Religion / Re: 2015 Polls: Prophecies That Hit The Crossbar - Femi Adesina (the SUN) by adeniyitheprof(m): 5:25pm On Apr 17, 2015
Wuuworld:
For the much I know, non of these men prophecy openly except REV FR EJIKE MBAKA......he went to the extent of releasing the tape of the message to show dt he is very much sure of what he is saying, despite putting his dear life at Risk.......Prophets of old like Elijah, don't give their prophecies behind d pulpit, they make it known to everybody.....If the World today can have 10 people like MBAKA,I bet we gonna witness HEAVEN ON EARTH..
NEVER AGAIN WILL PROPHETS OF BAAL SPEAK TO THE AFFAIRS OF NIGERIA
GOD BLESS NIGERIA

To be honest, I did not hear the Rev's name from anyone (even Igbo friends) or newspaper nor know him anywhere before the video came out. It was the video that made me and many out there to know little about him.

My brother, Rev. Mbaka did not prophesy based on my close study of His message via the video.

I am not against him in anyway but there is a sharp dichotomy between a PREDICTION and a PROPHECY.

There is nowhere in the video even while on the pulpit that he said "Thus saith the Lord......" or "The Lord told me that....."

Not every word or statement from the mouths of pastors are directly from God. Some words may be their opinions, warnings, viewpoints, and predictions based on what is going on presently.

Rev. Mbaka did warn the congregation that should they vote for Jonathan, things like insecurity, corruption and bad economy will escalate the more.

Many did say he spoke like a political activist on that day and not like a prophet.

Remember that he was merely preaching; there was nowhere he said that the Lord told me that Jonathan will lose the election but he categorically listed out, with much emphasis, the reasons (which He wanted his members to reason along) why Jonathan SHOULD NOT be voted again. (Note the words "SHOULD NOT"wink

That was why many of his critics did say that he was merely campaigning against Jonathan but not giving prophecies from God against Jonathan as per the election.

My brother, this is just an insight of my answer I gave someone who attacked the Reverend.
The person said the same Rev. Mbaka prophesied that a Governor will not win an election but the Governor won and that Rev. Mbaka then prophesied Jonathan's election loss with precision. He then asked: Are Rev. Mbaka's prophecies based on guesswork?

The person made these statements while I was trying to differentiate between a PROPHECY (which must come to pass and it is from God, speaking His mind) and a PREDICTION (which may/may not occur just like football match prediction and it is from man because God never predicts)

I don't know what is wrong with the mod that moved this topic to the front page.

Number 1, the grammatical blunders in the post are too numerous.
Number 2, the location of the accident was not indicated in the post and Number 3, the mod deliberately modified the title of the post in order to attract a great number of viewers.

(My OBSERVATION: Nairaland mods do desire or admire news that are related to murder, accidents, boko haram, corruption, mass death, sexual immoralities, religious conflicts, ethnic disagreement or topics that have the ability to create or promote fear, abuse, curses, online fighting, corruption of the heart, tribal and religious conflicts among Nairaland members)

•A peep into the world of students at the Married Women Secondary School, Bauchi

FROM PAUL ORUDE, BAUCHI

She is 60 years old, but Mrs. Hannatu Ishaku is not ashamed to wear her school uniform to school every day. The mother of seven children and four grand children is schooling at the Married Women Secondary School at Wayan Makarfi area of Bauchi metropolis.

The SSSI student is usually seen at school with students young enough to be her children or even grandchildren but she is not perturbed. Hajia Hauwa Husseini who was once a Principal of the school disclosed that it was established by the Governor Isa Yuguda administration in 2008 as part of the efforts to encourage married women to acquire western education.

“The establishment of the school was initiated by the First lady, Hajia Aisha Isa Yuguda, who sold the idea to her husband due to her worry about women getting married without completing their secondary education,” she informed. “The First Lady believes that these women should be given the second chance to get quality education in order to be useful to themselves and the society. We have six of the schools in the state and they are located in Bauchi, Misau, Azare, Jamare, Ningi and Dass Local Government Areas.

The Married Women Secondary School at Wayan Makrfi, was established in November 2008. “On the first day of resumption in our centre here, we had only three students but, as at today, we have over 300 students in JSS 1 to SSS 3,” she disclosed.

