i did the fastboot update on an unlocked bootloader, i don't know if it can be done on a locked one. But since moving to developer rom on mido, d ba3 backup has been great.

I told ya all. Miui 9 is brutal in terms of battery. That's why I made reference to the optimised custom rom found on xda. Just search for MIUI 9.1 7.11.9 mido

miui 8 may have better battery back up miui 9 but its not bad. I'm on developer rom miui 9. 7.12.21 and ba3 is just awesome. Bt the way his phone is mi max 2 not mido, mido na sd redmi note 4

i mean how's battery life before u did the update? I had ba3 drain issue but a factory reset resolved mine.

redmi note 4, you can get the gold or grey color around that price. Keep in mind its ali express so u have to wait for like 3 weeks or more. I use the fone too and its awesome.

i was talking about the site and the inconsistencies surrounding the phone. The phone is great but on a normal day its more expensive than redmi note 4.

I too have been using Nova all my life. It's without a doubt, the best launcher there ever is. So many customizations for you to play with and some nice gestures too. I even backed up my settings from like 2014 and I always restore the backup whenever I get a new phone. But I have a question: are you currently using the Nova Launcher on a Xiaomi phone? If yes, which icon pack are you using with it? I recently installed Nova but I was pissed off coz I couldn't make it work with the icon packs from the themes I downloaded from the Xiaomi theme store. Any idea on a way to go about it?

i use nova on ma xiaomi but i use nova icon packs. I don't use the Xiaomi themes i don't think that is supported but it supports custom icon pack which u can download from play store.

But speaking of FREE launchers with premium features, I am yet to see one better than Microsoft launcher.

boss, Microsoft launcher does not come close to nova, it copied some features from nova self like gestures n co, i used Microsoft launcher even as at the time it was called arrow launcher. It has some nice features though like integration with Microsoft apps and the ability to continue ur work on pc. Nova even allows you to use features of android updates not on ur fone, example of this is adaptive icons and app shortcuts for devices not running android 7. But everybody get preference sha .

Am about to make the order, but am seeing many version such as HK stock global version, HK stock EU plug version, HK stock Global ROM, HK stock package B Global version. I don't really know which stock is good in Nigeria.
I want a phone of 5.0inches or 5.1 or 2inches, something that will easily fit into my pockets. i have chosen xiaomi redmi 4x, bacuase it 5.0inches, but am also looking at redmi note 4, but i think its 5.5inches.

from gearbest? Both fones are great, but the redmi note 4 has an edge which is ba3 life n beta processor. U can go for any depending on ur budget. I don't think aliexpress has this hk global stuff. Just look for global versions of the two, it comes pre installed with Google play services and apps

There's just something about nova that makes me like it. Customization, speed, fluidity just name it . Nova has been my go to launcher for 4years plus now and it gets better eith every update
