A clear example involves an acquaintance from the Southeast who wanted to build a house in Lagos. Fast forward this year, the government demolished houses to make way for construction of road. On his lane in the street, every building was partially or fully demolished except for 4 and his was one of them. Notably, all the other landlords whose buildings were affected are mostly Yoruba. Ironically, a significant portion of the union official's own house was also demolished.
