adechi:point of correction.i didn't say jesus was born on december 25.the birth day of jesus christ is unknown. |
1. Jesus is the reason for the season. The primary purpose for observing Christmas is remembering Jesus’s birth. At Christmas, we celebrate Jesus’s birthday, not the little drummer boy or Santa Claus! 2. Jesus preexisted with God in the beginning before the world began. Jesus’s birth as a baby in a Bethlehem manger doesn’t mark the beginning of his existence. Rather, as John’s Gospel teaches explicitly (John 1:1, 14) and the other Gospels imply, Jesus took on human flesh in addition to existing eternally as part of the Godhead. 3. Jesus’s birth was the culmination of centuries of messianic expectations. Jesus’s coming occurred in fulfillment of messianic expectations including his birthplace, virgin birth, and other details surrounding his advent. Later, during his earthly ministry and particularly in his death on the cross, Jesus fulfilled many more messianic patterns and predictions. 4. We should distinguish between cultural and biblical Christmas. We must separate fact from fiction, and historic, biblical truths from mere Christmas traditions. This includes Santa Claus, presents, reindeer, Christmas trees, and other paraphernalia. Not that these customs are necessarily harmful or unhelpful but they are unhistorical. Jesus’s birth, however, isn’t a legend; it’s historical fact. 5. Jesus’s birth is part of a larger cluster of events that culminates in Jesus's death for our sins as God’s suffering servant. Jesus wasn’t only born as a baby, he grew up as a young man who knew the Scriptures. Then, when he was about thirty years old, he began his public ministry, healing many, exorcising demons, raising the dead, and commanding the forces of nature. In keeping with his own predictions, he died, was buried, and after three days rose from the dead. While at Christmas we celebrate Jesus’s birth, we should remember that it is part of a life unlike any other that brought us salvation and forgiveness from sins. While at Christmas we celebrate Jesus’s birth, we should remember that it is part of a life unlike any other that brought us salvation and forgiveness from sins. 6. Jesus, the Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit in his mother Mary’s womb. At the heart of Christmas is a biological and theological miracle that requires supernatural faith. Skeptics scoff at the notion of God conceiving a child in a virgin’s womb, calling it a biological impossibility and dismissing it as mere legend. Believers will recognize that only a sinless human being could save humans by dying for them, and that such a sinless human being could only be conceived by God himself. 7. There is no incarnation without the virgin birth. Andrew Lincoln, in his book Born of a Virgin?, has argued that the virgin birth is unhistorical while asserting that the incarnation could still be true in a spiritual sense. This, however, is contrary to scriptural teaching, which keeps the virgin birth and the incarnation together as two sides of one and the same coin. Only a virgin birth allows Jesus to be the God-man who combines two natures—human and divine—into one person as the early church councils went on record as affirming. 8. Jesus’s birth was accompanied by rejection. Herod tried to kill Jesus (Matt. 2:16). There was no place for Jesus in the inn (Luke 2:7). Even though the world was made through Jesus, the world didn’t recognize him (John 1:11). Many didn’t welcome the birth of the Christ child. The reason for this was primarily that Jesus threatened people’s self-interest. Sinful people love sin more than God and refuse to come to the light lest their sin be exposed (John 3:19– 21). |

Malo – Tiwa Savage x Wizkid: Almost Everything about Malo is royalty. Queen Tiwa and the golden boy, Wizkid made a deluxe visual to their master piece. The Meji Alabi directed video is a beauty to watch. Ponmile – Reminisce: Reminisce pulled a brilliant surprise with Ponmile, having made it an alternative record instead of his usual indigenous rap music. The visual of the song was even more brilliant with the way it captured the theme of the song. Thanks to input of Odunlade, Lota Chukwu and of course, Clarence. El Chapo – D’Banj ft. Gucci Mane x Wande Coal: From the picture quality to the luxurious show; the visual perfectly captures the gangster lifestyle that the song describes. D’Banj, Gucci Mane and Wande Coal fit into the boss-like character well. No doubt, the video is of international standard. Fall – Davido: It is difficult to keep thing simple when you have a bag full of coins. Kudos to Davido, he kept the video simple in terms of flashlights and gadgetry; instead all the beauty of the visual was concentrated on the theatrics. Davido might even get a movie role for it. Here To Stay – Debie Rise: Big Brother Naija singing darling, Debie Rise couldn’t have had a better video for her inspirational song, Here To Say. There is just so much in the video that one can find inspiring. Great