One of them is Mrs. Hannatu Ishaku who is, today, living out her dreams of acquiring western education, her age notwithstanding. She mingles easily with the students, most of whom are nursing mothers.

The elderly woman’s love for western education is inspiring to younger students and teachers. According to her story, growing up as a little girl at Tafawa Balewa in Bauchi State, Ishaku said her parents did not send her to school. “It is one of those things I look back in life and regret,” she said. As a teenager, she was married off.

FILLING A VOID

But as time went by, she became more aware of a void in her life that needed to be filled. “I soon realised I wanted to be able to read and write,” she recalled. “I discovered that my age-mates who went to school were working and doing fine. I decided that I must go to school because education will help me.”

Buoyed up by this desire, Ishaku explained her feelings to her husband who gave her his unalloyed support. On learning about a school in the state capital, that catered solely for married women, she immediately went there and registered for studies.

She was about 60 when she started off in Junior Secondary 1. By this time, her five children had all graduated from the university. “I had to learn how to read and write 123 and ABC,” she told Education Review.

She recalled that the first day she put on her blue school uniform, together with white socks and sandals to go to school, her children and grandchildren could not help laughing.

“I couldn’t help laughing too,” she remarked. Now in Junior Secondary 3, Hannatu is happy that she can read and write. She is usually dropped at school by her husband in the morning. These days, she even helps her grandchildren with their homework and she’s really happy about it. Already, she has started thinking of the future as she confided in Education Review that she would like to acquire tertiary education. “Maybe a National Diploma but if I can get a degree, why not,” she said with some twinkle in her eyes.

Ishaku is the only Christian student in the school but she confessed that her relationship with Muslim students is excellent. She had never felt out of place, she claimed.

At the school, the criteria used in admitting the students is simple: first, you obtain a form and fill it. Among the information you are expected to supply is the last class you attained before marriage and the one you want to go to. After that you are interviewed and fixed in the appropriate class, depending on your performance at the oral interview.

COPING WITH HOME AND STUDIES

Like Ishaku, Bilkisu Ayuba Aliyu, 43-year-old JSS 111 student of the school, has similar story of not being educated by her parents as a girl. The mother of three kids said she became worried any time her children came back from school and she was unable to help them with their homework.

“Then one day I decided to go to school and when I told my husband, he supported the idea fully,” she recalled. “I failed English a lot initially but now I am improving. I am happy that I am now conversant with Math, English and a few other subjects. It was not easy from the start because I didn’t have good foundation. It was tough but I was not discouraged.”

Bilkisu’s children are aged 22, 12 and 8 respectively. To balance the call of studies and family, she usually wakes up at four in the morning to start preparing for each day. “I prepare bath and breakfast and when the children had all gone to school then I settle down with my husband. Before 8 (o’clock) both of us are out of the house,” she reported.

Bilkisu is, however, unhappy with the absence of toilet in the school, making the students to resort to going to neighbouring houses to take care of their toilet needs. “I want to use this opportunity to beg the management to build toilets for us. Even the teachers don’t have offices, hence they sit outside.”

NURSING A DREAM

Maimunatu Shehu, 35, in SSS III, hopes to further her education if she successfully passes the senior school certificate examinations coming up later this year. “I want to be a nurse,” she said while holding tenderly her eight-months-old daughter, Aminatu. She said she completed her primary school ten years ago before getting married. But once she had her first child, it became difficult for her to continue her education. Her desire to go to secondary school was fully supported by her husband who accompanied her during registration in her current school.

Maimunatu who is a science student at the Married Women Secondary School said she enrolled at the school after failing her O levels at the Government Secondary School, Nabordo, Bauchi State. On how she copes with her studies and taking care of her baby, she said the determination to succeed is what keeps her going.

“When she is hungry or starts crying I would excuse myself and go outside to take care of her. Luckily for me, she is a good child. Once I feed her, she sleeps off. As for me, I have never dozed off in class even for once since I started.” Maimunatu has a 12-year-old daughter who is in afternoon session. “Before I get home she has prepared food.”

