Life is too short for you not to pursue your dreams. Someday, your life will near its end and all you will be able to do is look backward. Those who dream, who set goals and act on them to live out their dreams are those who live lives of joy and have a sense of peace when near the end of their lives. They have finished well for themselves and their families. If you do this, you too can live the life of your dreams. Learn more @ http://www.livethelifeofyourdream.com

LiteratureNever Say Can't (part 1) by acaforreal(op): 10:04am On Sep 01, 2012
Can't is the worst word that is written or spoken, doing more harm than slander and lies. On it is many a strong spirit broken and with it many a good purpose dies. It springs from the lips of the thoughtless each morning and robs us of the couage we need through the day. It rings in our ears like a timely-sent warning and laughs when we falter and fall by the way.

Can't is the father of feeble endeavour, the parent of terror and half-hearted work. It weakens the efforts of artisans and makes of the toiler an indolent shrink. It poisons the soul of the man with a vision, it greets honest toiling with open derision and mocks at the hopes and dreams of a man. Learn more @ http:www.livethelifeofyourdream.com
SportsCan Adebayor Make Impact In Tottenham This Term? by acaforreal(op): 9:16am On Aug 25, 2012
Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed he expects another “intense” season after permanently moving to the club.

The 28-year-old sealed a £5 million move from Manchester City this week and hopes to build on his tally of 18 goals he achieved whilst on loan at White Hart Lane last season.

Adebayor was a crucial part of Harry Redknapp’s side that narrowly missed out on a place in the Champions League after Chelsea claimed the European crown in May.

"Last year was quite intense," Adebayor told Spurs’ official website. "And this season every game will be difficult as you saw at Newcastle on Saturday. They have a good team.

"Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle will all be fighting for the top four spots.

"It’s not going to be easy but as a footballer you just have to keep doing your thing and see what happens at the end of the season."

Financial matters delayed Adebayor's permanent switch to north London from Manchester City and the Togolese forward was delighted to finally seal his return.

"I am pleased to be signing for Spurs on a permanent basis after finally agreeing my departure with Manchester City," he added.

"It may have taken longer than expected but I am delighted to be back at Tottenham Hotspur. I really enjoyed my time here last season and I am hoping we can achieve great things together again."

Literature/Writing AdsWill-power – Another Element In The Achievement Of Your Dreams by acaforreal(op): 2:40pm On Aug 13, 2012
Another principle related to your belief system is will-power. We know that will-power is essential to any success. Will-power is based on confidence, it is based on conviction, it is based on faith. It is based on your belief in your ability to triumph over all difficulties. Will-power can be developed by being persistent, by working on your dreams, by reading biographies of successful people, by reading books about people who have achieved success.

The more information consistent with success you take into your mind, the more likely it is that you will develop the will-power to push you through the obstacles and difficulties you experience. Remember that success is rare. Statisticians revealed only one person out of hundred becomes wealthy in the course of a lifetime. The only way that you are going to achieve your goals is if you get serious. To succeed, you must get serious, you must get busy, you must get active and you must get going. Remember everything counts. Learn more @ http://www.livethelifeofyourdream.com
LiteratureYou Can Take Life Head On With The Power Of Your Faith by acaforreal(op): 2:12pm On Jun 29, 2012
In life, you need to have faith to be able to take life head on. Rather than raise the flag of defeat, lash out in anger or take the path of least resistance, you can rise up to the challenge and meet it head on with your faith in God.

Marcus Garvey once said, “Some of us seem to accept the fatalist position. The fatalist attitude that the Creator accorded to us a certain position and condition and therefore there is no need trying to do otherwise.” His words preface an essay by writers Dennis Kimbro and Napoleon Hill who wrote about black men responding to challenge in the book Brotherman: The Odyssey of Black Men in America, An Anthology.

Here is a statement from the book: “in everyone’s life, there comes a time of ultimate challenge, a time when all our resources are tested. A time life seems unfair. A time when our faith, our values, our patience, our compassion and our ability to persist are pushed to the limit and beyond. While some have used such test as an opportunity for growth, others have turned away and allowed these experiences to destroy their hopes.”

Literature/Writing AdsYou Must Dance Until It Rains! by acaforreal(op): 10:48am On Jun 23, 2012
Friends, you may have suffered setbacks and disaster in life which might make the accomplishment of your dreams seem almost impossible. They may have been in the areas of business, education or marriage. You can refuse to surrender your dreams to situations and circumstances. Don’t let life bury you before you are dead. Like Glenn Cunningham and Nwankwo Kanu, you can rise again. Live on the offensive. Be bold and courageous. Take the initiative. Do not wait for success to come – because it won’t. Go for it.

