already don't believe in the existence of God. You have to first believe before you can say you derive or don't derive any benefits. I can deduce from that comment, logically that you believe in the existence of God but consciously deny it.
The Big Bang doesn't explain the source of the Universe; it's only a model that explains the beginning of the Universe.

But the Universe might not even have a beginning, and the beginning of something might not necessarily be its source.

About believing in God or not, you don't have to project your beliefs on mine. I only believe in what's proven scientifically and has real benefits.

Religious people are some of the most wicked people you'll find anywhere in the world, especially those in Nigeria.

There are few kind religious people, but the wicked ones are more in number.

So far, I can't see the effects or benefits of believing in a god in the lives of religious people.

Recently, a severe earthquake hit Turkey and Syria, two of the most religious countries globally, killing roughly 5000 people.

Today, I'm sure people in various parts of the world would have died.

Daily, religious people face a series of challenges about health, feeding, shelter, and so on, problems that belief or disbelief in a god or prayers can't solve.

To prevent and address these problems, only critical thinking, philosophy, and science and technology can help, not any god.

The gods of religion are useless.

No cogent benefits in believing in a god. If there are, some of us that have left religion for years now will revert immediately.

It's only oxygen, food, shelter you can't live without, not a god.

You left something one, two, three, four years, and are living better. Why would you want to go back to ignorance and superstition?

Without the Bible the only other source is the intelligence of creation. Intelligent design. All peoples of the earth acknowledged creation because of its unique intelligent design, so they have a name or attribute to describe God. As an African traditionalist, isn't that enough to accept the existence of God?
It's not enough for me. When scientists discover and understand the origin of the universe, I may stop being an agnostic.

Then, I don't see any special benefits or privileges of believing in God's existence. Everything religious people enjoy, freethinkers also enjoy them.

Then, I'm not an African traditionalist. However, I respect African traditions (the good ones) and see a lot of wisdom in them.

This is why I promote them.

well if you are versed in symbolic speech then you would know these are simple concepts. It is lack of the understanding of symbolic language that causes many people , you including, to get tied up in intellectual knots which some of you are humble enough to admit that you have come to the end of your knowledge and then the arrogant ones whose ego will not let them admit to it will surge on with pseudo psycobabble but back to your point. Like I said this is symbolic speech, no human has the technology to freeze the consciousness of another but if you break down the etymology of the name A-TOMB aka ATUM it means GOD. So basically what they are saying is GOD changed the ages from an age of three dimensional destroyed consciousness ( religion etc ) to an age of 4 dimensional consciousness which is actualising concepts that exist in the spiritual world. For example in the spiritual world someone in a low state ( a base state ) has to be afflicted ( caustic acid ) in other to extract the good in him ( wAter ) and discard the bad ( salt) and in actualising this three dimensionally out of a religious state to science we have ACID +BASE = SALT+WATER
It's a claim which hasn't been substantiated with evidence. Thus, it's unproven.

Though the guy makes a lot of interesting claims.

Meaning you believe in the existence of God
No, it means whether God exists or not is unknown. If the theists can provide evidence their God is the source of all things in existence, I'd stop being an agnostic.

Verses in the Bible or Qur'an or similar religious texts are not evidence but mere claims anyone can make and put in form of writing.

well the concept of Egypt means you will be caged either spiritually or physically which religion is a spiritual cage . Not sure what else needs to be said. These are simple spiritual concepts
Lols. What the guy described doesn't look that simple to me. According to him, Atum, Ra, and other gods that favor science over religion used advanced technology to freeze the consciousness of their contemporaries like Allah, Yahweh, and co that support religion over science and put their consciousnesses in a cage in the spiritual realm.

He said it was done to usher in a new age where science will be the focus of humanity instead of religion.

This isn't a simple issue or claim to me.

from your mental and spiritual prisons. Look around you everybody is locked up in capitalist prison or debauchery and hedonistic prison, people are fully detached from their higher self. The messiah has come to reattach you to your higher self so that you will know you are a divine being and hence must carry yourself with dignity
Is that a new form of religion?
