What will that earn you in this country? There are a lot of first class graduate in the street, while we have a graduate with Pass doing well in an Oil company. Just pray to God to bless your efforts. I started my first year with 4.51 and since then I told God to bless it for me and I stopped reading like the way I used to do like before. Glory be to God, He answered all my prayers during my undergraduate and bless me with a 6 digits job and also with a managerial role. Please, always tell God to bless your efforts and not the grade. Funny enough, we only produced crammers and not a potential first class. Let me quickly ask you this; how many academic publication did you have? How many problem have you proffer a lasting solution to in respect to Accounting as a course? You rely on the archaic lecture note you lecturers are using to teach you and you are here telling us how good you're in cramming. Go and watch "The three idiots".

Op, you've done the best thing that's is expected from a responsible man. Please for the sake of the children let her be and always look for a proof for future purpose, because she will blackmail you and tell the children bad things about you. Please, don't take the children from her, because it is very glaring that after some time you would be thinking of getting another wife and that would be a serious threat to the growth and development of the innocent souls. But if you no that you won't marry another wife take full responsibility. In fact, I don't used to think about couple whenever there is a broken home, but mostly their children.

Develop yourself and hustle well the idiot will come back and beg you and after that teach her a lesson and disengage her after you have invited her to grace your friend wedding which will eventually be your wedding. Abeg, I don't like seeing something life this again.

Politics / Re: Did The Oba Of Lagos "Leave His Throne For Buhari" Yesterday? by Actuarydeji(m): 12:13pm On Feb 10, 2019
naptu2:
Monarchs in Nigeria usually have more than one throne in their throne room. In fact, most monarchs have 3 thrones in their throne room.

If another monarch visits the palace, for example, if the Emir of Kano visits the Oba of Lagos, then the Emir will sit on one of the other thrones.

There are usually 3 thrones because, according to protocol, when the president visits a state, he usually visits the most prominent traditional ruler in that state and the governor, as his host, usually accompanies him on that visit. So that traditional ruler would usually sit on the biggest throne (in the middle), the president would sit on his right and the governor on his left.

Yoruba as a tribe is the worse among the other tribes in Nigeria, no Hausa man will insult his fellow from the same tribe in public, but in Yoruba land reverse is the case. Imagine Tinubu and Obasanjo trading obnoxious words publicly. This good for nothing King, just downgrade his fellow tribal guy, no Northerner king, I repeat no Northern king will stand up completely and vacant his seat for anothrr king to seat let alone a subject.
However, in recent months there have been some crazy threads on Twitter and Nairaland in which some people have alleged that the monarch "left his throne" for another person and that the monarch has therefore "desecrated Yoruba culture". So, for example, when Pastor Adeboye visited the Ooni of Ife, some people posted a close up picture of Adeboye sitting on a throne and claimed that the Ooni "left his throne for Adeboye".

Similarly, this morning someone posted a close up picture of Buhari sitting on a throne at Iga Idungaran and claimed that the Oba of Lagos "left his throne for Buhari".

They posted the first picture as proof that the Ooni left his throne for Adeboye to sit on.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/8724379_ooni_jpeg546cca09cfa00ec12c1331bbff32103c

However (as you can see from the 2nd picture), the Ooni's throne is actually a couch and that's the throne that he sits on when he has guests.

This is even clearer in the 3rd picture. You can see the leopard skin rug in front of the throne.

OP, you are heavily misguided like kilode so much I couldn't move out of the thread without leaving a long comment behind. Pls don't be annoyed o. You really need some bluntness if your story is true.

Firstly, mum or no mum, at your age; you can't afford to make a very foolish decision, which consequences would spiral into several decades of your life.

Imagine? You even got sexually involved! For that, please go for deliverance and pray for forgiveness and good foresight.

Meanwhile, dump whatever you call love and flee from that cage you placed yourself through lust while it is not too late and never forget the following:

1. Never be romantically/sexually involved with another man's wife. Never! No matter the financial gain or promiscuity of the woman, Never!

