That was not the case around the advent of transatlantic slave trade. The Europeans were miles ahead of us.
They had seen bigger wars and adapted.
They had seen bigger natural disasters and adapted.
They had explored the world more.

More cultural interactions due to a terrain suite for travel leading to more exchange of ideas.

If not for radical changes in navigation, Sub-Saharan Africa is an unforgiving place.
Had we had more natural disasters pushing our survival instincts, we might have been more adventurous. Instead we were busy fighting local wars.

Africa, more precisely Nigeria already had contact with Europe years before the transatlantic slave trade which was tagged the greatest forced migration in history commenced. Like you pointed out exchange of ideas, don't you think that could have been possible . I still retain my view that Africa could have been very great if not for the slave trade.

I guess you would have to flash the stock rom

According to history, before the advent of slave trade the level of development in Africa & Europe was at par. If only our forefathers had refused, Africa could have been one of the leading continents.

I guess you have a point there, our forefathers had almost everything working out well for them. Unfortunately it lead to the greatest mistake in Africa "SLAVE TRADE"

If Africa was prone to deadly disasters like this, I doubt if the black race would still exist.

wow thats crazy, though i had similar experience too, and 5GB went off since it did not roll over.

MTN is really toying with us. It seems they just started doing this cos' the one I did last month was rolled over

Hi JideSM, I had 2.4gb+ on my MTN line which was to expire 3/9/17 but I had recharge on the 2nd to allow auto-renewal but waking up this morning 4/9/17, the 2.4gb+ I had was wiped and I had only the 1.5gb + 200mb from the 20% data bonus . I called customer care twice but all they were telling me was irrelevant. My data usage below also data balance before the auto renewal, August 31st to be precise

Fast forward to the main issue, I had 2.4gb+ on my MTN line which was to expire 3/9/17 but I had recharged on the 2nd to allow auto-renewal in other for the data to rollover, waking up this morning 4/9/17, the 2.4gb+ I had left was wiped and I had only the 1.5gb + 200mb from the 20% data bonus . I called customer care twice but all they were telling me was irrelevant. I beseech all relevant authorities to please come to my aid. Attached below are some screenshots
