record keeping in poultry operation is essential to monitor the performance and profitability of your business, and to enable forecasting, programming and cash to flow projections to be made. It also serves to provide an early warning of potential problems, and so is invaluable to all round good management. Efficient and profitable poultry operations are not guaranteed by good record keeping, but success is unlikely without them. Record keeping involves keeping, filing, maintaining, and categorizing inventory, financial and production information for your flock. This can be accomplished by hand recording or by using computer software.
records tell an owner or manager where the business /operation has been and the direction in which it is going. Records show the strength and weakness of the poultry operation.
Regardless of flock size, re cords should always be kept up to-date.

Dear Great People. by Following this tread as really encouraged me alot. I have since ventured into the poultry biz as a first timer since last year. my birds are a little above 1000 abd are currently in there 22 weeks. I saw the first 2 eggs on January 17, 2017 and since then i have been seeing an average of 2 eggs till now making 2 weeks. However, I noticed that they are pecking each another about 7 days ago and i was the opnion to debeak them before they started laying in mass. My question is that

1. I hope it was not too late to debeak them when i did at 21 weeks.

2. Hope all is well seeing average of 2 eggs daily from a flock of 1100 birds at 22 weeks when in an actual fact that the first 2 eggs was seen when they were 20 weeks

Please i need your professional guide.

You can debeak them, but give them vitamin and antibiotics like Neoceryl and never let feed finish in their feeders till they get used to it.

Isa brown bought dayold from zartech,deepliter, though @ their growing stage the were underfed which could b the reason for their delay.1845, 8bgs perday.43crts.69%. Actually the underfeeding had affected them during their growing stage, which could result in their delay in production and also be the reason of not producing to the expected production. I had such a similar case like that also that I just solved in which those birds were underfed during their growing stage and affected them a lot in which the time the ought to dropped was late, they dropped at 28weeks and by 33weeks their production stopped at 50%. But when I got there and did something changes they changed rapidly to 83%

Not quite easy I tell you, Firstly, ur department must sign u out. secondly, d departmant u want 2 cross in to must sign u in. thirdly, you will start attending 2 dept lectures(the dept u're in & the dept u wanna cross to) because crossing form might nt come out till middle of d semester(you might even miss some test). And lastly, pray MLS will allow pple 2 cross in during ur set, cos some dept don't allow pple 2 cross in, nd if they wanna accept pple, it's gonna be maybe only 10pple with long leg(you knw wat I mean). Crossing is only easy if you wanna cross to any dept apart 4rm departments in College of health sciences nd faculty of Engineering.