piece! No Forget – AdekunleGold x Simi: Simi and Adekunle Gold certainly brought the chemistry used in recording the song to the visual. The storyline of the Clarence Peters montage was centered on two lovers who would have to survive all types of challenges thrown at their relationship. No Forget has a beautiful concept and great acting. Uncle Suru – Jon Ogah ft. AdekunleGold x Simi: Jon Ogah’s Uncle Suru is one song that didn’t take long to gain acceptance. Thanks to a flawless visual, the artiste was able to get his message of hope and perseverance across to many listeners and viewers. Romeo & Juliet – Johnny Drille: The video is a continuity of a tragic love story that desperately needs a happy ending from Drille’s Wait For Me visual. Set in the early 90s, in this video, the singer continues to cope with life without his true love that died from a brief illness. Retired from the army, he finds himself unavoidably attached to a female Mechanic. Yolo Yolo – Seyi Shay: A beach setting, playful mood and a sprinkle of effect, was all Meji Alabi needed to make this beautiful video. As usual, Seyi Shay didn’t need to try so hard to set the Yolo Yolo groove. The Caribbean feel of the song was perfectly portrayed when shooting this visual especially with the costume. Folashade – Praiz: The dark synergy of Praiz and Toni Tones on this video made it an outstanding piece. The strong emotion of the song was evident in the video. This video shows another way to tell a tragic story without giving it all out for the eyes to see. Folashade is no doubt an award-winning video. 1 Understand the process. Guestbooks rely on script files in order to collect and display responses. Since you don"t have the ability to upload scripts to Blogger blogs, you"ll need to link to a guestbook that is hosted on another site. This will require you to create an account on this site so that you can manage and store your guestbook. There are free and paid options, depending on your needs. You"ll be generating your guestbook on another website, and then copying the code for the book into a new page on your blog. 2 Decide on a guestbook service. There are a variety of different services available that can generate and host a guestbook. Different services will offer different features. A few of the most popular services are listed below, and most are free: Bravenet - Bravenet.com offers free guestbooks, and you can choose different designs and add smilies for guests to use. The Bravenet guestbook will appear directly on your blog. Bravenet gives you the most control over your guestbook design out of all of the options listed here. 123Guestbook - This free guestbook only takes a few moments to setup, but offers less customization than Bravenet. Ultraguest - This guestbook has a lot of moderation features, including private messaging. SnapHost - SnapHost is a paid guestbook service that offers CAPTCHA and anti-spam functions. It"s actually a CAPTCHA service first and foremost that includes a guestbook among its features. Choose this option if the other features appeal to you as well, otherwise it"s probably not worth it for just the guestbook. 3 Create an account. All of the services listed above require you to create an account. You"ll use this account to manage your guestbook settings, since they can"t be managed from your blog. This is because the actual guestbook database is located on the guestbook service"s servers. You"ll be prompted to enter your blog"s address when creating your account. This will allow the service to connect to assign the guestbook to your website so that replies are properly tracked. 4 Create your guestbook. Once you have created your account, you can begin customizing your guestbook. Depending on the service, you may have to open the guestbook"s control panel. For example, 123Guestbook will send you the link to the control panel in your registration confirmation email. If you"re using Bravenet, you"ll need to click the "More Web Tools" link on your dashboard, and then click "Register" next to "Guestbook". 5 Customize your guestbook. Use the guestbook editor or control panel to customize it to your liking. If you"re using Bravenet, you can edit all of the colors so that it matches the theme of your Blogger blog exactly. You can typically choose from a variety of preset themes that will make setting up the guestbook quicker. 6 Get the link to the guestbook. Get the code for your guestbook. After you"ve finished customizing your guestbook, you"ll want to grab the embed code for it so that you can add it to your blog. In Bravenet, click the "Get Code" link to open a new window. Select "Get Code to Embed" and then [1]copy the code from the box. If you selected 123Guestbook, you"ll need to create a link to the guestbook"s URL. You can find the code for the link in the "Extras" section control panel menu. The National Chairman of Northern Nigeria Union,
Professor Ango Abdulahi has explained why
President Muhammadu Buhari might not get
automatic ticket for second term.