Recently, I read a story about the tribe in Africa that confounded all anthropologists. This tribe had for long time enjoyed 100% success with its rain dance. In comparing this tribe to other tribes who did rain dance but who did not always experience success, the experts could not find anything that differentiated this one tribe. They performed the same rituals, praying the same incantation to the same gods in the same customs.
Like all the tribes, they sometimes danced for days, even weeks on end. At the end, an astute observer noticed something remarkable. The successful tribe did one thing different from the other tribes: it always danced until it rained!

Is your head hanging low today? I urge you to find the encouragement to know that you really need to do one thing at this point – PERSIST. You may need to review your plan, change your plan or maybe even create a new plan. But the one way you can ensure that you will meet with success is to dance until it rains like the African tribe. Once you do this, on are on the verge to live your dreams.Learn more @ http://www.livethelifeofyourdream.com
LiteratureThe Rough Journey To The Peak Of My Career – Hope You Can Draw Some Inspiration by acaforreal(op): 4:03pm On Jun 19, 2012
To qualify as a Chartered Accountant was not as easy task. In fact, it was the greatest challenge I ever had in my entire life – having the courage to face what some people call the “almighty” ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) examinations. The “almighty” tells of how challenging and difficult it is to pass the examinations which a number of would-be Chartered Accountants have abandoned and many have vowed never to write again because of the failures and setbacks they have suffered. These are the quitters and losers.

Having passed each of the first five stages of the examinations at a sitting, one would have thought passing the final examination would be an easy ride. But alas, I failed. It was a big blow indeed. And as if that was not enough, this was followed by successive failures. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven attempts at the final examination: total failure. But I had learnt long time ago that success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. As long as you are still enthusiastic about your goals, dreams and aspirations, failures notwithstanding, you are still on course; failures are part of the process.

I became resolute, never to give up, determined not to throw in the towel, never to raise the white flag of defeat. I went for it the eighth time. Then came that beautiful seven letter word: s-u-c-c-e-s-s. Today when my friends see me, even those that quit, what they say is “he is a Chartered Accountant”. Not “oh, he failed seven times.”
Today, that boy who repeated primary four, who wrote O-Level four times, who wrote the university entrance examination four times and who wrote ICAN final eight consecutive times, is finally a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Tax Practitioner, a Certified Stock Market Agent, a Financial Expert and an Investment Analyst. All thanks to the power to keep on. Today I live my dreams and you too can Live Your Dreams.

SportsDrawing Inspiration From Nwankwo Kano (a.k.a Papilo) by acaforreal(op): 2:07pm On Jun 18, 2012
He is another world-class sportsman of our time. Right from his youth, he has been a great footballer that everybody, male and female, young and old admires so much. He is the second most decorated African footballer ever after Samuel Etoo’ Fils of Cameroon with over 10 awards in his kitty. From winning the under 17 FIFA World Cup in 1993 to winning the UEFA Champions league and the Dutch league titles with Ajax Amsterdam of Holland, to winning the football gold at Atlanta ’96 Olympics captaining the Nigerian Dream Team as the first African side to do so and famously scoring two late goals in the semi final against powerhouse Brazil. And the big one is becoming the African Footballer of the year for two consecutive times.

But at the peak of his career, came the big blow. Not long after joining Italian giant, Internazionale FC from Ajax following the Atlanta ’96 feat, he was diagnosed with a serious heart defeat which doctors in Milan claimed would not allow him to play football again and was advised to give up football.

But Kanu saw the situation differently. He was determined not only to survive but to play football again. Hear him “it was a big shock when the doctor said that I would not play again. But I was determined never to give up. I only need to work hard to achieve my dream. Through this, I learnt that you can overcome life challenges; you just need to think deep and believe in one thing: yourself – it’s in you”.

He became determined and resolute to fight the battle of his life. After almost a two year battle, came victory. To the amazement of doctors in Milan, Papilo played again. Not only did he play again, he won further laurels with Arsenal FC of England winning the double in 2002, an FA Cup in 2003 and the league in 2004. The latest is the FA Cup with Portsmouth FC in 2008. Today, Nwankwo Kanu is still a powerful force and icon in world football.

