Fashion / 5 Amazing Fashion Tips For Ladies This Christmas by adamasmag: 4:25am On Nov 11, 2019
Christmas is fast approaching and you still can’t resist your urge to go shopping, can you? If you are on a budget, you can still do some fantastic shopping without breaking the bank. We bring to you some handy fashion tips to stay ahead even when on a budget. These tips are a new set of rules to swear by to always look hip and cool even without splurging your money on expensive brands, clothes, accessories or shoes!

Read on for the top 5 fashion tip:

1. Quality over quantity, always
No doubt, we all tend to buy more clothes that consequently and unfortunately sit in our wardrobes without coming to any use. So the rule is to focus on quality over quantity. Just don’t buy that item if it is on sale, buy it only if you plan to wear it. This ways you will not only end up saving your money but also some space in your closet and situations like “I have got nothing to wear”!

2. Invest in key wardrobe items
Your closet must contain items like a white tea, basic denim, little black dress, high heels, trench coat and a chic bag. These are some basic, universal staples you just can’t do without. They can be mixed and matched on any occasion and made to last all the seasons. But choose them carefully, and ensure they fit your taste and style.

3. Mix and match
Why wear the same tee with the same pair of jeans? Mix and match! Accessorize your looks; add a scarf, a belt and some heels. Replace that basic denim with a ripped one. Change your hairstyle and add some jewels. You can always freshen up your look by mixing and matching different items from your closet and creating a new look every day.

4. Don’t buy something that would look great on you “when you lose some weight”
We all have those dresses that don’t fit us at present but we always dream of wearing it after we lose some inches. Girls, why buy something that would just overload our wardrobe and not come to use anytime soon? The trick is to buy something that is currently in trend and fits you perfectly!

5. Go for high street brands
After all, they are budget-friendly! Yes, brands like Forever21, H&M and Topshop offer some really cool stuff at affordable prices. The trick while shopping at these stores is to stick with solids, try different colours and buy small prints.

PS: It is not about what you buy, but how you wear it!

Career / Don’t Find Purpose, Let Your Purpose Find You by adamasmag: 6:29pm On Jul 09, 2019
Since I was a little girl, I have always heard about the word “purpose”, finding ones purpose and calling. Till date, I am still intrigued by the concept of purpose because it gives one a sense of direction and bearing towards life.

Purpose is the most phenomenal subject that cannot be overemphasized.
Purpose also makes life more meaningful and fulfilling. Millions of books have been written regarding purpose and thousands of messages have been spread all across the world about purpose.

In my quiet time, I was able to listen to late Dr Myles Munroe messages and read some of his book on this subject. The best thing that has happened to me so far, was the liberating facts I encountered.

Sharing these facts is also a great relief for me because I want to see people excelling in their area of calling and living their best lives . I came up with few nuggets below:

1. To Live a purposeful life is to be intentional and find purpose in everything you do;

i. Read with purpose to appreciate somebody else’s perspective.
ii. Eat with the purpose to be healthy and active.

iii. Sleep with a purpose to dream.

iv. Wake up the next morning with a purpose to fulfil those dreams.

v. Interact with people with a purpose to build memories, know them better and see where you can fill a need in their lives.

Purpose is an all encompassing phenomenal, it’s why your heart yearns for music not medicine. It’s why you can write a great story but never solve a simple arithmetic.

Don’t find purpose, let purpose find you.. just keep doing whatever comes easy for you. Take up new challenges and skills, drop the ones you struggle with and embrace the ones you find interesting and appealing.

Take up skills that set your heart on fire, that leaves you with new inspirations everyday. We are all wired differently, don’t compare someone else’s gifts with yours.

If you are still finding purpose, I will stay stop right there and start doing the thing(s) you love, that comes naturally for you. Then purpose will find you.
Dare to live a purpose driven life.

