Hello, everyone. The title says it all. I want to make a final decision on which one to go for between a 2016 Mercedes Benz E350 Luxury; a 2017 Honda Accord V6 Touring; and a 2019 Kia Optima SX. I need something classy, fast, solid, luxurious, fun, reliable, and of course practical. I have a daily driver already, so she is only going to be used sparingly. Good road isn't a problem where I live. Thank you. While people focus more on NDLEA and ICPC, things are happening also elsewhere. NDIC is releasing letters, and so also NFIU. NPA will soon embark on a massive replacement. NIMASA will very soon call, so also NERC. CBN is employing per-second on a 24/7 basis. I wish everyone here success. 28 Likes |

Omakraid: Apply. If the training is coming pretty soon (and there's no waiver for people with a condition like yours), then the risk isn't worth taking, forget it. But if it will take time, you can give it a shot after proper consultation with your surgeon. Conversely, the CS may be a blessing in disguise for God has His mysterious ways of doing things. Congratulations and best wishes. 15 Likes |

Olanrewaju010: Lol. At a certain stage of our life, money isn't the only determining factor in making a decision. Factors such as carrier progression, passion for the job, environment, personal conviction, and goals play more vital roles. For instance, if you are employed as SM in NDIC and at the same time PM at, let's say, SEC, you may likely choose SEC over NDIC due to the GL difference, regardless of the mouth-watering pay package NDIC is known for. A friend left PenCom for an Agency that pays much less but with 2 GL (6 years) ahead of his previous position. Another turned down a better NPA offer because he can't cope with the "madness" in Lagos. Someone was looking for who to take the NCDMB slot in his family but "none was willing to go and live in Bayelsa". A lady quit her CBN job and open a school, she paid for Hajj (again) on the ground that her previous Hajj was paid with the CBN money... She wasn't sure if it was accepted or not, but now she paid with Halal (pure) money, (as she put it). I know someone who left the office of the Accountant General of the Federation when his juniors (in the same office) were busy buying mansions at Jabi, Guzape, and Life Camp... A friend left NDIC for FIRS due to GL differences, another is heading for NERC. There're a plethora of reasons why people decline or quit a seemingly good job. Everyone in this life has a story to tell but if what we see is all we can see, then we've seen nothing. I wish everyone here success. 52 Likes 1 Share |

Vasgas: You're lucky that he has the time to reply one in ten, some may not even read your message, while most that read may not bother to reply. Now, don't disturb him with frequent random messages, master the art of timing. If for instance, he's a Muslim, be consistent with your Friday messages and the best time to send them is early in the morning before he leaves home when the day is still fresh. Ramadan is a few hours away, it's another opportunity (assuming he's a Muslim). Some were lucky to get good jobs via this method. Someone got CAC (during Al Mustapha), another DPR (during Sarki), and another also CBN (during Sanusi), but my friend wasn't lucky as he got blocked by Umar Ibrahim, the then NDIC boss. Nonetheless, these people have a lot going on their heads and they've many interests to carry along... However, securing a job in an A-rated Agency is worth the patience, the wait, and the risk. Your children will forever thank you for that especially if you take them to exclusive schools which means a "good" cycle early in life. In today's world, nothing guarantees success than determination, information, location, and association (connection). Best wishes. 33 Likes 3 Shares |

Esmos597: To my mind, CBN (except you're at the management level), is not. Sorry. The "only" good thing about the CBN is the unrestricted access to loans at almost zero interest rates. Having CBN on your CV is another plus also. People are leaving CBN for some of the Agencies I've earlier mentioned. Their per-second recruitment/replacement which is now becoming a norm also comes with some impediments. 11 Likes |

Mubby4luv: People are coming back to take good jobs in the "shithole". This Japa mentality has done more harm than good to some Nigerian youth, sadly. Life outside Nigeria isn't as rosy as many are made to believe. 17 Likes 1 Share |

MBello24: It depends on the "federal job" in question. If it's the elite A-rated Agency, grab it and forget about PTDF Scholarship. But if it's a Ministry or all these mushroom agencies, take the scholarship and don't look back. Studying abroad, especially in the UK, opens doors you may not sometimes imagine but working in an A-list agency in Nigeria will make you live like a King. I wish I can say it better. Best wishes. 11 Likes |
