minfelix: Thats why NFF is coming to challenge them that their clearance process was fraudulent and incomplete….you are not a congolese official or Nff official to know the nitty gritties involved in the switch process…. Those that knows are challenging the switch process….When Ghana beat us in 2022 NFF did not file any petition on switch of some of Ghana foreign induced players because all things were done right….
NFF said they sense or saw something fishy in DRC switch process and they are challenging it…why should that be an issue for you, should you not also try to reason with them if there could possibly be something fishy? No answer the guy again abeg |

Karlovych:
The content creators and influencers with insiders at FIFA, February 16 has come and gone without any verdict.
The NFF and their agbado lawyers should continue disgracing themselves It’s always the same people who don’t like anything positive that rush out to talk first. The moment a date passes without a verdict, you crawl out just to mock as if football cases are decided by your personal calendar. Seeking redress when a country believes another fielded ineligible players is not a crime. It’s the proper legal process. Nigeria and the NFF are not the first to file a case and won’t be the last. Plenty of cases have been filed before, some won, some lost. Because February 16 came and went, you suddenly found confidence to talk. Relax. When the final verdict comes win or lose, the process itself will make FIFA pay closer attention to national laws on player eligibility and strengthen the system. Until then, go back and sit down. Stop behaving like someone waiting only for bad news to celebrate. Hide again and let serious people discuss football properly. |

If Congo is penalized, then FIFA may need to call for a playoff btw NGA and CMR. Nigeria don win one match before. Cameroon go play Gabon too |

I’m still not sure that was football Brentford played tonight. Long throw-ins as your main attacking weapon and everyone is applauding it.
Arsenal didn’t help themselves either cheap fouls, needless free kicks and corners made Brentford look far more dangerous than they actually were.
Take away the set-pieces and those throws, and Brentford look like an average side and very reminiscent of the old Stoke City approach in today’s Premier League. |

Anyone claiming that the NFF used ChatGPT and Wikipedia to prepare the petition against DR Congo should not be taken SERIOUSLY.
You were not present when the petition was drafted or submitted to FIFA for consideration. You’re simply drawing your own conclusions and using online articles to support your argument.
Let him continue defending DR Congo if he wants. As far as I’m concerned, this case could go either way.
DR Congo is not taking this matter lightly; they are also worried about Nigeria’s petition.
All we can do is stay positive about the case. So let’s ignore that MAN and keep faith in the petition. |

Karlovych: I'm entitled to my opinion regarding the matter, I don't believe the NFF has a case based on FIFA eligibility guidelines.
If the SE are successful I'll support them at the WC playoff and the main tournament If DRC law does not recognize dual citizenship, then any player who still legally holds another nationality may NOT be a Congolese national under DRC law and FIFA eligibility depends on valid nationality under national law. I don't know your problem with Nigeria. FIFA has acted on nationality law conflicts before. Court of Arbitration for Sport have ruled in past cases that national law overrides football convenience. If nationality is invalid or improperly acquired then the player is ineligible, matches can be forfeited even years later This isn’t about sentiment. FIFA eligibility depends on valid nationality under national law. If DRC law does not recognize dual citizenship, then players who still hold and use foreign nationality may not legally be Congolese at all. That’s not opinion it’s FIFA Article 5. Nigeria is right to ask FIFA to examine the legality.” But saying “NFF has no case” is simply false. There is clearly a legal basis worth examining. You so dismissing this as “no case” is either ignorance or bad faith. |

Karlovych: Are you sure about that? Both players had dual nationality, but Tunisia alleged Cameroon's failure to follow FIFA regulations compliance. That is Joel Matip and Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting had not correctly completed their switch of allegiance from Germany. FIFA rejected the appeal, stating no breach of regulations occurred because both players were cleared for Cameroon, and both had previously played in the 2010 World Cup Nigeria's petition is somehow different from Tunisia's petition. Nigeria own is on violation of Congolese domestic law on dual citizenship. That is conflict between national laws and FIFA regulations. In fact, Tunisia argued that FIFA rules were broken, while Nigeria is arguing that domestic law was broken, making the FIFA clearance fraudulent. Make I just wait for FIFA. I'm out. |

Karlovych: ..Is it the Congolese FA that issues passport or the Congolese Immigration, it's like saying NFF issues passports.
Guinea has Guirassy playing for them despite the country not allowing dual citizenship, same with many nations like Suriname and China that have foreign born players in their side.
A country has a right to issue passports to anyone they deem fit, but for FIFA they have to ensure they meet at least 1/3 requirement stipulated on their rule of which all those players have a Congolese parent
My last point to clarify , if Ludacris and Samuel L Jackson who both have Gabonese passports were footballers, they wouldn't qualify to represent the national team according to FIFA rules despite being citizens of the country I don't know if you're trying to create your own happiness while looking down on Nigeria's petition before fifa. See countries that strictly prohibit dual citizenship do not and will not issue a passport to someone holding another nationality unless that person first formally renounces their foreign citizenship including Congo . These countries enforce single citizenship to ensure sole allegiance. I thought I would see congo constitution from you on dual citizenship. Children born abroad to Congolese parents can retain dual citizenship until their 21st birth which they have 12 months to renounce foreign citizenship. The legal position is clear on this, Congo constitution does not allow dual citizenship for adults. Citizenship is technically lost if a person acquires another nationality. Go to DRC Congo during elections and you will know that they don't joke with dual citizenship. I can't remember the particular court case before their last presidential election. No special treatment. Allow FIFA deicide na. |

The Brazilians Togo called up on the other hand, had no Togolese parentage and didn't meet the residence requirements even though they held the passports, hence the problem Another angle is age. Those guys are over 21 |