According to him, Buhari’s endorsement and adoption
for a second term in office by some Northern
elements was not automatic ticket.
Abdulahi spoke Wednesday at a news conference in
Abuja on the Union’s readiness to host the 5th
Commemorative lecture in honour of late Dr. Olusola
Saraki holding November 27 at International
Conference Centre, ICC.
He said Buhari must earn the endorsement of the
North, stressing, “Well, do not expect that the fact
that Buhari is of the northern extraction will automatic
translate to satisfying every aspiration, yearning of
the nooks and crannies of northern Nigeria.
“In any case, he was not elected exclusively by
northerners. He was elected by all Nigerians
irrespective of the number of votes he got in different
parts of the country.
Ango Abdullahi
“The election was one to elect the President of
Nigeria and this is what has happened regards of
how we feel in other parts of the country. Like I told,
a few days ago, I was arguing about the issue of
marginalization in my interview with Biafra Radio,
Germany. People should expect rewards from vote
they have cast. Of course, 81 percent of the Buhari’s
votes came from the north.
“So, we should expect 81 percent of all shares of
government to come to us but that’s not being
realistic.
“That’s not what our constitution also says. So, the
president I think has done extremely well in terms of
his outreach to all parts of Nigeria irrespective of the
votes he got in the last election.
“We may complain a little bit, some of us in the
north. That’s legitimate politics. He himself admitted, I
think, today that some party supporters that were
expecting rewards for their support have not realized
their aspirations.
“He was aware of this but I think that he has kept to
the promise of he is the president of Nigeria. He
belongs to all Nigerians. So, we take it that he doesn’t
belong to the north or any particular person.
“He belongs to no one. I think that we should take it
that he is the president of the federal republic of
Nigeria and he will serve in the best interest of
Nigeria. Well, there are shortcomings and we hope
that someday, it will be made up”.Read More |

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/b8/Skenes_gland.jpg/692px-Skenes_gland.jpg Female Ejaculation is characterized as an expulsion of fluid from or near the vagina during or before an orgasm. It is also known colloquially as squirting or [1]gushing, although these are considered to be [2]different phenomena in some research publications. To date, there have been no conclusive or major studies relating to female ejaculation. Much of the problem in arriving at a consensus relates to a failure to adopt generally agreed-on definitions or research methodology. Research has used highly selected individuals, case studies, or very small numbers of subjects, making generalization difficult. Most of the research into the nature of the fluid focuses on determining whether it is or contains urine. Some believe the fluid is secreted by the paraurethral ducts through and around the human female urethra, but the exact source and nature of the fluid continue to be a topic of debate among medical professionals, which is also related to doubts over the existence of the center of gravity. Reports In questionnaire surveys, 35–50% of women report that they have at some time experienced the gushing [3][4][5]of fluid during orgasm. Other studies find anywhere from 10–69%, depending on the definitions [6][7]and methods used. For instance Kratochvíl (1994) surveyed 200 women and found that 6% reported ejaculating, an additional 13% had some experience and about 60% reported release of fluid without [8]actual gushing. Reports on the volume of fluid [9]expelled vary considerably starting from amounts that would be imperceptible to a woman, to mean [10]values of 1–5 ml. The suggestion that women can expel fluid from their genital area as part of sexual arousal has been described by women's health writer Rebecca Chalker as "one of the most hotly debated questions in [11]modern sexology". Female ejaculation has been discussed in anatomical, medical, and biological literature throughout recorded history. The reasons for the interest in female ejaculation has been [12]questioned by feminist writers. Western literature 16th to 18th century In the 16th century, the Dutch physician Laevinius Lemnius, referred to how a woman "draws forth the [13]man's seed and casts her own with it". In the 17th century, François Mauriceau described glands at the urethral meatus that "pour out great quantities of saline liquor during coition, which increases the heat [14]and enjoyment of women". This century saw an increasing understanding of female sexual anatomy [15]and function, in particular the work of the Bartholin family in Denmark. De Graaf In the 17th century, the Dutch anatomist Regnier