This is another racecourse at a village called Market Rasen around Lincolnshire, travelled about 2hrs to get here and the yeye agency no pay for our time ![]() Based on my experience with the first racecourse, I respected myself and dropped my phone to till the end of my shift. Quite a contrast with the first racecourse because this was more family oriented. Families with kids, grandparents, dogs. They came with their food and drinks and I was like shuuoo, who come buy the drinks wey we dey sell na ![]()

Phayie:Fortunately, the agency my husband works with had manual training the following week, after I arrived. After that, I was directed to do the online training, which I did. They ran my DBS(check criminal record). Got first job a week or so later. All together 3-4 weeks I've also registered with other care agencies. I select the shifts and days that suits me, so that could be said to be part time |
Truly shows the Sky is big enough for everyone. Go your path and let others go theirs! |
gracefoundmme:Thank you so much for your comment. Lots of people just view pictures and go their way but it gladdens me when some take their time to comment, shows my little effort is appreciated Don't worry pls, You never know what tomorrow unfolds. It will happen sooner than expected. Keep on exploring opportunities |

Around..

I was in the Bendigo Suite and standing looking over the race course, I was able to see a glimpse of famous London Eye. Beautiful and lush scenery. I also observed that over head was the final approach path for incoming flights into Heathrow. Watching planes fly is one of my favourite pastime and imagine my joy when I saw this. Planes came in virtually every minute. As one is landing, another is prepping to land throughout the day and even saw couple of simultaneous landings. Twas a beauty to behold o |
Clean up immediately after the race. So if you come back to the place in an hour or two, you won't believe they just finished hosting an event of more than 12,000 people!

Few areas around

After the race, the crowd was entertained by a DJ in the outer park. Good music, good looking people, beautifully dressed, good weather, lots of drinks and laughs. What can go wrong? Nada!

Looking up to the lounge. The VIPs were treated to a 3 course meal in between races and endless supply of assorted drinks from the bar. One elderly Indian couple were in attendance and the wife kept on piling herself with drinks as if it was going out of fashion. On one of her trips to the bar, I politely told her to take some water for sometime which she accepted. When I was clearing the table, asked if she would like some orange juice, she accepted and I served her. This is because I observed that her husband depended on her for a lot of things so of what used will she be to him if drunk .. At the dessert table, she was struggling with two plates of dessert, I quickly rushed and help to her table. When this woman was about leaving, she beckoned on me and squeeze £20 to my palm for watching out for her I was like what na so e be? Una for tell me make I put on my 100% South South charm na. I was just being me.At the end of the day, I got about £30 which i showed the manager, she said ordinarily tips are distributed equally among the staff working in the particular area the tips came in from but she observed that among the agency staff, I stood out and I deserved to keep the money My people, na so choruses full my mouth as I dey waka dey go enter bus!

Grounds after the race.. Phones were specifically not allow by staff, most especially I worked in the VIP Lounge. This lounge catered to first class tipsters and was exclusively paid for them by Coral, the official sponsor of the race. They were ushered into the lounge by one of us standing at the door with champagne. All had their names reserved on the table Over 13,000 people were in attendance at the race.

This guy was the pointsman from the agency. He was in charge of checking us in from our departure to the venue and generally liaising with the agency. Sat in front of the bus and generally behaving like a don. Unfortunately, he was sent back because he didn't adhere to the client's simple instruction of coming to the job with a photo ID! Imagine after driving down here for over 2 hours only to be sent back

We had a gig at Sandown Racing course in Esher, Surrey an outer suburb of London Arriving at the venue
