COVID-19: Customs Issue 2-weeks Deadline for Officers to get Vaccinated

The Nigeria Customs Service has issued a two weeks deadline for all officers to get the Covid-19 vaccination in line with Federal Government’s directive to all government workers.

The service has equally threatened to bar any officer that refuses to get vaccinated within the 2-weeks grace period from official duties and entering commands from 30th of December 2021.


This new deadline was contained in a circular NCS/FATS/ABJ/549/VOL.VI dated 15th December and signed by Deputy Comptroller General in charge of Finance, Administration and Technical Services (FATS) DCG E.D Chikan.


The circular reads “In order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all officers and men of NCS and other members of the public, every officer must get the COVID 19 vaccination within the next two weeks or be barred from all official duties.

“For the avoidance of doubt, no Customs personnel without a vaccination card will be allowed to enter any NCS office from 30th Dec 21”

“All Heads of Departments, Zones, Area Commands and Units are to ensure strict implementation of this guideline”

Yes the shortlisted candidates will be those that meet the requirements. That is the first stage, the second stage might be either aptitude test if there will be any or straight to face the board where presented credentials will be scrutinized.
Moreover the present CG is a no nonsense man, those resident in Kaduna know what's up. I won't be surprised if Col Hamid Ali aka Benjamin Netanyahu will not even lobby for his own son if he is an applicant, the man integrity no be here.
