Fee in MIHS is exactly as stated on their website. I spoke to them twice when I was planning on havingmy baby there. You pay around 300 dollar more if you want your son circumsize. Antenatal, delivery and postnatl is all included. A friend I met on nairaland (vivian) had her baby there and she didn't pay a penny extra. But as we all know childbirth can be complicated so I won't go somewhere that I don't know anyone there, just in case. Goodlick

@ hardeymiju, I didn't ennd up going to America, my host pulled out on me at the lst minute! Found another doctor to take me in chicago bt couldn't get a host, and I didn't want to go for the hotel option. Guess my child didn't want to be born in the US(lol). In a way, am glad I didn't go to the US cos at 38wkd or so they discover the water around the baby is very low and I had to be monitored day in day out. My labour was soso bad, I wonder if anyone would have tolerated me apart from my family! @ bukieno. How do u normally offer ur baby water, maybe u should try a sippy cup or make baby drink from your own cup. If baby refuse water completely, then I suggest offering breast milk or formula as a drink but keep offering water even if its just a tiny bit. Pls avoid offering any sugary drink at this stage. Ribena, Caprisone all has tonnes of sugar in it

@ Issfat, Abidec has all the necessary vitamin a baby needs! You don't need to give cod liver oil unless there is a medical need for it. Baby can get calcium in Youghurt , milk etc, if that the reason you want to give cod liver oil

@ isfat, you feed baby when they are hungry! Every child is different, some eat morethan the other, just follow baby lead, and make sure you don't overfeed baby. Sometimes when baby cry, its not becos they are hungry, they might just want some attention( I.e want to play)

As per multivitamin, abidec is good for babies.

@ pretty4ril, pls try and cut down on the milo, its got too much suga. Warm milk shlddo same job but without the sugar. Also u can alternaate with nesquik ( as an occasional treat, cos its very sugary) it has differentflavor,chocolate,strawerry etc

@ bukkie, yes u can give 9months old youghurt. Pls note Adult Youghurt is different from kids( cos of the sugar)fromage Frais is better for kids, but if you can't get it, you can use unsweetened adult youghurt, give it like that or sweeten with fruit puree

@ kreamidiva 5months baby can eat mostly pureed fruit,pureed potatoe,pureed vegetable (potatoe,carrot,spinach). Sty away. From Gluten (wheat bsed product,egg) till bby is 6months.

@ 9 months, your baby can eat anything you eat. Vegetables,grain,cereal,plantain, fruits etc. Make sure ur grains are boiled very soft (rice,potatoe,yam) you cn marsh it up. Youghurt is good as well,bred, scrambled/boiled egg. Watch the salt and sugar in baby's food. Also avvoid honey till baby is 1yr

Pls don't give milo o.it has too much Sugar, and babies need breastmilk or formular till age 1. U can add. Formula to baby's cereal orchange brand of formula

This people are theives, pls beware of them. I bought 2 plots of land in a so called goodwill estate in igbogbo in 2008. Till now I have not been able to do anything on the land. Its always one story or d other. Its Bisola,the lady that has been calling you in regards to her 2 plot of land in your estate. I am totally fed up of chasing up and I have ran out of patient.

This land was bought in May 2008, but its been one wahala after the other. First I paid for the survey, and was given a fake one, despite the fact that I mentioned it to you and you have promised heaven and heart that you will give me another one, till date nothing.

Whenever I called its been one excuse or the other. First it was the surveyor that duped you and you are trying to get him arrested, later, you said the site is messed up due to the rain, third, the owners of the land are fighting. In as much that its not in my character to be rude, I am totally fed up of all this silly excuses. I just want my money back.

The fact that your own land or ur sister's land is in the estate does not help me at all. I can't continue to put my life on hold because of all this flimsy excuses. Lands are suppose to be an investment and something one can sell on whenever someone wishes. But the reverse is the case.

Just an update------ today when I called this onabanjo man, the new excuse that the man gave is that the bridge leading to the land is collapsed. This man is nothing but a theif, give me my money all you will face the wrath of God.

Have u tried west surbaban hospital in illinios, chicago. I got a quote for around 4k, for naturanl birth, which includes 2 day in hospital, but I have done some research on the hospital, and the reviews aren't great. Still looking sha as I intend to give birth in the USA later in the year. Let me know if u find anything. I am actually considering a birthing center as its cheaper if u have a low risk pregnancy

Hi Everyone, i am interested in having my baby in the US. I currently live in the UK, and i have quote from few hospital ranging betwen 6k-7k dollars. I had another quote which is a little bit ceaper but its in chicago. Could anyone please advise if there is a cheaper hospital to stay, cost of renting an apartment . I have a plot of land for sale in Pakuro, its a stop from deeper life. Its in a teachers estate and work is in progess. The survey has not been done yet as they intend doing a mass survey. I have the receipt and looking to sell soon. Sale Price is 600k.