Wrong. Being organised has nothing to do with how early you wake up, or how late you sleep. There are many early risers who are quite disorganized.

yes you dont necessarily have to shower once you showered the night before. However depending on the weather and other enviromental factors, you might have to apply roll on to combat sweating that might occur under the armpits during the night. smiley

Life is a not a one- way street. Everybody cannot be a morning person. Life is rather a mixture of diverse people with different personalities and diverse interests.

It is amazing how some people find it very easy to wake up 4:00am every morning to start their day while some others snooze their alarm and find it difficult to get out of bed.

If you not a morning person, don’t sweat it. What really matters is your overall productivity not the time you wake up.

“Bloom where you’re planted” applies to you here!

The truth is, it’s not about how much you sleep or don’t sleep. It’s what you do while you’re awake that matters.
The reality is that there’s no benefit to being a “morning person” and there’s no right or wrong time to deploy your energy against the things that matter the most. Far too many people focus and waste tons of time and energy on the things that don’t map to what they (or their business) want to accomplish.

Streamline your morning routine.
You hate getting up early, so the obvious solution is to sleep later. How do you do that?
“Take a shower, lay out your clothes, pack your briefcase and make your breakfast and lunch the night before the workday. Taking care of these routines can shave an hour off your morning and score you an extra hour of sleep every night. That can lead to dramatic improvements in a.m. reaction time, alertness, mood and productivity.

Encourage yourself to be more organised.
Have a particular bag , or container for keeping everything. The more organised you are, the more time you save to achieve your daily task.

At night when you are most active, utilise your time and do something productive.

If you try to be a copy cat and follow the early risers then you might be doing your health more harm than good. Some people eventually fall sick or go around grumpy and cranky all day long.

What is the beauty of life, if you are not enjoying your life to the fullest?

Lastly, you are not inferior in anyway, that is just the way you are wired.

As a matter of fact you are rockstar !
Embrace yourself

Some will say, i don’t have the capital to start up a business, i’m trusting God for a helper of destiny, Whereas all they need is to begin start small and start where they are.

After doing my research, I have put together some fantastic business ideas that can try in 2019 with determination, consistency and God’s grace you will succeed.

Below are the business ideas

Please leave makeup artistry, gele, fashion designing , hair and shoes , cream selling in 2019, that market is very much saturated, as a matter of fact, most of our female celebrities have strong influence in that business, think out of the box like i did in this research and create a nitch for yourself .

1. PRODUCTS RESELLING: A couple of friends i know are into product marketing/reselling , you necessarily don’t need to own a shop or anything as such. All you need is to have a social media presence and start selling.

The logic behind this business is for you to have a product you are interested in. Say for instance, ladies perfume oil, Your job is to walk up to a big shop around you that sells them in wholesale prices ,get into an agreement with the shop owner that you want to resell their product online.

When you both agree take pictures of the stock, upload them on your social media account ,add your profit and promote. Viola You are self employed.

Your job is to ensure prompt delivery to your customers and sell quality. It could be wigs, perfume, fashion accessories, beddings, household utensils, name it. your options are endless.

2. FREELANCING: If you have a skill that you are good at, freelancing will pay you off both online and offline, Families are living on freelancing jobs. Why not learn a skill or refine the skill you already have and make cool cash as a self- employ woman. 3.SELLING FOOD PRODUCTS : Nigeria is blessed with numerous agricultural product, You can do more research and begin a mini importation business to different states. Edo state is also known for great palm oil and plantain, food is a basic need, you can never go out of business when you cater for basic needs of life.

4.TUTORING: If you have passion for teaching, there are a number of courses you can tutor on. Indicate on your what app status or Facebook timeline that you are into private teaching for kids or adult and you will start getting responses. Use social media to promote yourself.

5. CRÈCHE OR DAY CARE CENTER: If you have space in your apartment, you can transform it into a creche, place a banner outside your house, advertising your creche(most for stay at home moms). Research how much other crèche charges and make yours lesser. Before you know it you are already the most patronized Day care center in your vicinity. Get toys and as your business grows you will employ more people.