de Graaf wrote an influential treatise on the reproductive organs Concerning the Generative Organs of Women which is much cited in the literature on this topic. De Graaf discussed the original controversy but [16][17]supported the Aristotelian view. He identified the source as the glandular structures and ducts surrounding the urethra. [VI:66-7]The urethra is lined by a thin membrane. In the lower part, near the outlet of the urinary passage, this membrane is pierced by large ducts, or lacunae, through which pituito-serous matter occasionally discharges in considerable quantities. Between this very thin membrane and the fleshy fibres we have just described there is, along the whole duct of the urethra, a whitish membranous substance about one finger-breadth thick which completely surrounds the urethral canal... The substance could be called quite aptly the female 'prostatae' or 'corpus glandulosum', 'glandulous body'...The function of the 'prostatae' is to generate a pituito-serous juice which makes women more libidinous with its pungency and saltiness and lubricates their sexual parts in agreeable fashion during coitus. [VII:81] The discharge from the female 'prostatae' causes as much pleasure as does that from the male 'prostatae' He identified [XIII:212] the various controversies regarding the ejaculate and its origin, but stated he believed that this fluid "which rushes out with such impetus during venereal combat or libidinous imagining" was derived from a number of sources, including the vagina, urinary tract, cervix and uterus. He appears to identify Skene's ducts, when he writes [XIII: 213] "those [ducts] which are visible around the orifice of the neck of the vagina and the outlet of the urinary passage receive their fluid from the female 'parastatae', or rather the thick membranous body around the urinary passage." However he appears not to distinguish between the lubrication of the perineum during arousal and an orgasmic ejaculate when he refers to liquid "which in libidinous women often rushes out at the mere sight of a handsome man." Further on [XIII:214] he refers to "liquid as usually comes from the pudenda in one gush." However, his prime purpose was to distinguish between generative fluid and pleasurable fluid, in his stand on the Aristotelian semen controversy. 19th century Krafft-Ebing's study of sexual perversion, Psychopathia Sexualis (1886), describes female ejaculation under the heading "Congenital Sexual Inversion in Women" as a perversion related to [18]neurasthenia and homosexuality. the intersexual gratification among ...women seems to be reduced to kissing and embraces, which seems to satisfy those of weak sexual instinct, but produces in sexually neurasthenic females ejaculation It is also described by Freud in pathological terms in his study of Dora (1905), where he relates it to [19]hysteria. The pride taken by women in the appearance of their genitals is quite a special feature of their vanity; and disorders of genitals which they think calculated to inspire feelings of repugnance or even disgust have an incredible power of humiliating them, of lowering their self-esteem, and of making them irritable, sensitive, and distrustful. An abnormal secretion of the mucous membrane of the vagina is looked upon as source of disgust. However, women's writing of that time portrayed this in more positive terms. Thus we find Almeda Sperry writing to Emma Goldman in 1918, about the [12][20]"rhythmic spurt of your love juices". Anatomical knowledge was also advanced by Alexander Skene's description of para-urethral or periurethral glands (glands around the urethra) in 1880, which have been variously claimed to be one source of the fluids in the ejaculate, and now [commonly referred to as the Skene's glands. The Benue State government has described as
false and mischievous the report that a 56-year-
Fulani herdsman, Mohammed Abdulkadire,
reportedly jumped into River Benue in Logo Local
Government Area of Benue State over his
missing cows.
The state said it was a propaganda aimed at getting
public sympathy by the herders.
The National Coordinator of Miyietti Allah Cattle
Breeders Association of Nigeria, Benue State chapter,
Garus Gololo, had claimed that Abdulkadire allegedly
committed suicide after he lost 200 of his cows to
hunger and lack of water following the
implementation of its anti-open grazing law.
Reacting however, Tever Akase, Chief Press Secretary
to Governor Samuel Ortom asked the general public
to disregard the report.
He said, “We have read in today’s newspaper, the
unfounded report credited to one Garus Gololo, who
is a member of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders
Association in Benue State, that a Fulani cattle owner
in Logo Local Government Area of the state a few
days ago jumped into River Benue over alleged loss
of some of his cows.
