lalasticlala: There are 52 female suicide bombers on the prowl in Maiduguri, a member of the youth vigilante group has revealed.
It could be recalled that two suicide bombers were unleashed on Maiduguri last week causing the death of over 35 people.
Two others were unleashed on the town this Monday causing six deaths and 36 injured people.
Speaking to our correspondent on Monday after the two attacks on the Maiduguri Monday Mmarket, the source said the youth vigilante group had made it difficult for the insurgents to visit massive mayhem on the town with the incessant search of vehicles and people of the town.
He said: "One of the female suicide bombers arrested revealed to them (youth vigilante) that presently in Maiduguri there are 52 female suicide bombers who have been commissioned to explode bombs at high density areas."

A lady dressed in the Muslim Burkah with a bomb under her robe was caught at Murtala Specialist Hospital Kano, where the victims of Friday’s terrorist attack were being treated. The woman was pretending to pay a visit to a sick patient. She was dressed in Hijab Niqaf with socks. Under her hijab she had a bomb strapped. According to Newsrescue reporter the bomb was directly disabled by security people at the site and the lady was set on fire. The woman was said to have been accompanied by two armed men who were waiting for the bomb to be exploded, to again start shooting on the escaping victims. This comes two days after terrorist attacks on the Kano central Mosque where over 200 worshippers were killed. Murtala specialist hospital is one of the hospitals receiving victims of the deadly Mosque attack. The Kano Central Mosque had been closed down for the first time in its 400 year old history. http://www.naij.com/334277-woman-in-hijab-caught-with-bomb-at-murtala-kano-hospital.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=mandrill |

Politics › Kano Attack: UN Pledges Support To Nigeria’s Fight Against Terrorism by Abiolainfo(op): 12:54pm On Dec 01, 2014 |
The UN has pledged its “full support” to Nigeria to end terrorism following the attack on Kano Central Mosque on Friday, which left many worshippers dead and several others injured. This is contained in a statement issued by the UN Secretary- General Ban ki-moon and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja. While condemning the act, Ban said that there was no justification whatsoever for the attacks on civilians. Ki-Moon “reaffirms the full support of the UN to Nigeria’s efforts to fight terrorism and to provide security to the population consistent with international law and Nigeria’s human rights obligations.”. He conveyed his “deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and to the people and Government of Nigeria” and wished swift recovery to the injured. The Secretary-General called on the relevant authorities to swiftly bring the perpetrators to justice. Please, don't derail the thread with your so-called way forward.
What we are discussing is the political and factual correctness of Buhari's statements which I analysed in my first comment. Noted. Even though ''way forward'' comments is better than Nairaland comments.... Because a forum is a platform of learning and reacting to issues on board. |

This Boko Haram sect have more sophisticated weapons compared to our Soldiers, if it is easy like you've proclaimed ,why can't US army face ISILs directly We should be talking about way forward and not condemning one another I believe Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria. Ngwakwe: I thought US and AI said our soldiers human right records were the reason for the arms embargo
If unprofessional Abubakar Shekau is proud of his AK47 Why not our Soldiers or Is it because they can't service their guns?
How many helicopters have they crashed without being attacked?
You mean surrendering their tanks to Bokoharam is not a problem?
Let the truth be told, after Babangida disarmed our Military in 1987 leading to retirement of professional and battle ready forces, all we then got afterwards are white collar soldiers who are best for peace keeping and not trained for nor committed to fight guerrilla warfare.
Let assume the President is having difficulty in manoeuvring Diplomatic sanctions (arms embargo) imposed on it for flimsy human right records of our military. Is it Buhari who failed woefully in diplomacy by trying to kidnap a Nigerian from Europe that knows what to do?
Buhari has zero experience in democratic governance and is not fit to participate having jailed indefinitely whoever discusses such during his despotic regime Soldiers have been complaining that they are ill equipped, in spite of the trillions spent on defence budget in the last three years... This Boko Haram sect have more sophisticated weapons compared to our Soldiers, if it is easy like you've proclaimed ,why can't US army face ISILs directly We should be talking about way forward and not condemning one another I believe Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria.