6.SELL COOK FOOD WITHIN A TERTIARY INSTITUTION OR OFFICE ENVIRONMENT: If you are a great cook, open a canteen business or a mini food packaging business within a school environment like NOUN,YABATECH, ICAN CENTERS during exams my dear you are already counting your thousands everyday. Other schools that offer part time lectures during weekend can also be a good place to sell your delicious food if you cannot afford a shop . Office environment is also another business friendly place you can sell your delicious food.

7.HAIR HOME SERVICE : Not having enough capital to set up your salon is not enough excuse for you not to make money with your hair dressing skills. Re-brand Yourself and get a business card as a home service hair stylist. Spread the word on your social media pages and before you know it, you are getting jobs.
NOTE: Don’t forget post pictures of your work regularly on your social media handles.

8. SELLING UK-USED CLOTHES/BAG/SHOES: You don’t need to have a shop before you do this business, all you need is a good marketing skills and ability to persuade your female friends to buy from you. ladies can never have enough clothes, shoes and bags especially when it is affordable and unique. so the more the merrier.

Make sure you chose trendy and very nice stuff ,You can take them to female university or polytechnic hostels around you, after church service and meetings. Be mindful of debtors. Determination and focus is key in this business

9.PACKAGED CRAYFISH BUSINESS: Go to the most popular food market around you and buy crayfish better still, if you can buy it from other states where it is cheaper, good for you. Pick your fresh crayfish neatly package and seal them with your crayfish branded business name and supply to supermarkets around you. Your business will boom.

10. SELL MEN STUFF : The best target audience for women are men’s product, some men don’t have time to go shopping, so bringing your products to their doorsteps or offices gives you more chances to make good sales. Make sure you sell quality, men love to buy quality stuff.

Career / New Year’s Resolution Or New Year’s Solution? by adamasmag: 12:08pm On Jan 04, 2019
Yes! 2019 is here, a new year we all have been looking forward to. Its the season of New Year’s Resolution. The interesting fact is that, the year is running really fast already and our best bet is to run with it.

For some its setting new goals and others, its going back to the goals that was set the previous years and achieving them this time.

What does resolution mean, a resolution is a firm decision to do or not to do something while a solution is a means of solving a problem or dealing with a difficult situation. You will agree with me that we’ve all got a problem that needs solution, ignoring it is like not facing reality.

Finding my facts, i research about the history of New year resolution, according to Wikipedia , A New Year’s resolution is a tradition, most common in the Western Hemisphere but also found in the Eastern Hemisphere, in which a person resolves to change an undesired trait or behavior, to accomplish a personal goal or otherwise improve their life.

Some popular resolutions are:

Promise to donate to charities more often
Try to become more assertive
Strive to be more environmentally responsible.
Improve physical well-being: eat healthy food, lose weight, exercise, more, eat better , drink less alcohol, quit smoking, get rid of old bad habits
Improve mental well-being: think positive, laugh more often, enjoy life
Improve finances
Finance : get out of debt , save money, make small investments
Improve career: perform better at current job, get a better job, establish own business
Improve education : improve grades, get a better education, learn something new (such as a foreign language), study often, read more books, improve talents
Improve self: become more organized, reduce stress , be less grumpy, manage time, be more independent, perhaps watch less television, play fewer sitting-down video games
Take a trip
Volunteer to help others, practice life skills, use civic virtue, give to charity, volunteer to work part-time in a charity organization
Get along better with people, improve social skills, enhance social intelligence
Make new friends
Spend quality time with family members
Settle down, get engaged/get married, have kids
Pray more, be more spiritual
Be more involved in sports or different activities
Spend less time on social media (such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr etc.).
Many of us have been setting new year resolutions every other year, its time to take a deep reflection and ask ourselves these questions, how often have we been faithful with these resolutions? are these goals realistic and personal? some people set goals because their friends or relatives are setting same goals. Life is a personal journey and we are running a different race.