“In the same report, Gololo raised alarm that Fulani
cattle breeders have already lost over 600 cows in
Benue State since the Open Grazing Prohibition and
Ranches Establishment Law came into effect on
November 1.
“This alarm, is the height of falsehood and one in a
series of organised blackmail and propaganda by
those who are opposed to the ranching law of Benue
State.
“We have contacted the police and other security
agencies but there is no confirmation that a Fulani
cattle owner jumped into the river in Logo or any
other part of Benue state.
“Similarly, there is no confirmation by security
agencies that 600 cows owned by Fulanis are
missing.
“While urging the public to disregard the report, we
advise journalists covering Benue State to carry out
thorough investigation into sensitive matters of
security before publishing their reports. This will
reduce unnecessary tension in the society.
“The Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches
Establishment Law was enacted to end frequent
invasion of Benue communities and killing of innocent
people by herdsmen and the law has been accepted
locally and internationally as the best route to peace
and stability.
“Implementation of the law has so far proven that it
is indeed the people’s legislation. We thank Benue
people and other Nigerians for the support given the
government of the state for the success of the law.
The Samuel Ortom administration remains committed
to the task of guaranteeing the security of lives and
property.” |
For believers, there is no substitute for attending church. Besides something that pleases God, it is necessary for a believer's spiritual well-being. For shut-ins or invalids who aren't able to go to church, the ministries on radio or TV might be the only kind of fellowship or spiritual nourishment that they get. God certainly understands the circumstances of these people, and recognizes the sincerity of their hearts. However, it is a different matter for those who could attend church but are too lazy, or put other things such as entertainment and amusements before God, or who harbor bitterness or indifference toward other believers. It is important to attend church for the following reasons: (1) It is an Expression of our Love for God Going to church is a visible, tangible expression of our love and worship toward God. It is where we can gather with other believers to publicly bear witness of our faith and trust in God, something that is required of all Christians (Matt. 10:32-33) -- and it is where we can bring Him offerings of praise, thanks, and honor, which are pleasing to Him. The psalmist wrote, "I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will praise You" (Psa. 22:22). People are often motivated toward church attendance for how it will bless themselves, however we should remember that the primary purpose of the corporate gathering is to bring "service" to the Lord as a blessing to Him (Psa. 134:2). Indeed, the Lord is deserving of our time and energy to honor Him with our service of devotion. "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created" (Rev. 4:11). (2) It builds up our Spiritual Strength Receiving the preaching and teaching of the Word of God increases our faith and builds us up spiritually. Every believer knows what it is to face spiritual conflicts to their faith, and must realize the importance of being fed spiritually so that they can overcome the challenges. Paul states that Christians face a wrestling match with the Devil and his evil spiritual forces, and warns that the church must put on spiritual armor for protection, as it will take everything at our disposal to stand (Eph. 6:10-18). How important that we take every opportunity available to receive ministry and strength from God's Word. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Rom. 10:17). (3) It brings a special visitation of the Lord's Presence There is the promise of a special visitation of the Lord's presence whenever two or more gather specifically in the name of Jesus. By implication, this means whenever "Jesus" is the object of gathered prayer, worship, praise, preaching, etc. Even though Jesus resides within the heart of every believer, he honors a gathering in his name by coming in the "midst," with his power, awareness, and anointing. In such a gathering, Christ is able to do things in hearts that he may not at any other time. The scripture says that God inhabits the praise of His people (Psa. 22:3), and in such an atmosphere the Holy Spirit will often manifest spiritual gifts that minister to the body of Christ. "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them" (Matt. 18:20). (4) It provides fellowship with other Christians Gathering together also has compounded importance to the relationship of the Christian brethren. The Bible makes it clear that a right relationship with God requires a "vertical" and "horizontal" alignment -- that is, we must have a vertical fellowship with God and a horizontal fellowship with other believers. It is not possible to love God and refuse to love the brethren. If you have a problem loving other Christians, you have a problem in your relationship with God. Scripture warns us that unforgiveness toward others will void God's forgiveness of our own sins (Matt. 6:15). John wrote, "He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him" (1 John 2:9-10). One of the most important reasons that we go to church is to practice love toward the brethren in the form of fellowship. The Bible clearly