According to Hajia Husseini, the school has a daycare run by nannies. When students who are nursing mothers come in the morning, they drop their babies with them. “During break they go to the daycare to breast-feed them and at the closing hour they take their children home. We also have a donor agency that provides medical services to the kids and mothers whenever they are sick.”

In spite of this arrangement, many of the students were seen in the classroom with their kids, some of who were sleeping on the floor inside the class, while others were seen being fed by their mothers. One such nursing mother student is Fauziya Tanimu, 20, who has a one-year old child, Abubakar Sadiq.

MOTIVATED TO GO TO SCHOOL BY A NEIGHBOUR

A JSS 1 student, Fauziya said she was motivated to go to school after she heard her fellow Hausa neighbour speak fairly good English. “I have always wanted to speak English. When I heard her speak, I asked her how she learnt the language and she told me about the school. I told my husband when he came home that I would like to go to school and learn how to communicate in English. He was happy and encouraged me. Now my English speaking is improving.”

Fauziya is, however, not comfortable with sitting on the floor to learn. Junior students do not have desks in their classroom. Only the senior ones do.

“I don’t enjoy sitting on the floor to learn at all,” she told Education Review. “There was a time all our mats were stolen and we had to sit on the bare floor for some time before they could replace them with new ones.”

Ayuba Mahmud, Chairman of the school management committee, said that his first contact with the school was when he brought his wife to register for skills acquisition training. He added that the school then had a population of 156 students and several teachers posted by the state government.

“I found the school dilapidated and when we came for meeting we discussed how we could improve the situation. But the community where the school is cited is not cooperating at all with the school management.” Ayuba said that besides the absence of toilets for female students, the environment is dirty because some of the people in the community have turned some part of the premises into a dump site for wastes.

“They use the school as a dump site and their children come here to smoke Indian hemp in one of the buildings which used to serve as a laboratory,” he lamented.

It was learnt that the school used to be a secondary school but government has to close it down after the students went on rampage, and destroyed, in the process, the facilities. Ayuba commended the teachers’ commitment, noting that under the circumstances the teachers are doing their level best.

IN SEARCH OF SPOUSES’ SUPPORT

Hajia Husseini sees the attitude of the students’ husbands as another problem that needs to be quickly addressed in order to achieve the set objectives. “The main challenge is from their husbands because we are not getting enough cooperation and support from them in the sense that if they have little misunderstanding with their wives at home, they would use that as an excuse to stop them from coming to school and you know this will affect their education. So we normally refer the issues to Husbands/Parents Teachers Association to intervene and settle the problem for them so that the woman can be allowed to come to school.”

She commended the women, adding that “their attendance and commitment is, in itself, an achievement because it is not easy for a married woman to leave her husband and children to come to school especially in this part of the country but due to their determination, they have been able to do that.

“To get this women out of their homes, at the initial stage, was very difficult. We embarked on a lot of sensitization before their husbands could allow their enrolment, so retaining them in the school is an achievement because many came thinking they will not cope. But to combine housework and schoolwork was difficult for some of them. This made them to abandon school to go back home to continue with their housewives’ work.”

The former principal said that state government takes care of the teachers who are posted from Ministry of Education. All the textbooks and written materials are supplied by the government, and the students do not pay school fees, she revealed.

“I am very grateful for this opportunity to go back to school again,” Ishaku said. “I will encourage married women who are willing to take the chance. I will plead with their husbands to please support their wives because it is really good.”

Religion / HONOUR TO GOD FOR THE MINISTRY OF PASTOR W.F. KUMUYI - DO NOT MISS THIS! by adeniyitheprof(m): 6:21am On Apr 12, 2015
HONOUR TO GOD FOR THE MINISTRY OF PASTOR W.F. KUMUYI

(NOTE: This might be too long for lazy readers. To avoid "wasting your time", don't read this if you are a lazy reader)

Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi is an inspiration to the Church of God in Nigeria – particularly in a challenging period like this.

Let’s be honest, Pastor Kumuyi (PK) is not a perfect minister of the Gospel (hardly any one of us is!) but God Almighty has ever been helping him in his ministry and other areas of his life

For today, please let us thank God for an aspect of the life of PK that even his sternest critics will concede to him – INTEGRITY OF CHARACTER.

