I'm a die-hard advocate of ONE NIGERIA, but the north needs to address the following things for them to be taken seriously: 1. High rate of illiteracy 2. Social marginalization of majority of women. 3. High rate of poverty. 4. Alarming number of out of school children (many of who prefer to be beggers). 5. Religious extremism and intolerance. 6. Brazen corruption & selfishness among the northern elites, who prefer the masses to keep flocking around them for handouts. 7. High rate of unemployment among youths, many of whom opted for terrorism, thuggery or other crimes. 8. Incessant cases of religiously motivated crises. 9. High rate of insecurity. 10. Failure of convert agricultural potential into national/international value. 11. Prevelance of diseases (esp, among women and children) due to poor hygiene. |

No need to be carrying giant cylinders around in my car like a tèrrorist. FG should: 1. Resuscitate our moribund refineries or allow more private investors to build and operate theirs in the country. 2. Boost the non-oil sector & leverage on exports. 3. Ensure stable and affordable power supply. 4. Build up our foreign reserves. 5. Curb oil bunkering, corruption & round-tripping activities in the oil sector. 6. Audit NNPC' activities for the past 40 years and make the findings public. Prosecute those found culpable. 7. Encourage and empower local manufacturers to produce custom made CNG vehicles. 2 Likes |