shows that if we have a right relationship with God, we have fellowship with others believers. "But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1:7). Keeping ourselves in love and harmony with other believers keeps us humble before God so that Christ's blood can continue to cleanse us from our sins. (5) It is an act of obedience to God Not to be forgotten, going to church is also a matter of obeying God's Word. The writer of the Hebrew epistle tells us not to forsake assembling together, implying that continued absence can lead to willful sin. "And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins," (Heb. 10:24-26). Once again, we are reminded that a great part of the purpose of the gathering is for the consideration of our brethren, coming together to help motivate and encourage one another. This is a responsibility charged to every believer. To reject church attendance, is a rejection of one of the sacred duties of the believer. "Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin" (James 4:17). (6) It provides accountability to spiritual leadership More strong evidence that proves that we're to be a part of a church fellowship, is that we're told to submit to the authority of spiritual leaders (within the boundaries of God's Word). "Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you" (Heb. 13:17). God designed this system of accountability for the progress and protection of His flock. Obviously, this really isn't possible unless we are a part of an organized fellowship which has identified elders, pastors, or leaders. It is easy to see that one cannot genuinely be under submission to a TV pastor who has never met you. Nor is it possible to be under submission by visiting a different church each week. The Bible tells us to know them that are over us in the Lord (1 Thes. 5:12). Submission necessitates a commitment and relationship to a local body of believers and to their spiritual leaders. (7) It combines our spiritual strength in prayer The Bible indicates that agreement in prayer with other believers has special favor with God. "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven" (Matt. 18:19). There is multiplied strength in the combined faith of God's people, and it is clear that greater spiritual gains can be realized through corporate prayer and worship. This agrees with how God has historically blessed the union of His people in battle against their enemies. "Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you" (Lev. 26: .( It honors the Lord's DayThe fourth commandment of the law that God gave Moses was to set aside the seventh day of the week, Saturday, as a holy day to the Lord. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy" (Ex. 20: . This was, andwill always remain, the official Sabbath. However, after Jesus rose from the dead on the first day of the week, Sunday, the early Christians began meeting together on this day as well as with the Jewish community in the synagogues on the Sabbath. History indicates that due to the enmity of the orthodox Jews toward the Christian Jews in their midst, the Jewish Christians were eventually ostracized. And although they were no longer bound to a rigid code of laws (Gal. 3:10-11, Col. 2:16), it is believed that they came to view Sunday as a combined observance of the Sabbath and the resurrection day of Jesus (Acts 20:7, 1 Cor. 16:2). This day of Christian worship came to be called the Lord's Day (Rev. 1:10), a day to fellowship in celebration of the resurrection, to worship, pray and study the Word together. Today, the Christian Jew or gentile, is free from the bondage of the old law. The indwelling of God's spirit has brought a new way for Christians to fulfill the desires of God through His love (Gal. 5:18, Rom. 13:8-10). However, the new covenant does not invalidate the relevance of the ten commandments as they pertained to God's wishes for His people. As much as it remains God's desire for man not to kill, steal or commit adultery, God is still very much pleased for believers to honor Him on a day reserved for Him, out of their love for Him and His people. |
1. Sunday school provides a structure for teaching God’s Word. Preaching isn’t enough. A systematic teaching of the Scriptures – not just preaching (Acts 5:42) needs to occur through all age levels. Children, youth, and adults need opportunities for discovery, review, and interaction as they study God’s principles. Sunday school meets needs! 2. Sunday school gears Bible teaching to a specific age group (Deut. 31:12). It means a wiggly four- year-old can discover great biblical truth by acting out a Bible story, completing dot-to-dot pictures, singing fun songs, and obeying parents. During the same hour, senior adults may discuss whether their relationship with their spouse or responses to daily crises reflect their trust in God. Both age groups leave Sunday school with specific applications for the week. 3. Sunday school mobilizes and trains laity for leadership. It’s difficult to say who benefits more, the teacher or the student. The teacher’s Bible knowledge and care grows… his or her life is changed… a stretching occurs as leadership skills are developed. Students learn and are challenged, but how much more is that true in the life of the teacher 4. The Sunday school is discipleship! Every shepherd/teacher must have a desire to see each student in his/her flock have a spiritual life change. Since discipleship is “teaching to obey all I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:20), it’s not merely teaching facts, but teaching obedience. While there are man styles of discipleship (one- on-one, small group, etc.) Sunday school is the group discipleship that is entry-level. It’s the “next step” after attending morning worship. From Sunday schools can develop small cell groups – discipleship. Since many people who attend church are not in a one-on-one or small group discipleship, an effective Sunday school is a form of “Discipleship 101.” 