Politics / Court Dismisses Suit Against Acting CJN, Tanko Over "Age Falsification" by Adeitanajoke(f): 1:56pm On May 31, 2019
A Federal High Court sitting in Jabi area of Abuja has dismissed a suit alleging that the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) falsified his age.

The plaintiff, Mr Tochi Michael alleged that the acting CJN, Justice Tanko Mohammed reduced his age by three years.

Mr Michael alleged that the acting CJN was born on December 31, 1950, and has instead been using December 31, 1953, as his date of birth.

Justice Danlami Senchi while dismissing the suit on Friday said the plaintiff does not have a locus standi to file such a suit as he has not shown how the allegations of falsification of age will cause him any personal injury over and above the general public of Nigerians.

The court also held that the plaintiff did not disclose how he came about the fact that the acting CJN falsified his age as there is no document or evidence before the court to prove that the acting CJN falsified his age.

The trial judge Justice Danlami Senchi said the suit in its entity was meant to scandalise, destroy and malign the acting CJN.

Justice Senchi said such act is capable of bringing the judiciary to disrepute and cannot be allowed to go unpunished.

The court also awarded a cost of N10million against the plaintiff which must be paid within the next three weeks.

Health / Wonderful Moment Mum Gives Birth In Car In The Presence Of Her Crying Children by Adeitanajoke(f): 1:02am On May 27, 2019
A mum gave birth in the car in the presence of her kids as they journeyed to the hospital. Her children's reaction to witnessing the birth of their younger sibling is quite interesting to watch.

The woman was riding shotgun while her husband drove her and their kids to the hospital. In the back seat were their three kids, two girls and a boy, eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby.

But the baby couldn't wait to get to the hospital and made an entrance while they were in the car.

As the mother cried out in agony while pushing, her kids also cried in confusion. The baby girl eventually arrived in the car and the father had to drive faster to get them to the hospital.

Politics / I Regret Not Achieving Everything I Wanted To Do - Governor Ajimobi "Eight Years by Adeitanajoke(f): 10:20am On May 25, 2019
Governor Ajimobi says his only regret while in power for eight years was his inability to do everything he wanted for the state.

Speaking with journalists on Friday after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari at the state house in Abuja, the governor said the people resisted the changes he wanted to make in the state even though it was for their good.“I think I regret the fact, that, I have not been able to do everything I wanted to do,” the governor said.

“I wish our people could be more understanding, could be more patient. Any time you try to make a change, people resist change even if it’s good for them. I wish I had been in politics 20 years ago. “At a time, Oyo state was seen as what you call a garrison state, but today, it is one of the peaceful states in Nigeria.”

”I want to thank President Buhari for the support he has given all the states particularly during the period of scarcity of funds to execute our projects, to pay salaries, to meet the socioeconomic development demands,” he said. “He was on hand to help all of us. He supported us by releasing funds to all of us and as at today, that I am talking, most of the states including Oyo, are not owing salaries.

“He also assisted us with social infrastructure. That is why I am here to thank Mr. President because in another two days I am going for Umrah (lesser Hajj) and by the time I come back, I won’t be in office as governor.”

Some students in Caleb University, Lagos State, are currently rioting within the school premises. The undergraduates went on a rampage after the school's management introduced new rules which they found ridiculous.

According to the students, one of the new rules prohibits male and female students from hanging out after 7pm. Another rule insists the students must go to the church within the school premises to get a pass before they can leave campus.
