It should be so, but unfortunately you are dealing with baboons and monkeys called nigerians who answer to the name given to them by a pale skin idiot called luggard. Any sane society would have marched against the level of injustice, oppression and poverty in this contraption but Naaayy everyone is sweating in pain and doing nothing about it. Carry the goat across first since the lion won't eat yam, then come back for the yam and carry it across second, but on your second return leg, carry the goat since you can't leave the goat with the yam, then take the lion across and finally take the goat on the last trip. Simple as Abacha and Ugba!

I deserve some accolades

Look at how buhari is sitting on half of the chair and his legs tightly together like a dog beaten by rain. Is it that this man doesn't understand the meaning of body language and sitting posture.

What a mess. Look at the seating posture of Putin when he visited the same white house. Two supposed presidents one very remarkable difference

Many people don't understand the British role in the catastrophies around the world and how they have used their propaganda machine many of which are commenting here to suppress such knowledge.

This bishop is a British tool and as well a high end criminal. These are the men who would rather the whole of Nigeria is islamised than Nigeria restructuring or splitting even if the whole blood of the supposed christians will spill.
I only still pity idiotic Nigerians in specific and Africans in general who still believe that stupidity of religion. To you I say "Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery cause non other but yourselves can free your mind.

Nnamdi Kanu remains another saviour for exposing what many couldn't dare speak about!

Good move Mr governor but please don't forget the PRODA Emene road leading to that world class secondary school that has the potential to make Enugu state even greater in the nearest future.
I think it's called Shalom Science and Technology Academy. The school has wonderful infrastructure but the road leading up to it is horrendous.
Please do something Gburus

EducationRe: Interswitch Spak Science Competition To Resuscitate Nigeria’s Education System by ActNowGov: 3:01pm On Feb 25, 2018
By SS2, any science competition to improve science education is already late. If interswitch is serious with its push for a STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) education, then the competition must have a junior category where as early as JSS2 students can compete unless they are telling us that our SS2 students are comparable to year 8 students abroad.

Though the comparison might be right, I see it as insulting. If you are going to do something then do it right!

Op what the heck is traditional Igbo and delta doing in the same sentence? (What is delta? huh)
Listen my friend, that stupid divide and conquer and loss of identity that flew in 2009 when we only had the Yoruba newspapers to read cannot and will not be allowed to fly anymore.
You either say Traditional Igbo names or you keep shut. There is nothing like delta Igbo, that rubbish is long gone. Igbo niile bu ofu. Apart from that, good topic and quite lovely names.

There was jubilation in Abakpa Nike, Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu State over the flag off of four major roads’ rehabilitation in the area, which were among the five road contracts awarded by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration, a few days ago.
Gov. Ugwuanyi had during his recent visits to Abakpa Nike Market road, Ugboghe and Ogwuagor communities in the Abakpa-Nike, Enugu, in company of the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi, promised the people of the areas that his administration will take urgent action towards rehabilitating their roads in the dry season. The governor, who visited the area, recently reassured the people that “massive works will commence on these roads immediately”. Keeping faith with the promise, the State Executive Council on Wednesday, approved the award of contracts for the construction of five urban and rural areas, mainly in Abakpa Nike, Enugu East L.G.A. Flagging off the projects, Gov. Ugwuanyi who was represented by the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Greg Nnaji, said that the projects, which have three-month duration for completion, were targeted at ameliorating the hardship being encountered by the people of the areas as a result of the deplorable condition of the roads.

The Works Commissioner noted the importance of the road to the communities, saying that the governor was passionate about improving the living standard of the people of the state, describing him as “one who is committed to fulfilling every promise he made at all time”. He disclosed that the approval for the award of contracts for the rehabilitation of the roads were obtained “48 hours ago to be precise”, adding that the immediate flag off was proof of the desire of the governor to fulfill his promise.
Reacting to the development, Chief Elias Agbo, the representative of Landlords and Landladies of Ogwuagor community, expressed surprise that a governor could make such promise and fulfill it, accordingly, saying: “Gov. Ugwuanyi is an action governor who makes promises and keeps them”.

Chief Agbo said that the residents of the community asked him to come and witness the flag off ceremony, to confirm that “what Gov. Ugwuanyi – Gburugburu, said he will do, he is actually doing it”, adding that “we have already seen with our eyes”.
He thanked the governor for providing the two transformers he promised the community the last time he visited, assuring him of their support and prayers.

“On behalf of the Ogwuagor landlords and landladies as well as the rest of the residents, I am here promising His Excellency and his administration that we are solidly behind him. Wherever he goes, we shall go with him because, Gburugburu is a man of action and we have seen love exhibited by him”, the community leader said.

At Abakpa Nike Market road, the Chairman of the Market Traders Association, Mr. Henry Ugwu, described Gov. Ugwuanyi as “a promise keeper”, saying the commencement of work on the road will impact positively on the lives of the people of the area, especially the traders.
He said the governor was at the market a few days ago to reassure them that work will commence on the road immediately and “ today, we the people of Abakpa are glad that we are flagging off the road construction”, saying: “ we are commending him and will support his administration till the end of his second term”
Bros are you saying this Emene road has been commissioned? shocked :oI pray so sha. undecided

Brothers, is this not a state government road or is it a Federal road?
I think it is a Cat C road which is a state government road. Although the number of federal parastatals there make me have a rethink if it is a federal road. (By the way I learnt that it was the pencil and ceramic sections of PRODA that Ogbonnaya Onu the minister of science and technology visited in 2015 and said that Nigeria will start manufacturing pencils by 2017. I will try and find out on my next visit there if any pencil has been produce by PRODA).