5. Sunday school is convenient. With the work, family and activity schedules of many church members, it is easier to come to church one hour earlier or love one hour later than to arrange another night out during the week. Also by having it on Sunday the children can be taught while the adults are learning. Parents who skip Sunday school in favor of mid-week small group often overlook the valuable “teaching times” their children miss by receiving “child-care” during the week rather than “teaching” in children’s Sunday school. 6. Sunday school organizes the church into caring groups. The teacher becomes a shepherd for the class, an extension of the pastor’s ministry. Where the pastor finds it impossible to know all the needs of the congregation, Sunday school teachers (shepherds) know when someone is absent or hurting and can express love personally. 7. Sunday school leads the church in prayer and relationships. From the preschool class through all the adult classes, prayer is directed toward the specific needs of the class members. Often the lass not only prays, but has an opportunity to respond to specific needs. Fellowship and informal conversations flow easily in small groups where care is expressed and people know your name and your needs. 8. Sunday school focuses on outreach to peers and friends. In a small group setting, where warmth and love flow and topics are non- threatening, class members are encouraged to invite fellow-employees or friends from school. Class socials and activities can focus on community outreach through social or ministry events. 9. Sunday school lets the church do all the above with consistency. Sunday school is one of the most consistent programs in the church. It doesn’t stop for the summer and rarely for holidays. Sunday after Sunday its dedicated staff leads the church in this most important ministry. |

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Ebonyi
chapter, has vowed to support the re-election of
President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
Acting chairman of the party, Eze Nwachukwu, who
made this statement on Thursday, said the party took
the decision after close assessment of the
achievements of the current administration.
He cited the achievement of the party in areas of job
creation, economic revitalisation, agricultural
revolution and war against corruption.
According to him, it is natural for the party to back
Buhari, so as to consolidate on the gains so far
achieved.
“We have assessed the achievements of the present
administration and have come to an undeniable truth
that Mr President has done so much in areas of
physical infrastructure, war against financial graft, job
creation, economic repositioning among others”, he
said.
“It is only natural that the President is given another
opportunity to consolidate on the gains so far made
in enthroning genuine democracy and putting the
nation’s economy on the paths of economic growth.
“We are going to mobilise both party and non-party
members to support Buhari for second term.
“We are only praying that Mr President will listen to
the popular voices calling on him to throw himself in
for re-election in order complete the good work that
his administration has started”.
Nwachukwu claimed that the APC was `robbed’ of
electoral victory in Ebonyi in 2015, but assured that it
would have a clean sweep at the governorship and
presidential polls in the state in 2019.
“We are set to take over the Government House in
Abakaliki by 2019 and APC will have 100 per cent
votes cast in both the governorship and presidential
elections.” |

People have been left in serious fear after a ‘scary’ world war II bomb was discovered in a city in Germany. Almost 10,000 people were forced to leave their homes in central Potsdam on Wednesday as authorities defuse a World War II bomb. The 250-kilogramme U.S. aerial bomb was found on Monday on the grounds of a bank opposite the city’s main train station, resulting in the cancellation of rail and public transport services during the peak-hour period. The authorities cleared an area of about 800 metres around where the bomb was located in the centre of the city, just south-west of the Berlin city limits. Businesses and services within the evacuation zone were affected, including several nursing homes, schools and daycare nurseries as well a large hotel, a swimming pool and the regional parliament building. World War II, also known as the Second World War, was a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945, although related conflicts began earlier. It involved the vast majority of the world’s countries —including all of the great powers—eventually forming two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis. It was the most widespread war in history, and directly involved more than 100 million people from over 30 countries.https://www.tori.ng/userfiles/image/2017/nov/08/World-War-II-bomb.jpg https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2017/03/03/07/3DE7BB2700000578-0-image-a-5_1488525911217.jpg |