Let’s start from the on-going political process in the country. Did you observe how Pastor Kumuyi was completely untainted by the embarrassing shenanigans that engulfed the topmost hierarchy of the Church leadership in Nigeria in relation to the on-going elections? When allegations were flying around about the pastors that had collected billions of Naira to influence Christian voters, PK’s name NEVER came up in the frame. When Church pulpits were being used as a political soapbox, PK was not in the fray. When the Church became embroiled in the controversy of endorsing a political party, we didn’t read about PK’s name in the reports.

Today, as the top leadership of the Church in Nigeria retreats in embarrassment over their conduct in the election (especially the failed prophecies), PK is a man that can be excused from that bandwagon. My guess is that one of the reasons that the politicians did not fawn all over him is simply because he has not been grovelling in the corridors of political power for favours. For patronage. For donations. And to invite politicians to grace his pulpit.

Of necessity, Church leaders ought to have cordial relations with political figures, where possible. For politicians also need the Gospel, as well as other segments of the society. But in this relationship, the challenge for most pastors relates to how to maintain the dignity and neutrality that their sacred office requires. Particularly, by being careful of gifts/favour from politicians. Thankfully, PK is a worthy example to Christian leaders, his conduct shows that these considerations can be successfully balanced.

Beyond the political aspect, PK shines very brightly in a crucial area of the faith – a single-minded focus on the interest of the Kingdom. Like every pastor that is into denominationalism, PK, unfortunately, is also building an empire. But, unlike most others, PK’s empire building DOES NOT come ahead of what he holds dear as Christian doctrines. He does not compromise these doctrines just to attract crowds into Deeper Life Bible Church (DLBC).

If anything, in a manner of speaking, PK erects ‘barriers’ that make membership of DLBC more difficult than it ought to be. Several ‘traditions’ and ‘taboos’ have to be observed before a member can feel truly comfortable in the Deeper Life family. Whereas this is not healthy for Christianity, it does show that PK is NOT in this for the crowd.

Let me give an example. I was in one of his services, over two decades ago, when he made a solemn, shocking announcement. He told his sprawling congregation that, with immediate effect, he would stop holding miracle services, and all services from that point would become Bible studies. He said he had observed that most of the people that were coming to the Church were coming just for the miracles – not for salvation. He said his observation of the Church did not reflect a people that were truly being transformed in the direction of holiness. So, he stopped the miracle services, and all the Sunday, Monday, and Thursday services became Bible study focused. In a matter of months, the Church’s attendance dropped massively. I mean massively!

In spite of that, PK did not panic. He expressed a preference for a slimmer church that was heaven-bound, than a behemoth church that wanted the blessings of Jesus Christ, but not His Lordship. He kept the emphasis on the main issue. Please look around Christendom today, how many pastors have a godly focus on quality, rather than quantity in church membership?

Please do not get me wrong. I am not advocating that the Church should be made up of only ‘saints’. And I am sure that this was not what PK was driving at too. The Church is, and is always likely to be a mixed multitude. My respect and admiration for PK in this area relate to the fact that he was not pandering to the needs of the crowd – above the dictates and imperatives of the Word of God. He was more focused on the Word, and the Word alone. How many pastors are like that today?

In dishing out the Word, PK does not pull punches. He does not teach a watered down version of the Word that will make your bum more comfortable in the pew. He speaks eloquently against worldliness (when last did you hear a real message against worldliness – even if not in the Deeper Life ‘above-the-top’ style? Uh, when?). Love-not-the-world is largely a lost message in the Church today. PK speaks about separation. He speaks about sanctification. He speaks about consecration. He speaks about dedication. He speaks about humility. He emphasizes Christian living.

PK is a man of God that challenges you on every facet of the faith. Just as the Word of God, faithfully expounded, will challenge every single believer. If you speak to most ex-DLBC members, they are likely to tell you that few pastors have ever challenged them like PK – once you are able to sift out the traditions that were unfortunately woven into some of his great messages. So, in this regard also, PK is inspirational.

Please observe Deeper Life retreat programmes. Unless if things have changed now, Deeper Life is about the only behemoth Church that ALWAYS has its retreat theme centered around the believer’s walk in the faith – not just what the believer can get from the Lord. Even in preaching about the blessings of the Lord, PK has a peculiar way of weaving it into the believers’ walk with the Lord in a way that you cannot overlook the latter.

