Whenever you post issues. Do this please. Give the exact model number. The 'dxdiag' info. And the system information. On the dxdiag page. Attach the first page which is the summary and the display page. It makes it easier to diagnose laptop problems from this information.

I wouldn't know if these are what you requested for. But I guess I got it.

Hi guys...

There's this problem I have been facing with my Lenovo.

I use AutoCD and Revt on it but I discover whenever I'm using either of these, the laptop works smoothly for about 30mns and then, the keyboard stops working but external mouse still works and the cursor still moves.
5mns later, everything stops working and system won't respond again unless I use the hard reset method to switch it off and switch on again.

Sometimes , it comes up with the display I attached to the post.

I took it to an engineer believing it to be an operating system error. We have changed the OS twice ... Still the same. It wasn't like this before when I just got the laptop few months ago.

I'm utterly confused now.

I'm just tired of waiting. We are not trying to bring violence but at least the school should have come out to give a detail explanation of what's delaying the list.

The Aspirants need to know their fate and since we all know that not all those who applied shall be given to, let the unfortunates know their fate in earliest so they can quickly know the next step to take.

We need you to help us on this mods.

Letter from a Concern Admission
Seeker:-

It’s quite exasperating to say the
least at the rate in which admission
seekers are being disregarded in our
Educational system, Much to my
dismay.

Despite the fact that the supposed
students go through several rigorous
examination like Jamb and the Post-
UTME in an attempt to secure
admission in their various
University of choice, thereby,
travelling from town to town in an
attempt to meet the deadline of the
exams, we still get treated as trash,
simply because we want to be
educated, much to my chagrin.

I am an aspirant of Unilorin and I
reside in Lagos State.
However, I’m we'll
in a great dismay and anxiety as I
type this because I and my fellow
aspirant are anxious as hell and we
are tired of sitting at home doing
nothing when we were supposed to
be in school getting ready for the
academic session.

We implore Unilorin to please
release our admission list and let us
be aware of our fate. The
examination was conducted on the
16th of August and it’s past a month
now and we haven’t heard anything
from neither the school admin nor
the admission officer, whereas,
institutions like Unilag, Lasu,
Uniben, OAU, and even Unibadan
that wrote theirs less than two weeks
ago had released their Admission List
and students are getting ready for
academic session; “why is ours
different?”

I and my fellow aspirant have all
decided that if the list fails to surface
on Friday 2nd of October, we will
resume the school alongside the
staylites on the 5th of October.

Therefore, the school should be
aware that we have nothing against
them, this is just the voice all
Unilorin aspirant making the school
aware of our opinion.

Had it been an explanation or a
precise date that the admission list
would be released was given, this
tete-a-tete wouldn’t have been
necessitated vis-a-vis the admission
saga.

I plead with Professor Ambali to
please release our list, So we can
know our fate because for sure not
everyone will get admitted…so the
Unfortunate ones can easily think of
what to do next.

Please Professor Ambali, This is only
a plea to you sir, We beg of you sir.
We Implore Unilorin to hear the Cry
of Admission Seeker.

Politics / Re: Nigerian Military Uncooperative, Slow To Learn –US by AbubakarShekau(m): 9:53am On Jul 14, 2014
koastar: Nigerian military uncooperative, slow to learn –
US
The human rights abuse record and
uncooperative attitude of the Federal Government
and its military authorities have been identified
as factors hindering United States of America
offering Nigeria effective security assistance.
Speaking on Thursday before the US House
Foreign Affairs Sub-committee on Africa’s
hearing entitled, ‘Human Rights Vetting: Nigeria
and Beyond’, the Specialist at African Affairs
Congressional Research Service, Lauren
Blanchard, said the Nigerian government and its
military had not been yielding to America’s
suggestions.
The Congress heard that the main impediment to
America’s efforts to support Nigeria’s broader
response to Boko Haram is “gross violations
committed by the Nigerian forces, the Nigerian
government’s resistance to adopting a more
comprehensive approach to Boko Haram, and the
continued lack of political will” within the
government to investigate allegations of human
rights abuses and hold perpetrators accountable.
Blanchard told the Congress, “The Nigerian
government also has appeared reticent in some
cases to allow its security forces to participate in
US training programmes. The State Department
indicates that there are currently 187 Nigerian
military units and 173 police units that have
been vetted and cleared to receive U.S.
assistance and training.
“It is unclear whether the Nigerian government
has given approval for such training to occur. A
2013 State Department audit report noted that,
in addition to human rights concerns, Nigeria’s
late submission of names of candidates for
assistance was a ‘recurring problem’ for the US
embassy.
“Multiple systemic factors further constrain the
effectiveness of the Nigerian security force’s
response to Boko Haram, notably security sector
corruption and mismanagement, and some of
these factors impede US support even for units
that have been cleared for assistance”.
Among the cleared units, she revealed, were
Nigeria’s Speed Boat Service commando and the
101st Infantry Battalion, which the ACRS
specialist said were best positioned to conduct
hostage rescue operations, but “both reportedly
require significant additional training”.
She added that the security relationship between
Nigeria and the US was hampered by the lack of
cooperation and systemic failure in Nigeria.
“The security relationship also has been
hampered at times by a lack of cooperation from
Nigerian officials and by systemic problems in
the Nigerian military. Political and human rights
concerns have been a prominent factor in
shaping US-Nigeria relations for decades.
“State Department human rights reports have
continued to highlight serious human rights
violations by the Nigerian security forces every
year. These violations include politically
motivated and extrajudicial killings, excessive
use of force, and torture,” Blanchard said at the
hearing.
Despite about N1trn ($5.8b) security budget, the
ACRS specialist said the “Nigerian troops are not
adequately resourced or equipped” to counter
Boko Haram insurgency. During the hearing, the
American disclosed that the troops were “slow to
adapt with new strategies, new doctrines and
new tactics,” and described Nigeria as “an
extremely challenging partner to work with.”
