As earlier published by Punch this morning https://www.nairaland.com/3157608/man-rapes-kills-ghanaian-lagos, we the residents of Ibeshe-Balogun (Oke-Ota to be precise) area of Ikorodu Local Government in Lagos State have been thrown in a serious mourning and we are still in a great suspense as a notorious guy called Badoo has been raping and injuring married women in the area.

Badoo would break into homes at midnight wearing only pant, knowing fully that the husbands were not around, rape the women, clean their private parts with a handkerchief and ask them to suck his penis. If you refuse to do the later, you would be brutalized.

Unfortunately, Mrs Obinna Grace received Badoo last Sunday, 5th of June at around 1am, was raped but Grace refused to suck which in return made Badoo to brutalize her and her 8-month-old baby (baby still in coma).

The Ghanaian wife was rejected at two different hospitals before she was taking to the Lagos State Teaching Hospital where she was eventually declared dead on Wednesday.

Consequently, women from Oke-Ota, Ibeshe-Titun, Abule-Oshorun and from other nigh-by communities mobilized one another to protest at the Palace of Olubeshe of Ibesheland on Thursday over the emergence of Badoo and his destructive doings.

The Imo State Government with a heart filled with deep sorrow hereby announces the painful demise of the Director General of the IBC, Mrs. Esther Obong Egbuna, popularly known as Sister E, until her death was one of the reputed figures in the journalistic industry.


Sister E rose to the heights in IBC from the low rungs of the ladder in the corporation. She was a lady of humility, industry, unrelenting good aspirations, a lady with a large and broad heart full of human compassion and empathy, she will forever remain unforgettable in the annals of the IBC. She piloted the affairs of the IBC orient FM/TV to the extent that the laurels that came to IBC as the clearest voice East of the Niger knew have no limits.

Sister E brought a new vision, mission and direction to the broadcasting service of the IBC. In her tenure, IBC had a new and unprecedented image as a broadcasting house. She passionately redefined dedication to duty and service to government and the people.

Her painful demise on the 10th of June, 2016 was confirmed with uncontrollable tears by the family members. She was survived by a son, brothers, sisters and an aged mother.

The Imo State Govt acknowledges that a perennial vacuum has been created in the family, a vacuum has also been created in the IBC and the broadcasting world is left dumbfounded. A gem and a broadcasting icon is gone. Govt cannot fully console the family she left behind. However, God knows best and has His reasons for every action. We are therefore consoled that God will give the family she left behind the grace and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss in their lives.

The State Govt also uses this medium to console the entire IBC staff and family on the sudden demise of their beloved Director General. Also the IBC staff are admonished to keep up with the pace and good works she had set and left behind in good faith. They should be unrelenting in their prayers for the successful repose of her soul.

Imo State Govt on behalf of all Imolites and other fans of Mrs Esther Obong Egbuna across the action therefore wish to use this medium to commiserate with the entire Egbuna and Obong families on this sorrowful demise of their daughter, wife and mother. We also pray to the Almighty God to grant her soul a peaceful and eternal rest.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Popular Yoruba movie actress, Henrietta Kosoko died today at the age of 53. In addition to being a veteran in the industry, the talented role interpreter was also a loving mother.

2. Her native name is Emumejiakpo.
3. Her family has strong ties with Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos state. By that fact, Henrietta was a daughter-of-the-soil.
4. She trained as a caterer before going into acting.
5. Henrietta first met and fell in love with Jide Kosoko when, the veteran actor and his group came to show a film around her area in Mushin.
6. Jide Kosoko re-married Alhaja Kareemat Kosoko and the late Henrietta Kosoko after losing his first two wives to untimely death.
7. Though, the loving mother was acting before she met her husband, it was Jide Kosoko who influenced her to go into acting full time.
8.She became famous in 1995, when she played the lead in the movie ‘Omolade‘.
9. Henrietta had a set of twins, Taiye and Kehinde from a previous marriage.
10. Until her death, she managed her son’s (L.T) music career.

11. Last year, she was involved in a ghastly motor accident along Sagamu-Abeokuta road that almost took her life.
12. Her son, L.T(Taiwo) dedicated one of his tracks, Delta to his mom who survived an auto crash.
13. Henrietta Kosoko, last week celebrated her 53rd birthday.
14. Sadly, the 53-year-old actress passed away earlier today after she slummed at home and was was rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.
15. According to a source close to the family, she was battling with diabetics before she slummed and went into comma.
May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.

Over the years this trucks that belongs to the richest man in Africa have claim more lives in the history of road accidents than others. 90% of accidents involving Dangote trucks always end with high fatality rate and the worst of it all is that this drivers don't show remorse or improvement in their reckless driving.
Each time they are involved in an accident they just took to their heels especially on high ways.. And the worst part of it is that our law enforcement agents won't dare them or arrest their trucks for reckless driving unlike the way they treat other truck drivers. And this has made those bastards claim so many lives on the road.

Even when they have minor breakdown on the road they just abandon their truck at the inconvenience of other road users for weeks or even months before it is removed. All this reckless attitude needs to be addressed because it's already out of hand.
