I need help from this thread, please.
I think my friend is about to be duped.

I've a friend that didn't register for NIS recruitment.
Meanwhile, one of his customers who happens to be a nis officer called him yesterday and informed him that there's an available slot for 300k (senior cadre).

How genuine in your opinion do you think this slot is, people?

Please, advice.
Nigerians, so bcoz d amount required is #300k it not real but if d person ask him to bring 2m it real? When we gonna start thinking advancely, do you guys know d relationship between them? Some people have slot and get nobody to give, maybe he just want to help d guy.. I'm not saying is legit ooo, Just want u guys to remove that thinking that when someone is not expensive it fake. I have seen where someone was given 2 EFCC slot senior cadre (Graduate slot) and d man gat nobody to give. He gave my guy 1 of d slot, the guy is just loyal to him they stay in same street, no relationship btw dem. The guy should just be careful. Period. Na him know relationship btw dem.

I notice people coming through slot name haven't appear. Either they will fill in at the final list or they will release another list like you said.

For those of you that have connect and didn't make it to the list, keep disturbing ur connect, or u can still check tomorrow evening. And if you didn't make it to the list, there is still hope. Not everybody will come for the screening but all positions will be filled.
And if you didn't make it, NSCDC is still dia, there list is not out, infact they are not done with compilation of list, they can still fix u that's if interested (for people wey get connect oo).
Good luck everyone.

A top politician is reassuring my brother that he'd make the immigration final list,he didn't write the CBT test and he wasn't even shortlisted recently.. How possible could his words be?
Very possible, not all shortlisted candidates will come 4 d screening, some have gotten a better job, some doesn't have d required documents, some people names applied 2*.
The board are not living any slot unfilled, so if u have a strong connect and ur name didn't come out in shortlist, after d screening u still have a chance of getting d job.

*Civil Defense (NSCDC), Immigration Recruitment Should Continue With No Delay – Reps*

House of Representatives approves report of its Cttees on Interior, Federal Character & Reformatory Institutions after citizens expressed concern that the recruitment process of the NSCDC and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) was cumbersome.

Some of the recommendations approved by
House of Representatives is on the recruitment exercise by NSCDC & Immigration Service include that the exercise should continue so there is no delay in the assumption of duty of officers that will form part of the solution to Nigeria’ security challenges.

Recall that the House of Representatives has resolved to investigate alleged marginalisation of some applicants in the recent recruitment exercise by the ministry of interior.

This followed a motion moved by Rep. Hafiz Ibrahim Kawu on the floor of the House on Wednesday which called for the cancellation of the recruitment exercise.

Presenting the motion, the lawmaker called on the Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Services Board (CDFIPB) to immediately suspend and/or cancel the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) conducted on the 7th and 8th December 2020 for being discriminatory.

He said the Aptitude Tests was contrary to the enshrined principles of fairness and social justice.

He said the exercise should revert to the previous way which the agencies have been conducting recruitment exercises in the past.

Rep. Kawu said 190,000 candidates applied for different cadres advertised for Degree, HND, NCE, OND and SSCE holders in the ongoing recruitment exercise by the ministry.

He, however, disclosed that, out of the 190,000 candidates who applied, only 9,460 candidates were invited for the CBAT.

“The first phase of the recruitment exercise is a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) where the Civil Defence, Federal Fire Service, Immigration and Nigeria Correctional Services Board (CDFIPB) partnered with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to conduct,” he said.

According to him, the Computer Based Aptitude Test for recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service was held on 7th December, 2020 while that of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) took place on 8th December, 2020 in 126 centers across the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

“The computer based test only favoured candidates who can operate computers as the Civil Defence, Federal Fire Service, Immigration and Correctional Services Board (CDFIPB) did not consider citizens who may not be skilled in computer operation by providing an alternative for handwritten examinations in order to provide a level playing ground for all candidates who applied,” he said.

After debates and contributions on the motion, the House amended the prayer for the cancellation of the exercise and resolved to investigate the matter.

It mandated its Committees on Interior and Federal Character to monitor the recruitment exercise and ensure strict compliance and adherence to the principles of fairness and social justice.

However, the Committee On Interior, Federal Character and Reformatory Institution; Hon. Nasiru Sani Sango Daura, in coordination of the committee outcome states on 21st April, 2021 as thus;

” That the House do consider the Report of the Committee On Interior, Federal Character and Reformatory Institution on Call For Intervention in the on-going Recruitment Exercise into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) ( HR. 99/12/2020) ( Laid 21/4/2021)

(I) That the introduction of Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) was to add value to the Civil Defense, Fire, Immigration and Prison Services Board’s recruitment process and also ensure transparency and fairness;

PRESS STATEMENT
NSCDC PURPORTED RECRUITMENT: BEWARE OF SCAMMERS.

Ref: AAA.003/CPRD/NHQ/ABJ/VOL. 4/002

Date: 2nd April, 2021

The attention of the management of the Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps has been drawn to some fake messages currently being circulated on social media inviting applicants for NSCDC recruitment examination scheduled to take place at some undisclosed venues.

The Corps wishes to distant itself from this fraudulent and malicious act of some unscrupulous elements in their attempt to hoodwink unsuspecting Nigerians especially the youths into thinking that NSCDC has commenced it's recruitment process thereby demanding for unsolicited assistance and kickbacks to influence the selection process.

It is instructive to state unequivocally that the maliciously circulated information about NSCDC Recruitment Examination is not only untrue and misleading but mischievous, fraudulent, unfounded and did not emanate from the stable of the Corps but sent out by scammers and fraudsters in their quest to swindle innocent job seekers.

The general public is therefore advised to take this SCAM ALERT very seriously so as not to fall victim under any guise. Consequently, applicants are advised to disregard the rumours of any recruitment examination, screening or selection process as it is a new trick adopted by criminal elements to defraud, molest, kidnap and kill their unsuspecting victims.

The Newly Appointed Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, Mni is presently studying the current position of the recruitment exercise which was commenced by his predecessor with a view to coming up with a well structured, transparent and credible template as well as time-bound plans to conclude the process in record time.

To this end, the Corps is using this medium to warn anyone using the name of the organization to dupe, scam or defraud innocent Nigerians to desist forthwith from such criminal act before the long arm of the law will catch up with them, imminently as the Commandant General has ordered a serious manhunt for those behind the sinister agenda with a promise to bring the perpetrators to book.

Signed:

DCC OLUSOLA ODUMOSU
DIRECTOR, PUBLIC RELATIONS
NHQ.
