Politics / Re: Ministerial List: FCT Natives Ask Court To Stop Inauguration, Remove Buhari by Abuhafs01(m): 5:19am On Aug 16, 2019
zakim:
Indigenes of the Federal Capital Territory have asked a Federal High Court in Abuja to stop the inauguration of the 43 ministerial nominees of President Muhammadu Buhari. Following the nomination of the ministers and their screening and confirmation by the Senate in July, the president set August 21 for their inauguration.

But in a motion brought on behalf of the FCT natives by Musa Baba Panya Esq on Thursday, the lawyer is asking the court to restrain the president from conducting the inauguration over the exemption of FCT Indigenes from the list. Panya contends that the President is in contempt of a Court of Appeal judgement delivered on January 15, 2018 compelling him to immediately appoint an indigene of the FCT as Minister of the Federation. He contended that having “brazenly scorned the Oath of Allegiance and Oath of office twice subscribed by him as mandatorily required by the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the consequence of which he is no longer a fit and proper person to continue holding office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and for same reason as liable to vacate the said office.”

He also demands the sum of N500m as exemplary damages and N10m as legal costs against President Buhari and the Attorney General of the Federation. Meanwhile, Justice Taiwo Taiwo has fixed the motion to Monday, August 20 for judgement.

Shell does not navigate our lives. If we have waited for so long like a scholarship application, then the best thing we can do for ourselves is to channel our energy into something else. If Shell works out, then fine and if not, we must have made advancement.

They sent ODVI to a handful

They sent regret emails to some

Some got stuck with the assessment

The majority who do not belong to the above are left in the dark with plenty of assumptions and speculations

The fact is that we will not all get into Shell but we must take the lesson to heart for a better tomorrow. Those lambasting others for been deceitful about ODVI, that is a waste and it is uncalled for. You do not know those that are behind this monickers. What if they are Shell reps grin grin grin You are gone. In essence, let us be modest in our speech. For those who derived pleasures in deceit, it does not pay. Karma is ever ready.

I wish you all success. Shell or no Shell, make sure you succeed

This really got. My attention. One thing is certain, not all. Will be absolved. But what do people gain in deceiving others. As of yet, I haven't received either love letter or congratulatory mail. Instead of endless waiting, why not just engage in something that will fetch money that will make u independent. Who knows that small thing may turn out to be your source of income in the future.
