The biggest problem with the youth nowadays is that they are easily intoxicated with small money & they smoke too much marijuana. Pathetic!

You know the problem with the youth nowadays? They’re YOUNG!

Olamide was my favorite artiste last year. I tirelessly danced to shakiti bobo. But I detest when a kid allow luxury to get into his head.

Most youths of nowadays are so disrespectful. They have no regard for elders. Luxury and fame intoxicates them. We live in a decaying age.

Celebrities / “media Chat Exposed Buhari’s Undemocratic Character”- PDP by adenaijblog: 2:52pm On Dec 31, 2015
Read the press statement fromPDP below…
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says President Muhammadu Buhari’s responses at the Wednesday Presidential Media Chat were not only embarrassing but also further exposed his undemocratic character as an unrepentant tyrant who has no regard for the rule of law and the self-worth of Nigerian citizens.
The party, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, on Thursday also said the President confirmed his partisanship in the much-vaunted war against corruption by openly absolving his ministers and party members of corrupt practices.
“Whilst we restate our respect for the person and office of the President, we note that President Buhari bared his true colours to the world as an unrepentant tyrant. Today, the world is no longer in doubt as to who is behind the prevailing recklessness, abuse of rights of citizens and outright flouting of judicial pronouncements by security agencies.
“A situation where the President openly pronounced persons facing trial guilty and sanctioned their continued incarceration despite being granted bail by the courts, presents a dangerous fascist practice obtainable only in totalitarian societies like Mussolini’s Italy, Hitler’s Germany, Idi Amin’s Uganda and General Than Shwe’s Burma.
“This extremely shocking dictatorial tendency being brazenly exhibited by the President in total disdain for our laws and judicial institutions portends great danger for our democracy and constitutionally-guaranteed rights of the people, and should be resisted by the citizens before it festers.
“The scorn for the principle of separation of powers, especially the independence of the legislature, is further manifested in the declared craving to regulate the funding and running of the National Assembly, a matter constitutionally vested outside the jurisdiction of the executive. We are most uncomfortable about his attempt at trying to whip up public sentiments against an independent arm of government, especially the one vested with the constitutional power of appropriation.
“Following from the foregoing, therefore, it may be necessary to suspend the application of our Constitution and allow the President to operate as maximum ruler for four years after which the nation can return to a democracy.
“On the issue of the Chibok girls, President Buhari’s embarrassing declaration of seeking information on the whereabouts and state of the girls betrays an obvious insincerity which is in total conflict with his campaign promises in that regard. Thus by this declaration, our dear President has accepted failure on this issue and should therefore apologise to Nigerians for all the insults, abuse and aspersions cast on the past administration by himself and the leadership of his political party.
“On the issue of devaluation of the naira, there is an obvious conflict between the budget speech wherein the president stated that the government is assessing the foreign exchange rate with a view to attracting foreign investments and his categorical pronouncement during the media chat that the naira would not be devalued. We invite Nigerians to note that the president obviously does not understand the currency that applies in the devaluation of the naira (laugh out loud).
“Furthermore, Nigerians were shocked by the President’s labeling Nigerians as ‘very difficult lot’ while responding to questions on the strategy to be adopted in implementing his promised N5,000 social welfare package.
“This unhealthy portrayal of the citizens by the very father of the nation, who has remained unrelenting in de-marketing his country through unguarded statements, is indeed a great disservice to Nigeria and its international image. Consequently, we reject this negative labeling of our citizens and reiterate our confidence in them, especially the millions who remain honest, hardworking and credible.
“Finally, Nigerians must take copious note of the fact that the President gave no inspiring answers to questions pertaining to his campaign promises, the fight against insurgency and rescue of the Chibok girls, the poor state of the naira, sudden plunging of the economy under his watch, and the gradual loss of democratic rights and freedom.”

Crime / Rapist Caught Trying To Force Victim’s Boyfriend To Witness Assault by adenaijblog: 2:57pm On Dec 29, 2015
A quick thinking rape victim who was forced to call her boyfriend by a rapist, so that the boyfriend could hear her groaning in the act called 911 instead, the Hapeville Police said.
Police said the quick thinking by the victim helped them catch her attacker in the act.
The attack happened early Mondayin the back of an adult entertainment store.
According to the officers, the attacker, Robert Giles, 27, asked the victim to call her boyfriend so he could hear the assault,WTB-TVreported.
Instead of calling her boyfriend, she called 911. Police say the savvy 911 operator also kept his wits about him.
“It was quick thinking on his behalf. In fact, (it) might have saved her life,” Clayton County police Maj. Joe Woodall said.
Officers said Giles kidnapped the victim from Hapeville and brought her to the closed Starship Novelties and Gifts store on Tara Boulevard around 4am Monday, intending to rape her. That’s when he allegedly asked her to call her boyfriend so he could listen to the assault.
The victim called 911 and told her attacker it was her boyfriend.
Interestingly, the 911 operator played along.
“She explained to him what the perpetrator had told her that he wanted him to listen while she was being raped,” Woodall said.
The operator tried to talk the attacker out of the assault and sent policemen. They arrived on time to save the victim and arrested Giles in the act.
“They were able to stop it right then and there and snatched him right from the car,” Woodall said.
Giles now faces rape, false imprisonment and obstruction charges.
Reports show that rape and other sexual assaults occur frequently in industrialised countries, and are becoming more common throughout the world.
A United Nations statistical report compiled from government sources showed that more than 250,000 cases of rape or attempted rape were recorded by police annually. The reported data covered 65 countries.
The attitude of the police in many countries often discourages victims from reporting rape. One study in Turkey in 1999 found that 33 per cent of police officers agreed with the assertion that “some women deserve rape” and 66 per cent agreed that “the physical appearance and behaviors of women tempt men to rape http://adenaij..in/2015/12/a-quick-thinking-rape-victim-who-was.html

Politics / Those Who Can No Longer Steal Government Funds Are Behind Attacks On Us — REMITA by adenaijblog: 6:52pm On Nov 16, 2015
System Specs, a technology firm managing transactions for the Nigerian Government’s Treasury Single Account, TSA, has affirmed that the firm was being persecuted by those who can no longer steal money from the government.

Remita payment system was introduced by the company to cater for government transactions, which are now lodged in a single account.

Speaking with reporters on Sunday in Lagos, an official of SystemSpecs said most of the critiscim in the media regarding Remita were aimed at pulling down the system, adding that the ultimate target of critics is to stop the use of the TSA..

The firm observed that the negative comments were deliberately aimed at provoking politicians, who view the TSA program as a threat to their ability to siphoned public funds.

System Specs however stated that their board of trustees comprises young professionals, including a banker and former Nigerian ambassador to the UK, Christopher Kolade, and further debunked claims in certain quarters that former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu or his wife were shareholders in the company.

The firm further cleared that it was not responsible for fixing charges on transactions.

Managing Director, System Specs, John Obaro said, “We do not want to dishonor the Senate. They have raised this issue and we are preparing our adequate response. Source- http://adenaij..com
