Why this scam again? The same writing on the placards again? These people paid to carry the placards should be ashamed of themselves. |

Presentation done inside an uncompleted building? This must be an arranged presentation where nobody goes home with anything. Our Senators too have become Yahoo, Yahoo Senators. |

I have been trying to avoid saying this for a long time, when a good thread comes up for intelligent answers some dim witts will start to post unbelievable responses which most times come as a shock to me. I guess a comedy or rather, a market place should be created for them to post their silly, rude and unintelligent responses. |
Culled from a posted article by a friend. ---- LEADERSHIP FAILURE - BABATUNDE RAJI FASHOLA Sometime ago, a crazed Rottweiler dog attacked and mauled several children in a playground in UK. Three kids died of their injuries. The dog was killed by the authorities, irrespective of the outcry from several animal welfare groups. I would have preferred that the owner of the dog that did not curb the anti-social tendencies of the dog early, and also released the crazed dog in a childrens play ground should have been killed, while the dog is rehabilitated. This same scenario is been repeated everyday in Lagos... The crazed and rabid dog is named LASTMA, the childrens playground is the various roads in Lagos state; while the irresponsible owner is GOVERNOR RAJI FASHOLA. Yesterday, while trying to turn at Mile 2 from the Apapa Oshodi expressway, in order to head back to Oshodi Oke, I was accosted in the traffic holdup on the service lane by two dirty and rough LASTMA officials, and accused of "Changing Lanes & Kerb Crossing". The service lane (from Fatgbems filling station) has two clearly demarcated lanes. One part has a pot-hole, while the other 'good' lane is perpetually blocked by commercial buses that are loading Alaba, e.t.c. Although the place is not a bus stop, it is permanently blocked by commercial busses with LASTMA officials simply standing bye. In order to pass through the pot hole on the other lane, it is necessary to place one set of tyres on the non-existent median (kerb) so as not to damage the underside of your vehicle. This careful driving to avoid damage to your vehicle is what the LASTMA officials lie in wait for, and arrest you as an offender. Unfortunately, when I was wrongly accused of a previous act a few years ago, I had insisted on my right to be heard, and visited the office of the man in charge with a protest letter and a recording of the entire incident on my PDA (Kayode Opeifa - who was designated as a 'transport adviser' to Fashola then), the man refused to see me and insisted that LASTMA decisions are not subject to appeal. You delegated your authority to an appointee to manage LASTMA for you, without supervision. Delegation without supervision is an ABDICATION. This is primary to leadership. We now have a situation where LASTMA officials are above the law, they seize your wallet and its entire content, they even follow motorists to the ATM machine for withdrawals. AS A LEADER, YOU HAVE FAILED!! There should be a properly articulated and convenient process of lodging complaints on the excesses of these 'mad dogs'. People like Opeifa should not be in charge of any formal organisation - He sent his P.A. to ask me for the name of any politician that might have sent me. In the history of Lagos State, only three (3) governors have made any commendable impact, namely: Mobolaji Johnson, Lateef Jakande & Buba Marwa. During your 1st term, you were on the right path to joining the rarefied society of those three people (whom I term as 'Eagles'), but subsequently; you have derailed. It is an acknowledged fact worldwide that the Nigerian political class has the lowest standard of integrity and morals. Thus, assessing yourself with reference to other Nigerian governors is not worthy of celebration. Birds of the same feather flock together...........but, EAGLES DON'T FLOCK!!!!!!! |

Hello I am new to this group and i came about this topic as i was doing some research on the certifications required to be a Health and Safety Professional. I am seeking entry into the Health and Safety field to be a HSE practitioner and I think acquiring professional qualifications will really enhance my motive. I am interested in the Energy (Oil & Gas) Industry I am currently domiciled out of Nigeria and i intend to relocate back ASAP. I intend to go into this field when i relocate as my current profession is not practiced as such in Nigeria. (Application Testing in the Information Technology Industry) I will really like to get in touch with Diehard and Brainwave. I have read their contributions and will like to have a chat with them. I don't know if posting my email address to establish contact is allowed or how to establish contact with both of you. Can you both (Diehard and Brainwave) let me know. Many thanks Aba. |
