In line with the SMART Agenda of His Excellency,
Senator (Dr) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of
Delta State to provide jobs for the teeming
unemployed and the sincere quest for prosperity
for all Deltans, the Delta State Government in
collaboration with the Federal Ministry of
Communication Technology and Rockefeller
Foundation is offering 2000 online digital jobs to
unemployed Deltans. To this end, a two day
workshop is being organised for 2000 prospective
unemployed youths of Delta State origin from
Monday 1st to Tuesday 2nd February, 2016.
The purpose of the workshop is to train
participants on (MICROWORK) in order to access
digital online jobs that would generate income of
between $1000-$4000 dollars for them monthly.
Interested candidates who must be unemployed
Deltans and computer literate, with a minimum of
OND (Ordinary National Diploma) should apply online at the official website of the Ministry of Science and Technology – ( www.most.dl.gov .ng)
not later than Tuesday, 26th January, 2016.
The names of shortlisted candidates (80 candidates from each of the 25 LGAs. of Delta State) shall be published online on Thursday, 28th January 2016 to enable them attend the
workshop in batches of 200 each at designated times at Benizia Hotel, off DBS road, Asaba, Delta State.

OKOWA OF DELTA STATE MOURNS DEATH OF UBULUKU-UKU MONARCH Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa has commiserated with the families of the late Monarch of Ubulu-Uku, HRM Obi Edward Ofulue III, the Kingdom of Ubulu-Uku and the entire people of Delta State over the untimely death of the late Monarch in the hands of his abductors. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, the Governor said the death of Obi Edward Ofulue III has opened a sacrilegious chapter in history of the state and vowed that the state, under his watch, would ensure that the incidents of the abduction and his subsequent death would be thoroughly investigated. “It was sad that a reigning king was abducted but an unheard of fact was his murder in the most dehumanizing circumstances by his abductors, in the forest. I have directed an inquiry into this abominable act and call on Deltans; particularly the Kingdom and the security agencies to work harmoniously to unearth the culprits”. Governor Okowa noted that he had received with shock the news of the Obi’s abduction about 15 days ago and enjoined the people of Ubulu-Uku to close ranks in the course of this investigation. He said that King Edward’s death will mark a new vista in the battle against kidnapping and other violent crimes in the state and called on parents to warn their wards about the companies they keep as the state was out to make a guinea pig of anybody found to be culpable in related crimes. The Governor who underscored the place of security for peaceful and investor friendly environment, observed that it was against this background that his administration set up the committees on peace and security with prominent community leaders as members. prophet set a member ablaze during service.
The Victim identified as Madam Bosede is lying ill

hospital.
It was learnt that the prophet in his sermon
claimed he got a
revelation that there was God in their midst,
adding that if
the woman was set ablaze she would not suffer
burns.
The pastor told The Nation that he clearly heard
a voice
instructing him to set a member on fire to
prove and confirm
that God was in their midst.
