Urhobo Women Vows To Vote Out Omo-Agege For Daring To Say They Are Only Good For Beauty Pageant By Sunny Apah, Ughelli Urhobo Women, under the auspices of Urhobo Women With PVCs have vowed to vote out Senator Ovie Omo-Agege come 2019 for allegedly daring to say that women are only good for beauty pageant. The women in their thousands, displaying their PVCs, vowed to vote out Omo-Agege from the Senate as he has no respect for womanhood, so he can never represent them in any capacity. It could be recalled that Senator Omo-Agege made the derogatory statement against Urhobo women while inaugurating his campaign organization at Ughelli recently. Irked by the statement, representatives of the women from the 24 kingdoms staged a peaceful protest against the estranged senator over debasement of the integrity of women in Delta central. Speaking on behalf of the women, Mrs. Beauty Avwoko said the Senator sees himself as the leader of Urhobo people and not as a servant sent to the red chambers to represent them, "hence he has the guts to describe us as those only good for beauty pageant". "Come 2019, we don't want a mace runner or someone synonymous to suspension to be our senator. We will massively vote for Hon. Evelyn Oboro whom we know as a performer and empowerment guru come 2019 election.

Delta Central Senate: The Need To Vote Oboro Come 2019 By Hon Ashubu Ogbevire We would say we live in the city and yes we would say killing of twins is no longer an abomination and a woman driving a car is not an abomination even a female preacher these days is not an abomination but yet a woman president or leader is one thing we have not be able to digest. We know that no matter how educated and learned we become somehow the thread of our ancestral gene still flow through our veins and even until today the view of a woman taking the place of a leader is still seen as an abomination. To believe that the thought that certain belief and systems of ancestral lineage would have been abolished by education is a far cry because if we say every citizen of a nation has the right to vote and to be voted for, that statement is all correct when we also say that every woman has the right to vote and to be voted for. Women should be given every right, I mean every same right every man has and they should be well represented in parliament and and even in every executive office available. Women in other countries has been equal opportunity as men. Who would have believed that Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović the Female president of Croatia who lead her country to a second place in the world Cup would have been able to lead a nation to that height, Countries with male leader would have expected little from a Nation like that being a Nation with a female President but goes on to prove to us all that women when given an opportunity to govern and lead her people they go way beyond the limits set by men and do even better. This is a call to women in Nigeria that the world is leaving us behind and women in other nation has since transited from just being proper fit for the OTHER ROOM and today transiting to becoming world leader with real results and this shouldn't only happen in other nations, it should as a matter of fact happen here in Nigeria and this movement should start with everyone of us getting her PVC, and showing interest in politics or political office. We should be involved and we must all know that politics isn't only about Men but mostly about who is available and at such we women should make sure to be available for office. We must all show support to Rt. Hon. Evelyn Omavowan Oboro Esq who has taken the bold step to break barriers for women of this state and in so doing liberating and giving every women an opportunity to be heard and to be represented in parliament and executive office. We must all take our stand and we must be vibrant in every aspect of the politics, apart from just parading ourselves as a women group we should be involved in places of fitting into political office. Delta Central PDP Delegates, Please lets vote for: Rt. Hon Evelyn Omavowan Oboro Esq. for Delta Central Senate Come 2019.