Even the situation that almost shattered his dream has been turned to a stepping-stone. Through the Kanu Heart Foundation that he set up from the experience, over 300 children all over Africa have been rescued from the jaw of death. They have been treated for various heart-related diseases that could have claimed their live. Learn more @ http://www.livethelifeofyourdream.com
LiteratureKeep On Keeping On – Learning From Glenn Cunningham by acaforreal(op): 5:40pm On Jun 13, 2012
Glenn Cunningham was born in Atlanta, Kansa, on August 4, 1909. In February of 1916, Cunningham and his brother Floyld were badly burned in an accidental fire in their schoolhouse and Floyld died from the burns. The doctors who treated Glenn said he would never be able to walk again, let alone run. But Cunningham was the situation differently.

He said, “I will not only walk again, I will run.” While everyone is away from the home during the day, he would make his way to the fence and right there on the fence, he learnt to walk again. Glenn went beyond walking, he began to run. By the time he was 12 years, he had beaten all local high school runners, though his legs remained deeply scarred. In 1933, Cunningham graduated from the university with the highest academic records in his class.

That same year, he won the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) 800 meters with a time of 3 minutes 52.3 seconds. In addition, he won the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) mile for the second time with a time of 4 minutes 9.8 seconds and he later went on to win many laurels both in Europe and America. In 1943, Glenn Cunningham set a new world record. He ran the mile in 4 minutes 6.8 seconds. Learn more @ http://www.livethelifeofyourdream.com
LiteratureMy Final Thoughs On How To Overcome Fear by acaforreal(op): 5:31pm On Jun 11, 2012
Fear keeps us from going for the heights we certainly would have gotten had we gone for it. It keeps us from asking for the big share that the other person got because he asked. It keeps us from making lifetime changes in our lives because they ‘rock the boat’. Fear makes us to make irrational decisions that sell out our future and destiny just for the sake of today.
In my final analysis, the following practical steps can be followed to overcome fear:
See yourself meeting your goals.
Avoid negative comments by others.
Surround yourself with positive people.
Take the antidote i.e. the development of courage and high self-esteem.

LiteratureStep Out Of Your Comfort Zone And Deal With The Challenge by acaforreal(op): 1:09pm On Jun 08, 2012
One of the greatest diseases of the human race is doubt and fear. That is not to disregard other diseases but doubt and fear rob more people of more life than all the diseases of the world put together. Great minds often spend the greater part of their lives failing but their ability to take something out of the failure has ultimately created the world we live in.

Everything we would ever need to be prosperous, successful and powerful is within us. Failure could be a wonderful catalyst for change because it has the potential to make us a wiser, better and smarter people. All we need do is to step out of our comfort zone and deal with the challenge. Learn more @ http://www.livethelifeofyourdream.com
LiteratureHaving A Different Perception Of Failure by acaforreal(op): 5:10pm On Jun 07, 2012
Fear sometimes makes us not to do what we ought to do because we fear failure and the rejection that follows after it. We may entertain fear of failure when starting a new career, when starting a new business and the rejection from family, friends and associates should we fail. You only need to take a look at successful people around you and you will discover that they have a different perception of failure. Siimon Reynold once said that successful people fail more than failure. The thing that distinguishes them is that they keep learning and working towards their goal until they succeed.
Moreso, they have learnt that to become successful at anything at all, you have to fail perhaps two or three times and that is in agreement with the saying that anything worth trying at all is worth trying at least ten times. . Learn more from http://www.livethelifeofyourdream.com
LiteratureNo Power Outside You Greater Than The Power Within You by acaforreal(op): 12:29pm On Jun 06, 2012
The cause of the confusion prevailing in your mind that weakens your thought is the wrong belief that there is a power outside you greater than the power within you. What are those things that keep us from reaching for greater heights? What would make us take a great idea that could make us financially secure and bury it underneath a lot of reasons why it couldn’t be done? What stops us from the career change that could make us work in a profession we could really enjoy and could get passionate about? There is only one thing, I mean only one thing that stands in our way to greatness and it is the false belief that there is a power outside you greater than the power within you. LiteratureYou Can Cancel Out Fear With Faith by acaforreal(op): 1:48pm On Jun 05, 2012
Fear is the reaction of the emotions to uncertainty of things unknown or anticipated, insecurity or guilt. For many people, the world is changing rapidly and their lives are being altered as a result. The everyday things of life present opportunities to fear. It ranges from home to career to relationship. Questions like these are the many features: will I have enough money to cater for my family? Will I lose my job? Will my loved one ones die? Will my spouse divorce me? While all of these questions are truly a possibility, that should not be reason to anticipate loss or failure.