If you have followed through your previous New Year’s resolutions , i think its time to set new ones for 2019 but if you haven’t followed through , i suggest you find New Year solutions to them. Whats the point of setting new goals when all you need is to find solutions to the ones you already have.

This brings me to the topic of discussion, Are you setting New Year’s resolution or New Year’s Solution.

I leave you to answer that.

Career / Dealing With Unemployment And Depression by adamasmag: 5:10pm On Oct 15, 2018
Unemployment can lead to depression. Being broke is not funny in this time and age where one cannot afford the kind of lifestyle one desires and also become a burden to people around . Without a regular source of income or a way to spend your time, you may start to feel anxious and adrift.

Today, i will share some practical ways to deal with unemployment and depression.

Being Unemployed is not permanent : Your current situation is just temporal, always remember that behind every dark cloud comes a silver lining. Once you set your mind that you wont be unemployed for too long, that mindset will help you fight against depression.

Have a plan : If you are really determined to get a job, have a plan on how to go about it. Do you have a bachelor’s degree? search for vacancies around you. submits resumes daily and always pray for a good job.

Use social media to your advantage : follow social media accounts that post job vacancies and turn on notifications. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter are good source for your job search.

Contact your Network: Don’t be shy to ask your relatives and friends for vacancy in their workplace. you might never know where opportunities can come from.
Learn a skill: No knowledge is a waste and also, knowledge is money. people will pay you for what you know how to do. Turn your skill into a profitable source of income.

Freelancing : with the rate of unemployment in the country, freelancing has become a high demand, people are willing to pay for part-time services instead of full paid employment. in that case sign up for some digital market place and keep exploring your options.
Get your hands dirty: Instead of waiting for a white collar job with some handsome paycheck, why not try random services like ushering jobs, cleaning, baby sitting or creche, sell food at DLI campuses ,get involved in charity, do internship and the list is endless, until you land your dream job. Remember an idle hand is the devil’s workshop.

Don’t Give Up: Always have it in mind that there’s a job for you. it doesn’t matter how long it that takes . As long as you are determined, hardworking and positive. You will definitely leave the unemployed status.

Business / HELP!!! My Business Is Dying by adamasmag: 3:11pm On Aug 21, 2018
In January 2018, one of my New Year’s resolutions was to start a business. Anytime I saw successful business women on Instagram, I sort of admired them because I had always aspired to become a successful business woman myself.

I started selling human hair and the business was doing fine until my girlfriends who partied every weekend wouldn't pay up their debts. I was literally chasing them everywhere until the business crashed

I started another business selling designers bags and shoes. This business lasted for 6 months and it crashed again, for reasons I can’t pinpoint. Then I started selling makeup and beauty products. I really struggled in this business because I bought counterfeit products by mistake. This really affected my customers’ trust and some of them never bought anything from me after that horrible experience.

I decided to seek professional help, seeking answers to my predicament. Why were all my my businesses failing?

I will be sharing some tips for running a successful business, which I learned from a business coach. This may be of help when you decide to start a new business venture or if you are going through some challenges.

Be Passionate About Your Business: Never delve into a business venture just because it is trending. Instead, go into a business because you have passion for that business – if it excites you and makes you want to put your best foot forward.

Patience and Persistence is the Key: Forget all the beautiful pictures and comments you see on the social media pages of successful business women. The truth is that you have no idea how they started. You only see the pretty pictures but not the blood, sweat, and tears it took for them to get there. There is no such thing as an overnight success. Be patient and be persistent. Trust the process. Soon, you too will have a thriving business.

Use Social Media to Grow Your Customers: Over 1 billion people are on social media, that means that your potential customers are out there on social media. Why not run some sponsored advertisements to advertise your products? You never know who is searching for what you are selling.

