When Niger /Delta issue was at it peak in 2007 , peace was achieved not by force but by talking and meeting their demands in middle way .
When Niger / Delta Avenger was blowing oil pipes Osibanjo talked to them and their leaders and the issue stopped .
There is no where in the world where you use force to achieve peace , what this government could have done is to call this people talk to them , they are human being they will reason, tell the government what they want and the government also tell them where he stands and at the end meet at the middle . This will stop shedding of blood, properties will be safe .

Having said that, my post was based on what a lot of Igbos have written on various threads, including this one, on Pg 1.
If you care to read, you will see it there.

I am in support of the Presidency being zoned to the South, by all Political Parties.
I am also in support of the SS, SE and SW, coming to an arrangement, documented in Writing and made into an enforceable Contract (to avoid the greed and pretense of Buhari in 2019 when he said "where was it written that Presidency will be shared, between North and South of APC", when the SW supported him in 2015.) .
In such way, the Regions can have a go at it, in an orderly fashion, ensuring that they put forward their "Best Brains" to manage their Slot, such that hss tenure will become the envy of other regions.

Why are Igbos always thinking it is okay and acceptable for them to always play Second Fiddle to the North, for them to ACHIEVE NOTHING (as we have seen from History!), rather than play second fiddle to the SW with a very certain agreement that the SW will back them to achieve the so much desired Presidency?

I think being a very brilliant people, they should be able to do a SWOT Analysis of which route can lead them to the Presidency,

They have tried the North since 1970, with even Ojukwu `sucking up to the North, with No Result.
It is no secret that the North will NEVER support an Igbo to be President of Nigeria
Why not try the SW, who have no opposition to an Igbo Presidency, post 2023?

Or it it a matter of Short-sightedness (A VP today is better than a Presidency in 8yrs time?)
Or a matter of Hatred for the Yorubas and preferably cutting of their Nose, just to spite Yorubas?

Igbos are a strange People indeed.