This was how the Lord graciously drew me into the Kingdom in a DLBC service over 25 years ago. The title of the message on that day was “GOD’S POWER IN THE CHURCH”. PK expounded on how God has graciously made His awesome power available to mankind through Christ Jesus. But he emphasized again and again that you cannot be a carrier of God’s power if you are living in sin. Through God’s mercy, my eyes popped open! I realized I was indeed a sinner, and thought it would be cool to have this power of God. So I surrendered to Christ in that service. And though I left DLBC not too long after then because I was struggling with some of their traditions, I have not once looked back from Christ since then.

Till date, I still recall with nostalgia some of PK’s sermons. One of my favourites is ‘ADULTERY FORBIDDEN’, where he read at least a verse in virtually every book of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, to show us how much the Lord loathes fornication and adultery. There are many classics like that. And I believe the Lord will bless him for each of those soul-stirring messages.

Finally. And this is the point that thrills me to the marrow, and convinces me that PK is indeed a different breed. As the Lord has commenced the cleansing of His Church preparatory to the return of the Lord, PK is the ONLY one out of all the top pastors in Nigeria to OPENLY declare that HE HAS BEEN WRONG ABOUT SOME OF THE THINGS HE TAUGHT THE CHURCH. In a video that circulated widely a few months ago, he urged the church to re-focus on the new things the Lord is doing, and to forget what he taught them in error. This takes humility. And it takes courage.

Brothers and sisters, please join me in praying earnestly for PK. That the hand of the Lord will be renewed daily upon his life and ministry. That the good work of re-positioning that the Lord has started through him will flourish greatly. That in this latter part of his ministry, he will become even much more fruitful for the Kingdom.

In these days of scarce great examples of TRANSPARENT INTEGRITY among our topmost pastors, Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, through the grace of God, shines like a thousand stars. May his light never grow dim in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Thanks for reading, and God bless.

IT IS NOT A SIN BUT WHEN IT BECOMES A REPEATED ACTION IN YOUR DREAMS, THEN SUCH SEXUAL ACTIVITIES HAVE SPIRITUAL IMPLICATION ON YOU AND WHAT YOU DO IN REALITY OR THERE IS A MANIPULATION GOING ON THE SPIRIT REALM IN ORDER TO CONTROL YOU AND YOUR DESTINY IN THE PHYSICAL REALM.

DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY MANY AND WITH ALL SINCERITY OF HEART, YOU NEED TO PRAY VERY VERY SERIOUSLY WITH FASTING AGAINST ITS OCCURRENCE IF YOUR SEXUAL EXPERIENCE BECOMES CONSTANT IN YOUR DREAM

Just an observation

If the topic has concentrated on mass killings, sexual immorality, fatal accident, bokoharam, election violence, money making tips, pictures displaying the nudity of celebrities and irrelevant matters, the number of views would have reached millions and surely would have made front page.

Religion / What Were The 7 Last Statements Of Jesus On The Cross & What Do They Mean? by adeniyitheprof(m): 7:56pm On Apr 04, 2015
The seven statements that Jesus Christ made on the cross were (not in any particular order):

(1) Matthew 27:46 tells us that about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Here, Jesus was expressing His feelings of abandonment as God placed the sins of the world on Him – and because of that, God had to “turn away” from Jesus. As Jesus was feeling that weight of sin, He was experiencing a separation from God for the only time in all of eternity. This was also a fulfillment of the prophetic statement in Psalm 22:1.

(2) “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34). Those who crucified Jesus were not aware of the full scope of what they were doing because they did not recognize Him as the Messiah. While their ignorance of divine truth did not mean they deserved forgiveness, Christ’s prayer in the midst of their mocking Him is an expression of the limitless compassion of divine grace.

(3) “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:43). In this passage, Jesus is assuring one of the criminals on the cross that when he died, he would be with Jesus in heaven. This was granted because even at the hour of his death, the criminal had expressed his faith in Jesus, recognizing Him for who He was (Luke 23:42).

