PoliticsAfrica Leaders Plan Boko Haram Offensive by aaamos(op): 12:30pm On Feb 17, 2015
Leaders from Central Africa have met in Cameroon to
finalise plans for a military offensive against Boko
Haram fighters in Nigeria and neighbouring countries.
Representatives of 10 nations met in the capital Yaounde
on Monday under the aegis of the Economic Community
of Central African States (ECCAS) and committed to
spend $86m to fight Boko Haram.
They also urged the international community to provide
more support to counter the armed group.
Nigeria-based Boko Haram has widened its attacks into
neighbouring nations, notably Cameroon and Chad, in a
conflict estimated to have claimed 13,000 lives since
2009.
"This session is historic because we must use it to
respond to the barbaric actions of the terrorist group
Boko Haram," Hamid Alami, secretary-general of ECCAS,
said on Monday.
"This terrorist group has the military and human
resources of a conventional army, but uses asymmetric
methods, making the fight more complex and costly for
Cameroon and Chad."
The aim of Monday's discussion was to come up with
"an agreed solution" on the fight against the group, a
source close to the Cameroonian government told the
AFP news agency.
Nigeria absent
Nigeria, where elections have been postponed by six
weeks until late March because of Boko Haram activity in
swaths of the northeast, was absent from the talks as it
is not an ECCAS member.
Chad, Cameroon, Niger, and Nigeria have formed a
military alliance to combat the group who is fighting
against western influence in the predominantly Muslim
north of Nigeria.
Boko Haram wants to introduce Islamic law in the areas
in which it has influence.
Operational plans for the regional force have yet to be
submitted to the Peace and Security Council of the
African Union for approval before being sent to the
United Nations Security Council, according to a
statement released after the regional talks on Monday.
Cameroon's army said on Monday it has killed 86 Boko
Haram fighters and detained 1,000 people suspected of
having links to the group.
Five Cameroonian soldiers were also killed during the
clashes in the Waza region near the border with Nigeria,
defence ministry spokesman Didier Badjeck said on
Monday.
The detentions came as police in Niger said they had
arrested more than 160 people suspected of having links
to Boko Haram in the country's Diffa region, a border
area with Nigeria which was attacked by the group

PoliticsSix Types Of People You Meet In The Banking Hall by aaamos(op): 8:17pm On Feb 12, 2015
SIX TYPES OF PEOPLE YOU MEET IN THE
BANKING HALL
1 - The Pen Borrowers: They re always in the bank,
common pen they won't have. These people are very
dangerous, once u lend them d pen, u may find it
difficult 2 identify them at a bank in Nigeria, once
someone tells u "may I've your pen?" Believe me
bros, that's d last time u will see that pen (except if
u're lucky).
2 - The "I dey ur Back" Team: Immediately dey enter
d bank, even b4 taking d slip (withdrawal or deposit)
all they do is to know the last person and u hear dem
saying, I'm at your back. If care is nt taken, about 8
people can tell u "I dey ur back" then at d end of d
day, they cause confusion (na me dey hin back,I don
tell am I was here b4 u blah blah)
3 - The No protocol team: This kind of pple don't
obey d 1st come, 1st
served slogan! They're mouthed in d bank!
Immediately they come in, they just walk up 2 d
cashier or manager, he asks them 2 sit down &
within 5 mins they've completed there transactions
while u still dey there
looking like mumu 4 queue.(Daris God oooo)
4 - The Bank Door rejectees: These pple will always
av a problem with d bank door, then u see them
removing their belts, car keys, mobile phones etc
and yet d machine keeps shouting"pls go back" My
bros next time come 2 bank naked! Biko, he go allow
u in... # LOL!
5 - The slip wasters: These kind of pple can waste
slip 4 Nigeria! To fill the
withdrawal slip or deposit slip na JAMB questions,u
see dem cancelling, tearing, squeezing & take
another one. To write common 3780 Naira in words
na gobe. Even d so called undergraduates are found
wanting in this scenario....... ............... .........CHAI!! !
6 - The pple from Another Planet: These pple usually
behave like them no dey dis world since 2 yrs! They
will always b asking 4 today's date, even after telling
them d correct date, they will ask some1 else again.
I tire 4 dis pple oooooo......
Are u laughing already?

PoliticsObasanjo Defects To APC by aaamos(op): 4:46pm On Jan 26, 2015
This is not just breaking news, it is
also breath-taking but it is always
our pleasure to bring you firsthand
information so as to keep you
abreast of happenings in and out of
Nigeria.
Research has it that the former
President of Nigeria, Olusegun
Obasanjo aka OBJ, has finally
defected to the GMB-Driven party –
APC.
This is a shocker but speaking with
the former President OBJ himself at
his farm in Ota, he has given a few
reasons why his defecting should
not just be accepted by Nigerians
but should also be applauded.
Find his statement below:
“I have reason to believe that most
or should I say all of you are
wondering why I have chosen to
defect to the defunct APC and I must
say that if I had been told that I
would have to switch party some 5
years ago, I myself would have
argued it.
I believe in transparency and
integrity but unfortunately, PDP is
an opposite of such attributes.
They dwell in deception and in the
lowest form of debase if I may say.
I believe change is what Nigeria
needs and regardless of whether
GMB can deliver or not, it is still
change in a way. Nigeria needs to be
delivered from a useless
government that has taken over
since I left presidency.
If you have read my book, you will
see that Jonathan is nothing
different from my VP when I was
president. Atiku was just a big time
backbiter unknown to him that
when you have people behind you,
your back actually becomes visible
to you.
I want to use this medium to say a
very big thank you to the leaders of
the APC for accepting me as I am
and I am proud to say that come
2015, APC is taking over Nigeria for
good of us all.
I am a civilian like you all now so I
understand what it means to live in
the suburbs as you are all aware
that I stay nowhere else apart from
my village here in Ota.
Finally, I would like to implore all
Nigerians that come 2015 Elections,
VOTE GOOD GOVERNMENT NOT
GOOD LUCK”
