Nairaland GeneralSeven Morning Routines That Will Improve Your Productivity And Change Your Life by abayomitheblog(op): 12:28pm On Sep 30, 2019
Morning routines, to me are a must for everyone. Perhaps you have heard the name Tim Ferris. Tim is the author of tools of titans among others.
Anyways, I am currently reading his tools of titans. A book with so many lessons from successful men and women.

I noticed that every person interviewed in that book had one or two things they do every morning before starting the day. A morning routine.

Here are some of the morning routines that they engage in as a successful person

1. Wake up early
Many of them are early risers, and by that I mean they get up from around 4am. Very few sleep until 6am.

I don't know if waking early is a perquisite to success.

2. Make your bed

Tim advice you make your bed once you get out of it. This is because if you make your bed in the morning, there is a sense of accomplishment that comes with it for him.

3. Meditating

Every person in the book has a form of meditation that they do before starting the day. Meditation has helped them connect with nature and disconnect themselves from unnecessary distraction.
Tim recommends meditation twice daily.

4. Exercise

Exercising is part of living healthy, it has numerous benefits. You just have to exercise or at least do some stretches early in the morning.

I love the successful life too, who doesn't so I started my morning routine heck it outhttps://yomisblog.com/morning-routine/

HealthHealthy Lifestyle Explained In Fewer Than A Thousand Character by abayomitheblog(op): 1:19pm On Sep 19, 2019
The term healthy lifestyle can pass as a cliché nowadays, you hear people like me advocate living a healthy lifestyle (which is a good thing) but what does it actually mean to live a healthy lifestyle?.

You would agree with me that a someone who lives a healthy lifestyle, does not smoke or drink alcohol. Well, as much as that is correct, healthy lifestyle is way more than a smoking habit or drinking habit.

Let us define healthy lifestyle
Wikipedia defined a healthy lifestyle as one which helps and improve people’s health and well-being. The term well-being is the way more in healthy lifestyle. That, I referred to earlier.

It delves into your mental state, stress level, even your relationships too. I understand that a lifestyle is tough to change or adopt, yeah, that is why it is a lifestyle.

A lifestyle is not a destination, it is a way of life. It is something you do for as long as it serves you. It is a habit.

Components of a healthy lifestyle

A healthy lifestyle is often associated with

Proper Diet
I’ll say a diet can only be proper depending on your health goals, for instance someone looking to lose weight will go on low carbs and someone hoping to gain weight will feed on a lot of healthy carbs. Depending on your health goal, a diet will be proper.

Having said that, every diet will definitely contain a bulk of proteins and vegetables. So, don’t hesitate to add them to your diet.

Physical Exercise
Exercise is really important for someone who wants to live healthy. Spending at least thirty minutes to keep your body and organs active can help you prevent some chronic diseases like heart attack.

And in today’s world where majority of us spend hours in one position perhaps sitting, it is important to regularly change positions to induce proper blood flow.

For every hour you spend sitting down, try to take a fifteen-minute walk around.

Stress Management
When you’re stressed, you are prone to certain physical and mental illnesses. Stress, fortunately can be managed in certain ways like meditating and taking time to relax, disconnect from the situation.

HealthIs Sickle Cell Disorder A Disability Or Not by abayomitheblog(op): 5:20pm On Aug 18, 2019
Our opinions on arguments that happen in our daily lives are just results of mostly our own personal experiences and partly that of others. When we discuss whether sickle cell is a disability or not, it is important to put faith aside and be more realistic. I have heard many people say sickle cell is not a disability because they reject it with faith. Faith is important yet let’s be realistic as well.

According to the English dictionary, disability is the absence of competent physical, intellectual, or moral power, means, fitness and the like.

In United states of America, people living with sickle cell are entitled to the getting the disability benefits although under some conditions. You must meet a criteria but that is a society where things are the hospital system is pretty much easier compared to Africa.

I have been on both sides of the coin on this subject matter. I once agreed that sickle cell is not a disability and I am not disabled but not based on faith.
As a young boy in secondary school, I never knew I had sickle cell. I was like the smallest and skinniest boy in class, I never knew it was a complication from living with sickle cell until my late years of secondary school. Then, all of the stature, fatigue, pampering from some teachers all of it began to make sense. But even after I knew everything about my Genotype nothing really changed, I was still that boy that played football (even though I hated it) and did everything I wanted to do. So, I couldn’t say my sickle cell was in any way a disability.

However, in 2016, I was diagnosed with avascular necrosis, a sickle cell complication.