(4) “Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit” (Luke 23:46). Here, Jesus is willingly giving up His soul into the Father’s hands, indicating that He was about to die – and that God had accepted His sacrifice. He “offered up Himself unblemished to God” (Hebrews 9:14).

(5) “Dear Woman, here is your son!” and “Here is your mother!” When Jesus saw His mother standing near the cross with the Apostle John, whom He loved, He committed His mother’s care into John’s hands. And from that hour John took her unto his own home (John 19:26-27). In this verse Jesus, ever the compassionate Son, is making sure His earthly mother is cared for after His death.

(6) “I am thirsty” (John 19:28). Jesus was here fulfilling the Messianic prophecy from Psalm 69:21: “They put gall in my food and gave me vinegar for my thirst.” By saying He was thirsty, He prompted the Roman guards to give Him vinegar, which was customary at a crucifixion, thereby fulfilling the prophecy.

(7) “It is finished!” (John 19:30). Jesus’ last words meant that His suffering was over and the whole work His Father had given Him to do, which was to preach the Gospel, work miracles, and obtain eternal salvation for His people, was done, accomplished, fulfilled. The debt of sin was paid.

FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY!

Gotta love this Judge!

You must read this. A proper decision by the courts for a change.

FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY

In Florida , an atheist created a case against Easter and Passover Holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days.

The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, “Case dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case?
The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays..."

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant."

The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."

The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fool’s Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that, if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day.

Court is adjourned...." You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture!

Dnt count ur chickens yet.... Dev not handed over, d result can b contested. Dnt carried away.... Dnt jubilate too soon.... Dev not handed over... Alot can happen o.. After all dey always say d nite is long.

What is the meaning of "Dev"?

The issue is that a party has been declared a winner of the election (which is a direct opposite with what many prophets prophesied) and whatever happens later is another scene entirely.

Or what

U can it or leave it

My brother, the topic is not to concentrate on the meaning of Biblical prophecy. If it is, I would have explained better for you to understand.

You said that I should stop turning the word of God but you have not quoted any verse from the Bible to support your opinion.

Please, note this very importantly that the fact that a pastor or a reverend father says someone will win an election does not mean that he has prophesied. That was I attempted to differentiate between prophecy (God's words or mind) and prediction (mere human opinion or guess).

If I, as a pastor or a reverend father, say this even on the altar: "I believe very strongly that Jonathan will not be re-elected because he has not done enough for the people in terms of security, corruption, food and others"

OR

"I think Jonathan is not good enough and I want you, my members, not to vote him and besides, I am sure with confidence he will not win"

My brother, the two illustrations above are PREDICTIONS and not PROPHECIES. The speaker does not attribute any of the statements to God Almighty but is just an expression of opinion or view and which MAY or MAY NOT OCCUR.

However, once a speaker says that "God told me to tell you that ......", such speaker is being used as a channel or a vessel by God to pass His words or message to you.

Such words are not from the speaker but from God and these words cannot go out and come back to God unfulfilled.
Our God is the One that does what He says He will do.

Take a look at the following:
A prophet is saying this:
"Thus says the Lord, I will replace Jonathan with Buhari. Tell this to the people that I have taken away power from the Pharaoh of this nation, says the Lord, God of Host"

Here, the above instance is called PROPHECY with direct speech; where "I" stands for God and you mostly hear this in a church gathering where everybody will be listening or writing it down for reference.

Now, if the prophet wants to inform all Nigerians what God has told him, he will use indirect reported speech like:

"The Lord God Almighty told me, showed me or revealed unto me me that He will replace Jonathan with Buhari and that he has taken away power from the Pharaoh of this nation"

Now that you have a better understanding of the dichotomy between PROPHECY and PREDICTION, you must also note that predictions and prophecies can come out from the mouth of a pastor; it is left to you to differentiate between them.

One of the problems among many christians is that whatever statement, good or bad, spoken out by their pastors are automatically from God. God forbid!
It is not a crime for a pastor to joke moderately or express his opinions politely.

As per Rev. Mbaka, did he say that "God told me" that Jonathan will lose or the governor will lose?
If He did or did not, I leave that to you to decide based on your better understanding of prophecy and prediction and the fact that you must have watched the video.