Sell Quality: Quality is non-negotiable. You don’t want your business to have bad reviews, do you? This can cause a lot of damage and scare away potential customers. Be sure you are selling quality products/rendering quality services, not just posting pretty photos on Instagram.

Sell Your Business at Every Opportunity: Don’t ever be shy about your business. Talk about it as much as you can to whoever will listen. Out socializing? Make some new acquaintances and let them know about your business. At church for Sunday service? Introduce yourself to the person next to you, and tell them about you business. Etc etc. You never know, they just might be your potential customer.

Learn How to Put a Structure in Place for Your Business: You can do this by seeking the advice of people in your field who have successfully run their businesses. Also, you could sign up for any entrepreneurship classes in your area.

Got some additional tips? Feel free to share with us in the comments section below.

Romance / Re: Ways To Know If Your Man Is A Husband Material by adamasmag: 4:35pm On Jul 28, 2018
donbachi:
There is no perfect man.all everybody need is empathy.

very true but I think he needs to posses some certain attributes .
Romance / Ways To Know If Your Man Is A Husband Material by adamasmag: 12:38pm On Jul 28, 2018
You can figure out if he is husband material by considering his level of respect, evaluating if you share common beliefs, and understanding if he truly makes you happy or not. If you’re currently single, there’s a chance you have a list of the important qualities you’re looking for in a man. Tall, dark, and handsome? Sure. But you know that in the grand scheme of things, a thrilling appearance is nowhere near the most important trait a man can have. If you’re ready to settle down and find true love.  here’s what will make him marriage material:

1. HE IS TRUSTWORTHY. It’s never a good feeling to doubt your dude. Honesty and trust is everything in a relationship. If he wants to hang out with his guy friends, you need to trust that he’s being truthful (and not actually out with his cute new coworker). Once you’ve established trust with each other, the rest of the relationship should just come naturally.

2. HE KNOWS HOW TO MAKE YOU LAUGH.Even if he cracks up at “Dad jokes”, being able to laugh and let loose over anything is a truly important characteristic that your man should have. The best guy avoids childish pranks, and can see the humor in everyday situations. It’s especially great if he can lighten the mood during stressful moments. When things seem dire, a good laugh is often hard to find.

3. HE KNOWS HOW TO MANAGE HIS FINANCES.Money is one of the number one things that couples fight about. You want a guy who isn’t afraid to spend  on occasion, but also knows that blowing his entire paycheck on video games is a bad idea. This guy knows that rent and utilities are a higher priority than fancy dinners and pricey new clothes.

4. HE IS A FAMILY MAN. Whether or not the two of you decide to have children or be child free is completely up to you, but you’ll want a guy who at least knows how to act around kids. He also won’t turn his nose up whenever your mom calls, since he knows how important it is to stay connected to family.

5. HE IS GOT A SENSE OF ADVENTURE.We all have weekends where we feel a little too attached to the couch, but in the grand scheme of things, your ideal guy won’t be afraid to go outside and have an adventure with you. He wants to experience as much as he can, and has no fear of exploring the unknown.

6. HE IS ALSO READY TO TAKE ON THE TITLE OF “BEST FRIEND.” When something good happens to you, you want to tell your best friend. If something terrible happens to you, your bestie is usually the first person you think of venting to. And if your bestie is your boyfriend, all the better. You need to be with someone you want to share your life with, both the good and the bad.

7. HE TRULY APPRECIATES YOUR QUIRKS.Nobody’s perfect. Everyone has that one weird flaw that is hopefully cute and not terrifying. Your ideal guy will accept you just as you are, and won’t try to change you. In fact, maybe he was drawn to you based on that quirk.

8. HE ISN’T SOCIAL MEDIA CRAZY.You get what I mean. He doesn’t spend hours checking his Facebook feed, and doesn’t craft events with you just for the Instagram photo. He likes spending time with you, and realizes that not everything is a photo opportunity to share with the world.