Norman Vincent Peale, writing in You Can If You Think You Can, provides us with a prescription of mastering fear and doubt. You can cancel out fear with faith. There is no force in this world more powerful than faith. The amazing things can happen as a result of it. There are two massive thought forces competing for control of the mind: fear and faith. And faith is stronger. Hold that thought of faith’s greater power until you believe it, for it can be the difference between success and failure. Learn more from http://www.livethelifeofyourdream.com
LiteratureYou Can “unlearn” Them by acaforreal(op): 3:09pm On Jun 04, 2012
Doubt is the forerunner of fear. We were neither born with fear nor with doubt. But when we allow doubt to grow and reign in our mortal body, it then grows into fear. In his epistle, James reminds us that doubt makes us ineffective. “A doubtful mind will be as unsettled as the wave of the sea that is tossed and driven by the wind; and every decision you then make will be uncertain as you turn first this way and then that” (James 1.6)
The truth is that if most of our fears and doubts are learned as we grow, then its stands to reason that we can “unlearn” them by becoming masters of our mind. It is not that the people who live their dreams do not have fears just as those who live miserable and unfulfilled lives, no far from it: it is just that they have master them. That is the big difference. Learn more from http://www.livethelifeofyourdream.com

LiteratureFalse Evidence Appearing Real by acaforreal(op): 6:33pm On Jun 01, 2012
Fear is nothing more that False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear keeps us in the background. It tends to convince us we can never achieve our dreams, goals and aspirations. It tells us to keep quiet and separates us from the thing we love. Fear has an unparalleled ability to squeeze us in our tracks and limit what we are willing to try. As a matter of fat, fear makes us live a small life.
Fear can be defeated because fear is a learned reaction. My coach once told me that we are only born with two fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud voices. Every other fear we have is learned like the fear of rejection, the fear of failure, even the fear of success. Does that sound incredible? Yes, it is. In order to defeat fear, all you have to do is to learn to manage it. I have read Zig Ziglar on numerous occasions saying “courage is not the absence of fear but the master of it”. LiteratureIt Kills More Dreams And Ruin More Careers by acaforreal(op): 7:49am On May 29, 2012
Of all the negative emotions we can experience, fear may be the most paralyzing. It can make you to hesitate when action is imperative, or it can make you react too quickly in a situation that needs careful consideration. Fear of the unknown may keep you from something truly wonderful. On the other hands, fear of letting something “too good to be true” slip away can be disastrous.
It causes some people a constant gnawing pain in the pit of the stomach. Others drink more or smoke more because of it. It kills more dreams and ruins more careers than all other causes combined. FEAR may be the enemy of the human race and it has been with us since the beginning.
How then can we overcome fear? Learn more from http://www.livethelifeofyourdream.com
LiteratureChampions Are Not Made On The Day Of The Game by acaforreal(op): 2:56pm On May 26, 2012
For all of my life, I have had the will to succeed like most people. I have always wanted to stand in the winner’s circle – to win the championship, to wear the gold medal. But for a good part of my life, I never fully understood that champions are not made on the day of the game. That is simply the day the world recognizes all the preparation that has taken place before that day arrives. It has taken me many years to learn that none of the ‘big’ things I have done has helped me to succeed. Indeed, it’s all the little things that I did over and over. For example, the discipline to plan each day’s work the night before, no matter how tire I was has had more to do with my success than any ‘big’ thing I have done. Not a ‘big’ thing but a necessary thing in getting prepared to win. Learn more @ http://www.livethelifeofyourdream.com

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Embracing Jose Mourinho Winning Mentality by acaforreal(op): 9:54am On May 25, 2012
Whether or not you like Jose Mourinho, former manager of FC Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and now Real Madrid of Spain who nicknamed himself the “Special One”, you have to respect his ability to produce champions. One of his winning principles is one I have come to embrace. Hear him “the will to succeed is important but what is more important is the will to prepare”. The will to re-write Chelsea FC history led to the extraordinary. And for the first time in 50 years, the club won the premier league back-to-back. By the time he was leaving the club, though unceremoniously, he had won two Premier League titles, two FA cups and a Community Shield – all in just three years. Oral Roberts once said “miracle are flowing towards us everyday, unfortunately, we do not recognize them”. We only see what we are prepared to see. Where some see problems, others see opportunities; where some see obstacles, others see miracles and where some see stumbling blocks, the brave ones see stepping-stones to breakthrough. Preparation is the key to recognition and recognition will lead you to the place of promotion.
