A man trying to commit suicide was conserved after trying to jump from his bedroom window, when his wife got him by his boxer shorts. Witnesses’ state Ling Su clung on alone for about 20 minutes prior to police and firemen’s arrival. He was dangling from a 6-storey building in Changchun, Jilin district, northern China. ‘We heard a shout and screaming and there he was dangling from the window with his wife hanging onto his pants,’ said one passer-by. ‘She got a stronger hold on his leg and screamed for help. ‘We tried to get in to help her but the apartment was locked and we couldn’t break down the door,’ the eyewitnesses included. Neighbours peeped through windows to get a much better view of the sight. Rescue team managed to pull the 45-year-old Wang Li to protection, who is said to have been dispirited as he doesn’t have a Job. - See more at: http://nigeriana.org/blog/news/2013/08/02/wow-news-wife-saves-suicidal-husband-by-clinging-to-his-boxer.html/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+JobsNigeriana+%28Jobs+Nigeriana%29#.dpuf |
As we read through the New Testament we find at least four types of Christians. 1) The Dead Christian: “I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead.” – Revelation 3:1 The first type of Christian we find is one who is a Christian in name only. The Dead Christian may go to church, and may even claim to follow Christ, but hasn’t truly come to Him for forgiveness. Jesus addressed the Dead Christian in Revelation 3:2-3 when He told them, “I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent.” What is the work of God He found to be incomplete? John 6:29 tells us that “the work of God is that you believe in him whom he has sent.” And what is it we’re to believe? We find the answer to that in 1 John 5:11-13, “God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.” Once a person believes in, and calls on Christ to forgive them, they are forgiven and are “made alive” in Him (1 Cor 15:22). 2) The Bound Christian: “You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature… serve one another in love.” – Galatians 5:13a The next type of Christian we want to look at is the Bound Christian. This is a Christian who is alive in Christ, but is bound by sin, and this hinders his relationship with the Lord. Romans 6:16 warns that “when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness.” And Galatians 5:17 tells us of a battle that wages between the Spirit and the flesh. “The desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.” We follow the Spirit when we “crucify the flesh with its passions and desires” and produce the fruit of the Spirit which is “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22-24) We’ll stumble in our walk, but when we do, “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9) We don’t have to be slaves to sin. We can be slaves to righteousness if we follow the Lord’s ways. Romans 6:17-18 gives “thanks to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.” 3) The Loner Christian: “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” – Hebrews 10:22-25 The third type of Christian is the Loner Christian. The Loner Christian is alive in Christ and enjoys fellowship with God. His life is full of blessings but the Loner Christian is keeping his blessings to himself. Jesus said He came so that we “may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10) Christianity is a faith that should be lived through both our words and our actions. Jesus told Peter in John 21:17 that if he loved Him he would care for His followers. We’re all blessed with some sort of gift. Some are good at encouraging, some are able to teach, some love to pray, others have the gift of compassion. There are many different types of gifts but what they all have in common is the gifts God gives us are designed to serve others. This stands in sharp contrast to the world which put its emphasis on serving yourself. 4) The Complete Christian: “We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10 The final type of Christian we want to talk about is the Complete Christian. We call him complete because he alive in Christ, has a strong relationship with God and is a blessing to everyone around him. We are encouraged in Matthew 5:16 to “let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” We should live our lives in a way that when people see us, they see Jesus, and God is glorified. When we came to Christ we took all the blessings that go along with it. Forgiveness from sin, freedom from sin, fellowship with God and the honor of representing the living God to the dying world. My friends, let us not allow that satan, friend, even pastor, prayer warrior,prophet,e.t.c. no matter the position they are holding to deceive us and push us to a point where plea even with tears for another chance or “please LORD, I never knew that” will not be accepted by GOD. I believe that you already know or have heard what I am about to tell you severally. This statement:” DO ME and I DO YOU, GOD NO GO VEX” is not uncommon among us even in churches. It simply means that anyone that slaps, fights, curses, abuses, persecutes, prays against or bewitches us,we should return or do the same to him/her prayerfully and/or physically and by so doing,GOD will not be angry with anyone.Let me say this emphatically that DO ME and I DO YOU, GOD GO REALLY VEX.We are permitted to have only two options and we are to choose one option, nothing like we choosing the two options simultaneously or being neutral. They are : (a)You love GOD; or (b)You hate GOD If we all choose option(a) willingly, without pretence nor grumbling,we MUST not only believe in JESUS CHRIST but also follow and do all what He has commanded us in accordance to the perfect will of GOD stated expressly in the HOLY BIBLE.However,if we choose not, then we are not only against Him (JESUS CHRIST) but also He (GOD) that sent Him; though we may still call ourselves pastors, prayer warriors, prophets or Christians.