9. HE’S GOT A GRAND PLAN FOR HIS LIFE.It’s not too healthy to have everything planned by the year, but a guy who has a general rough draft of where he sees himself in a few years is a guy who doesn't  just coast through life. He’s thought ahead, and has visions of where he’d be happiest, as well as direction on how to get there.

10. HE INSPIRES YOU TO BE A BETTER PERSON.This one is super important. You want to be with someone who makes you strive to be the best version of you that you can be. He’ll never outwardly say that you should change, but you’ll evolve naturally due to the fact that he believes in you. The best relationships help us mature into well-rounded, happy individuals.

Live your own life.

Love who you want.

No games. Twitter experts won't live your life for you.

Bleep if you want. Don't bleep if you don't want to. Do not use bleeping or the lack of bleeping to keep a man. It won't work.

hmmm, to every man his own prerogative.

It depends.
If you're dominant, you'll enjoy relating with a submissive because while you will feel comfortable expressing the urge to dominate him, he or she will equally enjoy the freedom to express his or her submissive urge.

There's a caveat here, however, the degree of your dominant tendencies has to match with his or her submissive urge, or else, one would hardly cope with the other. This is extremely important!

very important. Nice point there

Why didnt you add financially ready too?

Ladies, if you are a member of this forum and you dont have any source of income, you dont have any job or biz that brings atleast 20k in a month.., Then you dont have any bizness with marriage.

I hate hearing some married women say things like "Aunty, borrow me 500 naira to cook food for my children, I will pay you back when my husband comes back from work".

Money gives you voice in life. it gives you voice among your friends, It gives voice among your family members, it gives you voice in your church, It even gives you voice in your marriage.

powerful point, Thanks for sharing.
It is good for a woman to be financially empowered.
The idea of waiting for a man to foot the bills, is so odd.

2. Positive Mentality:

Instead of seeing the cup half empty, see it as half full.
Instead of thinking he is coming home late because he went to see some side Chick, think "maybe he is stuck In hold up.

Instead of always trying to chop of his head because he didn't do something right, see it as a perfect partnership where the short comings of one is quickly absorbed by the other.

3. Working on the Mind as it relates to God and prayers for your union and all

4. Developing the mind with books on the difference between being single and been married. Friends, family and mentors in marriage.

5. Working on the mind as it relates to finances. NO, what is his isn't only for the Fam and what is yours, yours. It is a partnership.

And a host of others, but the bottom line is, Knowledge and marriage wisdom don't jump on people from outa space. They must be acquired through good books from people who have made impact in their marriages, vids and the guidance of the Holy Spirit!

Life is in the mind ( spiritual). You can't apply physical approach to it.

wisdom here, thanks for sharing

Every lady needs to be mentally, physically and emotionally ready before getting married. Yes! marriage takes a lot to make it work. For many women, marriage is something they’ve been looking forward to since they were a little girl. While it’s undoubtedly an exciting and momentous experience in life, it’s far from the only life-changing and all-important event. For this reason, it’s best not to rush your trip down to the altar. This is true even if you’ve been with your significant other for several years  or even decades.

Below are some lists that can help prepare you mentally, emotionally and physically for a successful and long-lasting marriage.

1.Create a Life That You Love *Without* a Partner
That way, when he shows up, you’re already grounded. You’re not dependent on him, and you'll be more likely to find someone who loves you and your passions.

2. Create a List of Five Values It's Important Your Partner Has
Say, for example, that finding a partner who follows a sustainable lifestyle is absolutely crucial for you. Put that on the list as a reminder not to compromise on your core values. Disclaimer: If you feel that your priorities are shifting and that what you thought was a dealbreaker value isn't really a dealbreaker value anymore, then by all means, change your list. It's not set in stone. But if the guy you're heading down the aisle with right now doesn't meet one of the criteria on your list—and you still feel it's important—then it may be time to re-evaluate your relationship before you make a big mistake.

