The people of Aba, a suburb of Ado Ekiti capital city are now living fear and panic, as a middle-aged man, Mr. Sunday Olorunleke, was reportedly stabbed to death by unidentified persons.

According to the report; that the man was alone in the house when the incident happened. “The wife of the deceased put a call across to some of the neighbors on Thursday when she could not reach her husband on phone and they informed her that they saw him that very day.

“We were shocked after the wife arrived yesterday (Saturday) morning and met the door closed and sought the assistance of people to break the door where she found her husband corpse on the floor lying in a pool of his own blood.”

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Ekiti State, Caleb Ikechukwu, confirmed the killing. The police spokesman advised residents of the state to monitor strange faces and movements within their neighborhood and report to the police for immediate action.

Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said the Buhari administration will not give up on the safe return of Leah Sharibu, the student of Government Girls Science and Technical Secondary School, Dapchi, who was kidnapped by a faction of Boko Haram terrorists in February 2018.

Shehu said: ‘‘Instead of giving up, the government is carrying forward processes that should hopefully yield her release by her captors.” Stressing that she was alive, Shehu added, “Lines of communications remain open with the kidnappers, ISWAP, to secure the release of Leah Sharibu.

“Kidnapping for ransom should never be encouraged. This means not capitulating to the demands of terrorists: refrain from rewarding their heinous crimes with payment.

‘’With the abduction of loved family and friends, the government understands how difficult these times are for them, but government is pursuing many options to ensure the safe return of Leah Sharibu. ‘‘Kidnapping for ransom is rising across the Sahel. We must – collectively – make sure we implement best practice to prevent its exploitation,’’ he said.

A Nigerian lady 'disappeared' after kind-hearted Nigerians reached out to her following lpsuicidal posts she shared on Facebook over an alleged repeated abuse in her marriage.

Eze Eberechukwu Praise had threatened to kill herself alongside her son as she won't leave him behind to go through verbal abuses. She also pleaded to be buried in her father's house to avoid wrecking havoc after her death.

A 31 year old upcoming Nigerian artiste simply identified as Adeolu, has died after suffering a stroke recently.

Publisher, Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa, took to his Facebook page to mourn Ade who a few weeks ago, asked for assistance in getting a new job as his current job as a marketer was ''stressful''. According to Abubakar, Ade suffered a stroke, was in coma for three days and then died. Read what Abubakar wrote below

Oluwole Ilesanmi, 64, has welcomed the payout by the Metropolitan Police as a victory for freedom of speech after he was wrongly accused of Islamophobia. He admitted to having described Islam as an ‘aberration’ but insists he was simply expressing his point of view as a Christian rather than denigrating Muslims. One of the police officers claimed Mr. Ilesanmi was disturbing the peace, saying: ‘No one wants to hear that. They want you to go away.’

He was handcuffed before the officer gave a thumbs-up to the camera. Mr. Ilesanmi was then bundled into a police car and driven several miles away. There the grandfather was ‘de-arrested’ and let out of the car.

Scotland Yard has now agreed to pay Mr. Ilesanmi £2,500 for wrongful arrest and his humiliating and distressing treatment. Mr. Ilesanmi told UK's The Mail on Sunday:

‘I believe God loves everyone, including Muslims, but I have the right to say I that I don’t agree with Islam we are living in a Christian country, after all. I was upset when they took away my Bible. They just threw it in the police car. They would never have done that if it had been the Koran. Whatever happened to freedom of speech?’