—John 14:7,15,23,24 and 15:10. When JESUS CHRIST speaks,it is GOD that speaks—John 14:10. If the LORD,JESUS CHRIST said: Mat 5:43, "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' Mat 5:44, "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, Mat 5:45, "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Mat 5:46, "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? Mat 5:47, "And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Mat 5:48, "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. Mat 5:20, "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Then who is he/she in Heaven or on earth to reverse or modify this important part of the BIBLE? If we say NOBODY,why are we being used to go against what He said categorically. Some people will always have some where to quote in the BIBLE that David,Elijah and many other servants did pray, fight, strike and take revenge against their enemies,YES ! they did but remember they are called servants/men of GOD and we are talking about the LORD, JESUS CHRIST,who was before the creation of these servants of GOD and who is the everlasting King of kings.Infact, the BIBLE says in Heb 8:7, For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second and in Heb 8:13, In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. Importantly, study the words of JESUS CHRIST in reply to James and John in Luke chapter 9:53-56. Luk 9:53, But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. Luk 9:54, And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?" Luk 9:55, But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. Luk 9:56, "For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them." And they went to another village. If that is it,why do we then slap, fight, curse, abuse, persecute, pray against and pray for the death of that man or woman that does the same unto us.If we do such, then there is no difference between us, the heathen, the publicans, pharisees, and the unbelievers because they too can do the same. However, JESUS CHRIST said in Mat 5:20, "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. My beloved friends and brethren, let us change for the sake of CHRIST, for the sake of our souls and for the sake of the souls of those that do negative things in front or at our back because we believe that, For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood (i.e that man or woman) , but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (i.e the devil or satan).By so doing,we can gain them into the kingdom of GOD.Humanly and truly speaking,it is not easy but by the unmerited grace of GOD and with the help of the HOLY SPIRIT,we can do it in CHRIST JESUS. GOD BLESS YOU..................SHALOM! |
Are you a Christian just because you are in the midst of other Christians or live in a Christian environment or in an area filled only with Christians? In the Christian environment, you were fervent towards the works of GOD. You attended Christian church / fellowship services without any force from anybody .You even preached the Words of GOD through your kind and loving words unto others. You dressed modestly as a virtuous sister or brother in the sight of both GOD and the people around you. You loved to listen to Christian songs and sermons via your mobile phone. You liked to watch videos that motivated you about salvation, prayer, e.t.c. in Christ Jesus. You studied the Holy Bible regularly and lived an exemplary life before people to the extent that the people around you then believed GOD through you and prayed to exhibit such life lived by you. You even deleted on your mobile phone, never wanted to listen and danced to worldly songs…………………BUT NOW, WHAT HAS TRANSPIRED? However, GOD has now placed you, with a purpose, among the unbelievers that do not believe CHRIST JESUS as the Son of GOD or among those that profess CHRIST, even go to church but are not followers of the CHRIST in their words and characters they profess. THEN, WHY HAVE YOU RESURRECTED THE ALREADY DEAD “OLD MAN” IN YOU AND INVITED THE WORLD AND ITS WORLDLINESS TO DWELL IN AND CONTROL YOU AGAIN? You are no more steadfast to work for and walk with GOD, the Almighty. You do not attend church services without someone reminding and / or forcing you. Preaching about CHRIST to people around you has now become a thing of the past. Your words that were one time loving and kind but now exhibit hatred, venom, vendetta, or worldliness to the extent that there is no difference between you and the unbelievers around you. You now put on the attire of jezebel, harlot, or that of the world you once rejected before GOD and man. Worldly songs to sing, ****ographic pictures to see, and erotic videos to watch now fill your mobile device. You now feel ashamed to preach the gospel or distribute gospel tracts among the dying souls. The zeal to pray for yourself, not to talk of others that directly or indirectly depend on you has drastically reduced. To have sex with ladies or men around you is now your wish. The second Peter chapter 2 verses 20 to 22 say “ For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. FOR IT HAD BEEN BETTER FOR THEM NOT TO HAVE KNOWN THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THAN, AFTER THEY HAVE KNOWN IT, TO TURN FROM THE HOLY COMMANDMENT DELIVERED UNTO THEM. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. Yeah! No matter how long you have gone on the broad way, turn back now and come back to the fold or camp of Christ Jesus .The fall from grace you are experiencing now is not termed to be the END OF LIFE. You can, you can still reconcile with GOD and stand upright before Him through the grace and mercy in the blood of Christ. Jesus Christ still loves you in that very situation you are in and He wants you to be remorseful of your wrongdoings and lay aside the garments of sins through His soul-cleansing blood. Do not read tread on the road of perdition or eternal torments anymore but rather come unto JESUS CHRIST and He will help you carry your heavy laden or yoke of sins. By so doing, you shall find rest and peace in Him ( CHRIST JESUS ) MAY THE PEACE OF GOD BE UNTO YOU, THE READER OF THIS MESSAGE PLEASE SHARE THIS MESSAGE TO SAVE OR REGAIN A SOUL(S) FOR CHRIST JESUS BIBLE REFERENCES: Isa 52:11, Isa 62:10, Gal 1:10, Eph 4:29, Eph 5:1-4, 2Thes 5:17, Heb 4:16, Heb 9:27, 1Pet 1:23-25, 1Pet 2:11-12, Ezek 36:24-26, Ezek 18:20-24 Source:http://www.lastdayschristiansforum.tk/the-teachings-of-our-lord-jesus-christ/are-you-truly-a-christian-%28in-unambiguous-words%29/#.UddlVqzZbag |