3.Learn How to Be Alone without Being Lonely
Need some help? Try taking yourself to dinner once a week or planning one night a week just for you. You’ll find that whatever you choose to do in those moments is what you really want to do. And knowing how to “find your chill” is crucial because it means that you don’t need outside validation to feel whole—and you don’t put unfair expectations on your partner to keep you entertained. In turn, you’ll likely encourage your partner to pursue his hobbies, too, which will create a healthy interdependent relationship. It’s better to rely on each other completely equally than to have one person do the heavy lifting, which will likely cause tension down the line.

4.Create Time and Space in Your Life for a Relationship
You know that whole idea of "If you build it, they will come?" The same goes for your love life: If you make room in your life for a relationship, you're way more likely to find that one falls into place. And if you have an S.O. but don’t invest enough time or effort into your partnership, chances are you won't have it for long.

5. Agree on How You and Your Partner Will Handle Your Finances.
You may have been managing your own finances for a while now, but once you meet the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, figuring out how to share a bank account can get tricky. Discuss financial biggies (read: any potential debt you'll need to manage, what you're comfortable paying for rent or a mortgage, what the price cutoff should be for discussing an impulse purchase, how much you want to try to save each month, etc.) in advance so you know what you’re dealing with from the get-go.

6. Stop sharing every detail of your relationship with others
When you first met or started dating, you might have unveiled every tiny detail about your now  to your friends and maybe even your family. But now that you’re serious, it's important to preserve and protect the integrity of the relationship. “When you get mad, no Facebook rants or cryptic quotes about a fight you may be having and no more calling all of your friends for consensus about whether you are right or wrong in an argument,” says Nelson. “Your marriage is sacred and what happens in your relationship needs to stay in your relationship.” She suggests instead, leaning on a trusted best friend to blow off steam or find a therapist that you can confide in and learn skills to be a better mate and get through conflicts.

7. Learn To Cook
No, Noodles doesn’t count as food.

Life Lessons I Learnt from Social Media
Celebrities / Life Lessons To Learn From Meghan Markle Feminism And Linda Ikeji's Celibacy by adamasmag: 10:33pm On May 23, 2018
i want the share with you some life lessons i have learnt from social media for the past few days.

LIVE YOUR LIFE:The earlier you start living your life, the better for you. You cannot be switching your lifestyle because of what celebrities say. It is okay, to have role models and mentors in the society but then again, are your mentors really worthy of emulations? Life is very unpredictable, your mentor is also unpredictable. You are the architect of your destiny, live your LIFE!

SOCIAL MEDIA IS FULL OF LIES: I am going to be real with you,not everything you see on Facebook, Twitter, especially Instagram is real. It is very easy for anyone to stand in front of someone else's car and claim it belongs to them. People do a lot of shits to keep up appearances, like my friends will call it "Borrow Pose". My dear, don't always believe what you see on social media. The person you are adoring might be in serious debt.

DO NOT TAKE SOCIAL MEDIA PERSONAL: Why happily log into your social media accounts, only to leave there sad or depressed. You need to be in  charge of  your emotions. Guide what you feed your mind on. Never take anything personal. Always have this at the back of your mind.

IT IS OKAY TO UNFOLLOW AND BLOCK ANYONE THAT IS A THREAT TO YOUR MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH: I personally have done that sometimes ago,for my own peace of mind. i unfollowed a friend who was making me feel we were in a competition. It okay that i don't get to see their updates and that's fine. Life is not a competition, you can do the same.

YOU ARE NOT IN THIS WORLD TO PLEASE PEOPLE: Before you spend your life savings on the latest shoes and bag trying to impress your followers and gain new followers, remember that you are not in this world to impress people. If you don't have money to be like the popular social media influencer, its okay. Be contented, with what you have. Slay in your own way and remember you are in your own lane.
