I miss comedies like this, grin alot of dark humor and jokes in this movie I laugh every five minutes.. They didn't even give Peter dinklage much screen time

Hmmm. While there was humor and some truth here and there ,Moon landing been filmed in Hollywood etc, shit was dry AF. The delivery for most of the movie was just dry, star-studded but dry.

5/10

Meet the horror genre. The gift that keeps giving. The most profitable and bankable low-risk genre in Hollywood.

On a more serious note, it seems small to mid budget films are on the rise again after the ginormous banger that was 2019 with numerous "big films" bringing huge money at the box office and COVID essentially delivered a huge blow to smaller movies theatrically with more people only willing to go to cinemas unless it's a true event film or worth the stress.

NB: Warner Bros might have had a mixed year with big flops in the superhero genre but their overall lineup of films had enough impact to put the company in the green. The studio is already set to win 2024 for the first time in a long while.

No offense oh, dem for just use that Monkey Man money take carry 2odds. grin grin cos WTF!!!

Gojira

I enjoyed it. The ending was too tight.

Image 1: I think I rewinded this scene like 3 or 4 times, the say dem off Godzilla light, too funny. grin

Image 2: See as them wear a whole Godzilla fanny packs for everywhere. grin grin

Image 3 and 4: You can actually feel how pissed Godzilla was. Nigga was forking angry.

Overall rating: 7/10.

P.S.: Why do most Japanese actors act like they're I'm a play. They always have to use overaching gestures, open their mouths wide just to act!

Perhaps you haven't seen enough Japanese movies/series.

They are like just like the regular Yoruba illiterate or tout that opens their whole mouth just to converse. grin
It's only a few of their actors that are able to converse without the mouth wide thing.

Does it matter their box office returns or that the movie is good?

I think his comment stems from that fact that female-led roles have tanked in the box office severally in huge franchise or should I say huge budget movies, so having multiple female lead movies doing so well is almost a shocker and a positive change in the norm of how it has been for a couple of years.

She has been great so far in the first 2 episodes. The show got potentials

Hmm that end of episode two, she hasn't made any call before the one with her daughter na? How did that dude know where they will go?

Don't know what that song means but damn, it was moving.

The Veil

For some reasons I don't know , I can't see Elizabeth Moss as an intelligence officer. I'm used to seeing her suffering, poker face at all times, solemn and humble.

I'd still give this show a chance, not done with the second episode yet. Let's see how it goes.

Its all displayed under the broad term 'loyalty'.

I guess that brings an end to the storyline
Wonder if they would make a spinoff

For me oh, let the story rest. All these spinoffs don't really hit like the main show. I think the only show whose spinoff was fire that I have seen is Yellowstone.

Tozawa didn't only bite the hand that fed him; he marinated it, cooked it, ate it and shat it out. The wife gave him opportunities to retrace his step but he belittled her. The thing that makes Jake a good journalist also makes him "not so good person", willing to endanger his life and life of those around him.

My favourite character in season 2 would be hagino (Tozawa's wife bodyguard). His blank stare has to be the best thing I've seen on TV this year.

If Hagino is a poker player, omo just forget it, your money is gone. You can't read his expression, just flat.

As for Jake, what makes him a good journalist makes him a bad member of his family. Like someone said, to be at the very top of whatever field, there is no work-life balance. Dude didn't really care for his family, just chasing stories.

Tozawa's face in this screenshot was it, after all the hustle and bustle, he still had to commit seppuku.

I was just laughing.

Tokyo Vice S02

Finally finished it. Saw the last 4 episodes.

Tozawa is one scary MF. Wetin dem don act forget, my heart was beating like crazy in the buildup for the 9th and 10th episode. Maybe Shogun has scared me, didn't think all of them were going to make it.

The mind wey Jake get sha to sleep with Yakuza boss mistress. Only the thought of being caught should make your dick shrivel.

For this life, always take 1hr to fear women. Tozawa was thinking he had arrived, wife tried to help me, nigga was thinking she na tag-along. As they say, hell hath no fury...

Maruyama boss, I liked the way he explained the way society works which is true. Overall politicians are just puppets to the wealthy.

I could go on and on about this show.

8.5/10.

Been looking forward to this movie. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint

Well, the build up was good, but the murderous intent at the end though wasnt really peak.

I liked the part about Bohemian Groove and what they might be doing there and what people 'do' to get to the very top in Hollywood.

The Greatest Hits.

Love story mixed with a little time travel. Enjoyable watch.

Side note: How much do these companies pay musicians or recording companies to use their songs in movies, cos the number of tracks that was played in this movie was insane.

Laroy, Taxas (2023)

A deadbeat simpleton with a cheating wife, is mistaken for a hitman for hire and things kinda just spiralled into the most funniest sequence of events ever, when the real hitman shows up 😅.

this is probably the funniest flick i have seen in awhile so if you're looking for something funny and light hearted for the weekend....look no further. i totally recommend. ☺️

7/10.

Saw it yesterday. That simp made my blood boil. Like it was so evident what she was doing, yet the simp was doing simp things. It's a 7 for me too.

I like the light hearted movies that are coming out this period. They make sense.