NOTE: Someone with a spirit of divination (not Holy Spirit) may have been telling you your future events and they have been occuring but a day will come when God will decide to ridicule him and a result what he forsees will not occur just like these pastors making false election prophecies.
READ: (ACT 16: 16-18).
God bless you sir

After reading the words of Rev. Mbaka carefully, I can answer you that He spoke like the way a political activist speaks, that is, if I am correct. This is because all the words he spoke then were not attributed to God's words or Holy Spirit but rather he expressed his viewpoints. Perhaps, one of the reasons why many criticized him then, apart from political party affliation differences, could be the fact he shouldn't have said all that on the altar as a Rev. Father but rather may be, his response to journalists as a concerned citizen of the nation.

Factually and in summary, Rev. Mbaka did not prophesy but rather he expressed his own opinion and predicted.

Not all the words that pastors speak are from God; some opinion, some advice, some warnings, and some God's words indeed.

Ignorance is worrying u
Tho I knw fake prophect are out there
That a prophecy is not fulfilled doesn't mean its not from God
Prophecy is a clue to the future if right steps are not taken it won't come to pass

Please for the sake of yourself, if you cannot understand the simple words used in Deu 18:21-22, then there is a problem somewhere.

In summary of the two verses, God says categorically that if any prophecy spoken by a self-acclaimed prophet does not happen or come to pass, it shows that such prophecy is NOT from Him and He further said that we should not be afraid of them, the false prophets.

If you can't still understand, then I know the reason why increased number of all forms of deception, false prophets and all forms of worldliness have penetrated and established themselve at the centers of many churches and why all these anomalies are spreading like wild fire. (RICH PASTORS BUT POOR MEMBERS)

"They know truth but still they deny and reject it even openly"

I will leave you with this:

Please let us all have the understanding that their prophecies maybe very true and correct, nevertheless men have stood in the gap to pray over the elections so that every such impending upheaval could be avert and God harken to their voices and had mercy on this great nation.

Please my brother, I will beseech you sir NOT to defend these attention-seeking men so that you will not partake in God's wrath upon their lives and ministries.

There is a dichotomy between PROPHECY AND PREDICTION.

PROPHECY is simply put as God's statement of future events and must be divinely inspired, that is, its revealation must be through the Holy Spirit.
It must be spoken exactly, without adding to nor subtracting from it, as the Holy Spirit leads.
If you are not sure of the source, the intending speaker must keep shut.
It is better to remain silent and sin not against God, that is, if you are unsure of the source of a revelation and than to speak it out and attract God's wrathful anger.

GOD'S PROPHECIES MUST MUST and MUST COME TO PASS.
All the prophecies concerning Jesus' birth, teachings, death, resurrection and ascension which are revealed in the Old Testament have all come to pass in New Testament.
It must be 100% fulfilled, not a partly fulfilment.

PREDICTION: First, God does not predict. It is a statement of what will happen in future but it is under likelihood, guess, probability and it is made because of certain present events. E.g. Football match prediction!

PREDICTION MAY/MAY NOT OCCUR but God's words can never be said like, "May be or probably, it will occur" God forbid this!

The Holy Bible is very clear on this issue of prophecies.

Apart from God's condemnation of false prophets in Ezekiel 13, something very vital or crucial is written in Deutoronomy Chapter 18 verse 22.
I quote from NKJV:

"When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; YOU SHALL NOT BE AFRAID OF HIM"

The above verse 22 is a response to verse 21 of the chapter. I quote verse 21 from KJV.

"And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?"

I hope sir that you will not continue to defend these men whom our Lord God did not send to speak but they went ahead to speak their OWN MINDS under the pretence of the Holy Spirit.

Hallelujah to Jesus Christ!
Good morning sir!

On contrary to many of the false prophets, Dr. Moshood Fayemiwo, former president of Students Union UNILAG, Quondan Professor of Biblical Exegesis at Kingdom Bible College and Seminary, a Publisher/Editor, specifically prophesied that God has already taken away the power from Jonathan and given it to Buhari and this has been perfected in the Spirit realm a long ago.

He further said categorically that election day is just mere formality that Jonathan already knows through a dream from God that he will lose this election and that Buhari already knows that he will surely win this election through the dream from God.

He made the above and many more revelations on the New Year Day, 2015