2. If you choose to be in a relationship with a widow, ensure you physically and spiritually investigate what led to the demise of her husband, and the things that must be done by whoever wishes to remarry her. Patiently attend to this if your life is very precious to you.

3. Never ever marry someone out of pity.

4. Never look forward to being an Avenger (Hero) rescuing someone from singleness/widowhood. Never! Your life is too precious to take the lead role in another blockbuster movie.

5. Read 1 to 4 again.
Guy, you need to read the post again. She's a widow

Jobs/Vacancies / Nigerian Peace Corps Bills Is Gone And Gone Forever by Actuarydeji(m): 5:06am On May 27, 2018
The House of Representatives, on Thursday, voted against the Bill for an Act to Establish the Nigerian Peace Corps.

President Muhammadu Buhari had declined to sign the controversial Nigerian Peace Corps (Establishment Bill) 2017 recently passed by the National Assembly.

He conveyed his decision to withhold his assent in a letter sent to the National Assembly on February 27.

The President had given two reasons for rejecting the proposed organisation.

One of which was “security concerns regarding the proposed Nigerian Peace Corps being authorised to undertake activities currently being performed by extant security and law enforcement agencies.”

The second reason was “financial implications of funding the establishment and operations of the proposed Nigerian Peace Corps, given the scarce financial resources, which may pose a serious challenge to the government.”

Representing the bill for a second reading at the plenary, as part of the process to override the President’s veto, Rep Emmanuel Orker-Jev (Benue APC) argued that the two reasons cited by President Buhari were not strong enough to stand down the bill.

Other lawmakers in support of Orker-Jev, who was the sponsor of the bill, included Reps Lovette Ndubuisi (Delta PDP), Tahiru Monguno (Borno APC), Jonathan Gaza (Nasarawa PDP), Goni Lawal (Yobe APC), Rita Orji (PDP), Rimande Shawulu (Taraba PDP), Sunday Adepoju (Oyo APC), Istifanus Gyang (Plateau PDP), among others.

According to Ndubuisi, Nigeria should be able to operate a security system that can be juxtaposed with international practice.

He said the acceptability of the bill could not be overemphasised.

Monguno said the establishment of Peace Corps would help to strengthen the country’s security structure.

”No amount of money spent to guarantee the security of lives and property will be too much,” he said.

Orji argued that if passed into law, the creation would help to combat the high rate of unemployment among the youths in the country.

”There are many jobless people in our society today. And when a boy has nothing doing, he will end up as area boy. So if Peace Corps will reduce the unemployment rate, I think we should see it as a palliative measure,” she said.

Also, Shawulu said since the country was under-policed, the need to have such security agency was timely.

However, some of the legislators opposed the idea, citing financial constraint among other reasons.

Those who disagreed with the proposal included Reps Ahmed Wase (Plateau APC), Bashir Baballe (Kano APC), Abubakar Adamu (Niger APC), Osai Osai (Delta PDP), Alhassan Doguwa (Kano APC), Babajimi Benson (Lagos APC), A. Adar (Sokoto APC).

According to Wase, the supposed head of the organisation collected N50, 000 from each applicants.

”Is that the only avenue to employ? We should remember that those who started the Civil Defence today are still volunteering. Will this one not go the same way?

”I appeal to my brother to step down the bill and let us do a thorough job on it,” he said.

On his part, Baballe argued that at a time when the existing security agencies were underfunded, it would be improper to establish a new one.

Adamu also cited the issue of inter-agency rivalry among security agencies as another reason for the bill to be stepped down.

He said such act might undermine the security of the country.

Doguwa stated that what the country should focus on at the moment was how to consolidate on the existing security agencies to make them efficient.

After a tensed deliberation that lasted for over an hour, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara, put a question on whether the bill should go for a second reading.

However, majority of the lawmakers across party lines voted against it.

It would be recalled that the proposed outfit had generated serious controversies across the country.

Among security agencies, particularly the Nigeria Police, there was an outright rejection of the corps on the grounds that it would duplicate the duties of the existing agencies.
