LATE NIGHT SNACKS!!! 1)Given that Y=C + i, where C = 50 + 0.75 and I = #45m, what is the equilibrium level of income? a) #380m b) #20m c) #180m d) #200m 2)If the marginal utility of the last unit of commodity X at #2 is 16 and that of commodity Y at #4 is 24, the consumer will be at equilibrium when a)the price-quantity ratios are equal b)equal amounts of X and Y are consumed c)less of Y and more of X are consumed d)less of X and more of Y are consumed 3)When the marginal utility of a commodity is Zero the total utility is a) at its minimum b) upward sloping c) downward sloping d) at its maximum 4) If the government invests the sum of #1,000,000.00 and the marginal propensity to consume is 0.75, what is the change in income? a)#1,000,000.00 b)#4,000,000.00 c)#6,000,000.00 d)#14,000,000.00 |

Ajengb: . Well doneyes boss!!! |
collozzuz: It's getting more interesting, keep it up pals! #watchingfromthesidelinethings#enter the pitch nah #rubbing-minds-together# |
emekakelvin: k : 1/1-mpc, 1/1- 0.6,then,k is therefore 10/4,2.5,the answer is cconfirmento!!! |
Adex097: the first questn ain't #4.0m.midnight question!!!!! FROM THE ABOVE SOLUTION, WHAT IS THE MULTIPLIER (K) ? (a)4 (b)2 (c) 2.5 (d) 5.5 NB; show your workings |
emekakelvin: its true broyea man |
Ajengb: @adex097 multiplier effect is a reciprocal of marginal propensity to consume(MPC) while d 1st questn is #4.0m but u went 4 25m can u share ur workings?the first questn ain't #4.0m. REASON- MPS=0.4 changes in consumption expenditure=#10.0m changes in income= ? *let "/\" rep "change in"*let Y rep income and C consumption* 1/mps = /\Y / /\C 1/0.4 = /\Y / 10 *CROSS MULTIPLY* 0.4/\Y = 10 /\Y = 10/0.4 /\Y = 25.0 m. |
Ajengb: . How can no 2 be MPS ? Did u knw what multiplier is or u just guess? Explain sir |
Ajengb: . How can no 2 be MPS ? Did u knw what multiplier is or u just guess? Explain sirfirst of all *INTRODUCTION* whats the fmla for multiplier (K)? Answer- k= 1/1-mpc=1/mps .'. K=1/mps. Frm the above equatn, whats the reciprocal of multiplier(K)? |
emekakelvin: (1)b (2)bnumber 1 is (D) score-1/2 |
Hausa: @ aduwo emmanuel...Thanx for your effort bro. ..God bless you |
1) If the marginal propensity to save is 0.4 and consumer consumption expenditure changes by #10 million, the equilibrium level of income will change by. (a)#15.0 million (b)#4.0 million (c)#2.5 million (d)#25 million 2) The multiplier is always the reciprocal of (a)MPC (b)MPS (c)APC (d)APS |
paul234: BE THE FIRST OF YOUR COLLEAGUE TO BE INFORMED!informed about what? |
You all got it right APC = C÷Y »APC= 400 ÷ 500 = 0.8(b) |
Emmy35: Yea..... Going home 4 Eastergood to hear that |
If aggregate income is #500 and aggregate consumption is #400, this means that the average propensity to consume is. (A)0.20 (b)0.80 (c)1.25 (d)2.00 YA TIME STARTS NOW. |
Emmy35: U can ask anybody. Students buy textbooks in school but i doubt it if they'll have fundamental Econshmmm...that's serious...hope you would be coming to lag soon. There's no time to waste time o |
Emmy35: I'll buy it wen next i'm going 2 Lagos cos there's no bookshop here in Ago-IwoyeNO BOOKSHOP IN AGO-IWOYE!!? That's unbelievable |
phtemie: Yea....I used it in my WAEC and i came out with B2...since then,i've been loving it..hmmm...lovely testimony |
Emmy35: Pls how much is it? I don't have much with meits £800 buh me bought mine £700 #BARGAINING-POWER# |
Ajengb: @adex097 I have issues with question 2 and 5 because I can see most people went for marginal productivity of labour but increase in marginal productivity wil only last in a short period because of oder factors held constant bfor it declines and even run negative.but I think its d total productivity that increases far higher though it also slope downward at some point. And Questn.5,its not D and C because if there is currency depreciation little money will be required to transfer dere produce which is d export duties and remember when when the're to be paid its in dollar,so when u now convert d dollart to naira then its a lot of money. It can only be D if govt charged higher export duties which will make exportation less attractive.so d options need to tell us whether its increased export duties or reduced export duties.wow i love this ...now let me air ma own opinion about the questions starting with number2. The question goes thus "THE MIGRATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE FROM RURAL TO URBAN AREAS IN NIGERIA SHOULD HELP TO RAISE THE______". Answer is marginal productivity of labour in urban areas. REASON: increase in migration of young people frm rural to urban areas increases the total productivity of labour in urban areas and @thesame time increases the marginal productivity of labour in urban areas. but further/excessive migration of young people to urban areas makes the marginal productivity fall latter on i.e total productivity is now close to its maximum point or equals it. NUMBER (5) : first of all, if the answer is neither D nor C then what's the answer. Secondly, its very necessary for candidates to delete some options before choosing the one we think is right. Using this number 5 question as a case study, you and i know that option (a) and (b) is out of it. Now that we have just two options left (C and D), i hereby choose option D cos its the closest answer to it. Jamb don't really shed enough light to their questions..its left for you to eliminate the clearly wrong options after all they didn't tell us if the elasticity demand for the crops exported are elastic or in-elastic. Hope this all thing i wrote is not gibberish. |
phtemie: But if u look that c...and analyse it...u might want to pick it...nice try man but that can't be C |
phtemie: Fundamental econs is good..its even over good....i regret ever using comprehensive last year..that book is a scam i swear....nice name (comprehensive) but poor content. But the government version is on point |
aragbs4real05: ehn ehn so u knw! I wanted to tackle u about the no.5 quest I justy decide to keep quiet and learn or probably watch...my guy d answer is D.thank GOd u did not tackle me o...i for don get injury...lol |
