There is no if. I am a victim of this man's wickedness. He ensured I lost 1hour of my exam time in my final year 2 paper. Only because I didn't bring a docket. Mind you, the procedure is to reprint and pay #1000 to the MBA office for verification. I did that 2 hours before exams started and he refused to sign. So I had 1 hour to do a 2 hour maths paper. |
I hope the mods will help tell Nigerians about this till it reaches the right authority. |
Students of MBA school of the University of Lagos are set to write a petition against the coordinator of the programme, one Dr. Olatunde Julius Otusanya for allegedly harassing some of their colleagues. Mr Olatunde Otusanya, a Doctor at the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Business Administration in Unilag, is accused of bullying and harrassing postgraduate student of the school during examination at the Jibowu campus of the MBA School. BreezeReporters gathered that on Monday, 22nd May, 2017, students were seated to write Production and Operation management examination but the exam was disrupted after Dr. Otusanya allegedly assaulted one of the students physically. Trouble started when some students reportedly didn’t enter the exam hall 10 minutes before the commencement of the paper and Dr. Otusanya refused to give question sheets to the students as punishment for not following the instruction. A student who would later be assaulted by the coordinator then stood, demanding that the students be given question papers to enable them start accordingly, a call which apparently angered the lecturer. According to students who spoke with BreezeReporters in confidence, Dr Otusanya went physical with the student, dragging him in an attempt to forcefully evict the student from the exam hall. Students lamented that “the MBA school of the University of Lagos designed for experience and matured professionals to pursue their academic and professional empowerment is now been turned into a mockery of a glorified secondary school due to the arrant disposition and standard of the faculties and instructors who manage the programme. Speaking under the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter, the students described the incident as a “show of shame”, saying “the coordinator of the MBA programme, Dr. Otusanya, practically turned himself into a bully creature, harassing civil postgraduate students who were about to write one of their exams. In a follow up statement sent to BreezeReporters, they said the lecturer went about the exams hall harassing any of the students who stood up against him while the ugly situation lasted, adding that the “whole exam hall became rowdy with shouts and threats from all corners. According to the statement, it took the intervention of other sane lecturers, on hand to invigilate the exams, and some matured students on the programme, barely saving the day from the ignoble coordinator. The Coordinator was also alleged to have slapped a woman during the exams of the same MBA school last session (2015/2016), because she came late into the exam hall. Students blamed their maltreatment on lack of strong students’ unionism to speak for them, revealing that they are not treated as though as a major stakeholder of the institution. The students have, however, vowed to take up the case with the school authority by strongly petitioning the person of Dr. Otusanya, and his capacity cum competence to lead the MBA School. http://www.breezereporters.com/unilag-mba-coordinator-assaults-postgraduate-students/ I was a part of the 2015 set. I was in class when that lady was slapped. I was equally harassed by that man. He has no business being a coordinator, he should be scheduled to fight Joshua. |

https://www.nairaland.com/1967319/unilag-mba-tests-means-generate#27460702 My experience at UNILAG yesterday. |
Like every other person that needed to upgrade his/her educational qualification, I applied to the UNILAG MBA programme. I prepared well enough, gathering past questions and refreshing my brains after a long break from academics. Test dates were sent to us and appropriate time indicated on our exam pass. I thought finally we have a system that truly conduct CBT. Come to think of it, if you sold say 30,000 forms at #22,500 each, and you want all the candidates to write in one day, how many computers do you need and how much of time will be allowed for each applicant a such that everyone writes on the communicated date? I don't think the school accountant can submit an account short of 1 candidate (#22,000) to the authorities, meaning that they knew they couldn't cater for the numbers, all they wanted was the money. Just when Nigerian youths thought they were over the Immigration's exam scandal. Two small canopies were provided with little or no seats. People were made to stand for hours in the rain (please are we expected to write optimally after the stress of standing around? or was it meant to be a military drill?). As at 7pm last night, people scheduled for 2pm slot were yet to write, a man who claim to be the Dean came up to address us by 7pm. He told us to go home, that the exams will be rescheduled with no decisive dates. I guess advance fee fraud is the order of the day in Nigeria now. Please if UNILAG cannot conduct a simple CBT exam for us, can they atleast refund our #22,500? I am almost giving up on this country. arrrrrghhhhhhh! |
I believe if you are literate enough to own a mobile fone and buy bundle to browse, you should be literate enough to know, you don't judge an issue with half backed truth. @ The poster, apologies for your experience, however there is no evidence here that you actually placed an order. Kindly supply your order details, should Jumia need to do a rectification. Put your order number up here. I have dealt with Jumia for a while and the truth remains that COD or WEBPAY does not guarantee certainty of delivery as a lot of odds are involved in getting these goods to you. If you have ever planned an event for a good number of people, you will understand that you may not be able to satisfy all of them. Yes promos are planned based of forecasting. If you over plan, the company makes a loss, if you under plan peoples expectations get dashed. Lastly, I will like the poster to post here a copy of the voucher mail that was sent to him(without the codes of course) you will all see there is a caption saying a voucher was processed for him as he was not reachable via phone. If he wanted a refund, all he needed to do was to ask for one, and not resulting to help seun drive the traffic of all unemployed keyboard warriors(no pun intended)to his site. Ask for a refund if you truly placed an order, its not that hard. My one cent. |

Dear Nairalanders, Did anyone get to see this cartoon while growing up? The only thing I got is just a screen shot and can't seem to remember the name of the series. I was having an argument with a friend that claimed I never watched it, and asked that I provide the name if I actually did. I watched the cartoon but can't recall the name. Kindly assist. Thanks.

Sometimes I feel the problem of Nigeria is not just greedy politician, but a generation of adults that have held us by the balls since we were kids and decades after, they still feel we ain't grown. It could be as small as Ɣ☺ΰR father not letting you drive a car or even silly restraints around the homes. Youths are the leaders of tomorrow, today is the tomorrow we talked about yesterday. Please retire old people! |