Nonetheless state or federal, the governor His Excellency can decide to take it upon himself as this industrial hub in Emene is a heart beat of Enugwu.

Industries are the lifeline of any sustainable economy. China have demonstrated that beyond all reasonable doubt.
Gburu Gburu should do something

The massive landed PRODA is just opposite. Please Gburu Gburu help the many private businesses there and repair this road. I am more particular about the school because that standard of investment should not be battling with the challenge of road.

ESWAMA what is your role again? Look at this mess guys?

This company by the left produces over 10 tankers of palm kernel oil a day! Palm kernel oil was said to sell better than crude oil when crude was selling for less than $40. This man should be enjoying the support of the government through infrastructural support.

Please can you show us pictures of the bad roads in question so we can find out whose responsibility it is for the repairs. I thought PRODA road is an inner city road inside Emene indusrial layout that leads into a town called Nchatancha Nike area.

Thank you.
My brother thank you. I will fight tooth and nail to see that I upload those pictures. They are an eye sore but I will do it.

Another observation.

Many people are no longer building industries, factories and production facilities inside the Emene industrial layout anymore, I see schools, churches and housing estates springing up inside the layout.

Are there no laws made to state what the use of these lands are, I think we should restrict the use to industrial purposes and revocation of allocation done if an person deviates from the plan.
Infact when I heard the highschool was more focused on Science, Computer and Technology, I couldn't have wished for a better location but in an industrial hub as it is done Abroad. Kids need to also from time to time tour some of these industries for inspiration and to see how things can be done better. Infact in my boys school abroad a few years ago, they took a tour of one of the prestigious car manufacturing plant and made a case study out of it. So i believe the school is best placed, as for churches honestly let me kept shut (too many things to say).

And I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of industries on that stretch of road (4 palm kernel oil production plants some of those guys ship over 50 trucks of this oil a week, there is also a Chinese owned timber exporting point. I didn't really like this one not because it was owned by a Chinese but because I was told that some days you would see over 15 trucks full of timber, then the next week you will see the 20 or more trucks with empty containers to be loaded for export. I wonder why Enugu state government did not ask that man to at least build a timber processing plant there not just cut and ship out to China, then there is PRODA, my god I wept the day I took a tour there. That was when I knew that Nigeria really hates prosperity of the Igbo's and then you have this school and so many other industries) Trust me the cluster of industries on that road alone is more than 100 Billion Naira or more (Ndi Igbo na agba mbo, we dey try well) if not more but the state of that road is just an eye sore.

I will try and post these pictures so that you people can help me access. Because to me that cannot be a normal operating condition in my beloved Enugu with an amiable governor like his excellency.

I have been facing numerous challenges in posting pictures as I have about 20 of them. I will try again today brothers. Please bear with me!
I could have sent my child to one of these elite schools in Lagos or Abuja, but after my many years abroad, I now know that there is a big difference between our own and my own.

Nke anyi bu nke anyi mana nke m bu nke mu! I understand and detest the evil politics being played in this expression and as long as I have my money, no other place will smell my investments but Ala Igbo.

P.S. Just in case I have been attempting to post pictures the wrong way, please can someone guide me. Cheers

I have been following this thread for quite sometime now and I want to honestly say kudos to Spyder880 and the many others that have kept this thread going.
Let me start by saying that His Excellency has been trying in actualizing his dreams for our beloved state. Truly he has been making giant strides in Nsukka especially. If you are reading this sir, I want to say well done and truly "Enugu state is in the hands of God". However as a recently returned citizen of Enugu state from the U.S.A and a concerned one too, I was SHOCKED recently when I visited the industrial hub of Enugu state... Emene especially PRODA Road.

I went there because I heard that there was this new school that is excellent in practical science and technology, Shalom Science and Technology Academy I believe it is called. So I decided to pay it a visit because my first son would be entering secondary school in September.

What I saw in terms of the road infrastructure, marveled me. I couldn't believe this was a part of the state not to mention the Industrial Hub. I will be posting pictures for you all to help me access this. I wept inside me for the numerous business people who were doing business in that street. The most unbelievable thing is that you have about 5 federal govt institutions on that road. (PRODA, SON, NIMC, THE Nigerian Police Headquarters, FITC etc.) My goodness me.

His Excellency should do something. A world class institution in Enugu's industrial hub should not be allowed to suffer this way. Also as you approach the school, they still have this banner of His Excellency and when he commissioned the school in September 2015 and when I asked why it was still there, I was told that the director still has high hopes and firm believe on His Excellency Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to do something about the road.
I want to use this platform to beg the governor to look at the road and the plight of the many multi million industries there. One time when I visited Anambra state, we took a drive to Nnewi, precisely to their industrial layouts. Men I saluted Peter Obi who was the governor then for how he made sure that the roads were in the best conditions. I am not here to compare states because Enugwu statii bu nke anyi but please Gburu Gburu do something about that road.
