Here are somethings you can do....
Make sure your host is fast
Download an effective caching plugin
Use a plugin to optimize the WordPress database
Use a plugin to optimize all images cause that's one of the main things that slows down loading
Disable all plugins and see if the load time improves. If it does, then it could be a plugin (I've seen alot of such cases)
