Fezzar:Did your school require it or na just out of precautions you do am? |
Royals1st:I know Turkey no dey ask for covid test and turkish airline no ask me for anything either as of 1.5wks ago. If you are flying turkish airline then you are fine. If na other airline, call them and ask. And if na turkish airline, call them and reverify as requirements dey change everyday with this covid situation. You go need covid PCR test (not Rapid ooo) to enter 9ja back - can do it at airport or at the hotel wey you dey stay in Turkey. Na Antalya we went for vacation so cant speak much about the city of Istanbul....na just pass thru for a few days for us. Enjoy Turkey...na beautiful country! Cheers |
Royals1st:If you are going on visitor's visa, no need to get a PCR or rapid (covid) test. I was there last week and nobody gave any issue flying from 9ja to IST. Flew turkish airline. Don't know if students require it sha. |
Anybody with insight on the below? thanks Abeks009: |
Experts in the house, Questions: How long can one stay in Turkey (without fine) if tourist visa is valid for 3 months and visa states duration of stay 10 days? The PAID ticket that was submitted was for 14days......will the return ticket have to be changed to match the 10days? Can one stay 1 month if they wanted? I saw on the turkey website site (http://www.mfa.gov.tr/general-information-about-turkish-visas.en.mfa) 90 days is allowed within a 180 day period so kinda confused ![]() Cheers Abeks009: |
Dapsyn33:without an agent. |
Update: He picked up his passport today. 3months tourism visa, single entry. Antalya Tk is waiting for him! ![]() I hope this helps someone else. Cheers! Abeks009: |
tracin123:it is well. it took my family member about 3weeks in total i think. went oct 16th and got email to pickup yesterday nov 3rd. got email on oct 20th to submit paid confirmed ticket sha. |
Jimohbrymo:it's optional. |
Fezzar:some lady that attends to people at mzvisa..... |
tracin123:So I wasn't there and was paraphrasing what my family member encountered. He stated, he was being professional and the girl had earpiece on while attending to him and even threw money anyhow. Well, its all over now....we move on! thanks for sharing your experience. VIP payment might have made her smile ![]() Cheers |
Folarge06:Congratulations! Did you pickup at mzvisa or at the embassy? Thanks |
streetwise2015:LOL he spent more of his time outside in queue trying to get in even with an appointment date than the interview (took less than 10mins). Said one girl behind the counter/boot was very rude (I think I read about her somewhere on this thread )General Questions: 1- Why he was going to Turkey 2- Duration of visit 3- What he does for work 4- His position at work (so emphasis was on this one for whatever reason) 5- If he's married They didn't ask about travel history. He had same day flight from Lagos and he almost missed his return leg because mzvisa was very hectic getting in. It's advisable to spend a night if you can. Another point, make sure your bank statement print out is as close to the day you want to interview as possible. Cos he printed his bank statement 2weeks before the interview and he had to reprint it again on that day.......because they complained it was too far out. Also, carry dollars for application fees. |
teamb:Those visas expired hence not eligible for eVisa. thanks |
dehiero:Yes but they didnt take them. He uploaded it during the application also. |
bankyret:Those visas expired hence not eligible for eVisa. thanks |
bankyret:Congratulations! what's the validity of the visa? multiple or single entry? |
streetwise2015:Application form Passport Passport photos x2 Application fees Flight reservation Hotel reservation 6 months bank statements Work Introduction letter Work ID card Pay slip Insurance for duration of your visit And GOD! You can get alot of the info from their website also, he basically used their website for guidance. All the above docs (copy) was also uploaded within the application and he had an appointment date (i didnt think it matter but maybe it does). From his experience and from what others have stated, mzvisa was a mess to deal with so just be mentally prepared. I'll feedback here once he picks up his pp. Cheers! |
streetwise2015:UK, Dubai, Kenya, and US. |
streetwise2015:He applied himself and did not use an agent. The passport he took was a renewed passport (so kinda virgin cos there is no visa in it) but yes he has travel history. |
My family member that applied for visitor's visa on Oct 16th also got a pickup email today around 8pm. Thought id feedback to the group. Cheers! |
Royals1st:I think someone on here stated they did not get any email afterwards - they just went to the embassy and their passport was ready (they are just not consistent it seems). If you look back with the discussions maybe you will find who I'm referring too, it was for visitor's visa sha. If it's not too inconvenient might be worth going to the embassy. I know going from Lagos would be costly and not convenient. All the best and let us know how it goes. Cheers |
Bigboy75:check your junk mail or try to give them a call (maybe email also). Maybe you can find their phone number somewhere within this forum. |
Bigboy75:D person I know went on Friday Oct 16th and got email on Tuesday Oct 20......so 2 business days. Cheers |
Folarge06:House, A family member applied for visitor's visa in Abj on Friday Oct 16th and got the same message as @Folarge06. He stated he submitted his booked/confirmed (NOT PAID) ticket during the interview at mzvisa. With this email, is he supposed to go get a PAID ticket or can he resubmit the confirmed ticket he submitted initially at mzvisa? He's unsure of when he will travel to Turkey with everything else going on with Nigeria so he is hesitant to go pay for a ticket. He did the application by himself without an agent and has some travel history although his current passport does not have any visa stamp from previously visited countries. Appreciate your insight. |
