Please stop saying Merry Xmas or Happy Xmas, instead of saying either of them you should say what is appropriate which is Merry Christmas or Happy Christmas.

REASON
when we say X-mas, we replace the name 'Christ' with the letter X. X stands for bad which is not a good word, so in that case whenever we say Merry Xmas to people we are wishing them bad instead of good. People may say that it is just a shortform or an abbreviation but even if it is HOW IS X RELATED 2 CHRIST IN TERMS OF SHORTFORMS OR ABBREVIATIONS . DO THEY RHYME.

Please my friends stop saying merry xmas but rather say MERRY CHRISTMAS. If anybody should say Merry Xmas to me, I will show you Deaf ears or blind eyes as the case may be.

We only type merry xmas to abbr8...
It is left for the person reading it to use his/her common sense to see dat the X is christ.