FUPRE BILL: SENATOR OMO-AGEGE LIED? IT IS MY “BRAIN CHILD” – HON. OBORO Posted by Kelvin Amurun on October 21, 2017 in National | 0 Comment The member representing Uvwie/Okpe/Sapele constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Evelyn Oboro, has said that the bill establishing the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), Delta state and which was signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari recently, was her brain child. Hon Oboro, who played host to a delegation of various academic unions from FUPRE, weekend, who paid her a thank you visit for her efforts in ensuring that the FUPRE bill was signed into law, said she moved to tell the world the truth about the FUPRE bill because, according to her, “some political dramatists” want to claim her glory. According to the lawmaker: “This bill we are talking about today is my brain child and a product of my endeavor. It is my intellectual property because I actually engaged the services of consultants to look into it and they drafted this bill which I presented in 2014 and the bill was sent to the Senate for concurrence.” She said she was surprised when one of her “senior brothers” from the senate was trying to make people believe that the FUPRE bill emanated from him whereas she was the initiator of the bill. While saying that she does not want to join issues with anybody, Hon Oboro, however, said that she has already written a letter to the leader of the Senate House intimating him that someone wants to inherit her intellectual property, adding that when the time comes she will present the issue properly. She stated: “I do not want to join issues, but it is very important for me to let you know that there are a lot of political dramatists in the state. I am not a political dramatist, I am a realist and what I cannot do, I will not tell you that I will do it. I have never been known to crafting and assuming ownership of what belongs to someone else. “Ordinarily when a bill is passed, there will be no need for a public hearing and visitation because the bill has already been passed. When a bill has been passed, the next thing is for it to be sent to the president for assent. “So when you see a drama about a bill that has been passed by the House of Representatives, sent to the Senate for concurrence and somebody came up with the same bill and introduced it as a fresh bill that he is sponsoring, it sounds funny. And then in an attempt to suppress me, because I am a woman, and to kill my voice and steal the glory that God has given to me, you move traditional rulers, for no reason, from Delta State to Abuja and stage-manage a public hearing which was not necessary in the first place,” Hon Oboro said. Explaining how the bill came into being, Hon Oboro said: “I started the FUPRE bill in the Federal House of Representative in 2014 and the bill was passed then, but it was not signed by former President Goodluck Jonathan for obvious political reasons.” “There were a lot of bills that were not passed that year. Like all of you know, towards the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015, there were so many political issues in PDP, APC and even in the National Assembly. The speaker of the House of Representatives then, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, had issues and there was political migration everywhere. “So, it was not as if the then President Goodluck Jonathan intentionally refused to sign the FUPRE bill. There were circumstances beyond his control and there were a lot of bills on ground for him to sign then. “But as God will have it and by his grace, I was re-elected by my constituents to go back to the House of Representatives to continue my good work. I was already preparing to re-introduce the bill when the university authority paid me a visit in my office. And I told them that they needed not come to me because they have chosen me to represent them and I must do my job,” the federal lawmaker added. Continuing she said: “Some persons will want to belabour an agency or institution to come and sponsor bill for them. I never did that and I will never do it. I stand here boldly and say that I did all that I needed to do because that was the reason why I was voted for. But I want to give God all the glory. I am not giving myself the glory because it is by the grace of God that the FUPRE bill was signed into law.” She commended the delegation for taking out time to come and appreciate what she has been doing for the university, stressing that though she was doing her duty, she is happy to see that there are people who really appreciate her work. Earlier, Dean Students Affairs, FUPRE, Goodwill Ofualagba, who spoke on behalf of the various academic unions, rained encomiums on Hon Oboro for the fighting spirit she put in ensuring that the FUPRE bill was passed into law by the president, adding that since the passage of the bill, the morale of the staff of the university has risen. Ofualagba also appealed to the federal lawmaker to do all within her power and ensure that the FUPRE law was implemented, adding that they were waiting for the day that the law will be implemented.

As the students constituency want to
know, the whole world equally want to
know the person that will be taking the
leadership of the National Association of
Nigerian Students (NANS) from High Chief
(Dr.) Tijani Usman Shehu.
It is on the same vain that I present to
you a young man with vision, a
charismatic leader that want to take NANS
to the promise land, a dogged and fearless
Comrade, the only person I have seen in
the recent time that's ready to lead NANS
with his personal resource, it is not any
other person than Comrade Chinonso
Obasi, AKA Aluta IBB.
For the purpose of clarity, Aluta IBB as
he's fondly called is a post graduate
Student of Ebonyi State University, an
Ebonyi born Petro-Chemical Engineer
turned Comrade of an international
standard, a former Students Union
President and Zone 'B' (South-South and
South-East) Coordinator of the National
Association of Nigerian (NANS) and
member 2014 National Conference as one
of the representative of the NANS.
Aluta IBB doesn't belong to the class of
those that have spent over a decade in the
National Association of Nigerian Students
(NANS), and by age is the youngest
candidate compare to others, in fact, IBB
is less than 30years old.
In the recent past, NANS as an
organization has not produced a candidate
like Obasi based on the fact that nobody, I
mean nobody among the aspirants for
NANS Presidency has served the
organization from the grass root like Aluta
IBB. In one of my discussion with him at
the Royal Tropicana Hotels in Abuja during
the inauguration of the Nigerian Youth
Parliament, he opined that "I am a
candidate for NANS Presidency but not an
aspirant for NANS Presidency, they are all
aspirants but I am a candidate because I
am more qualified to be the next NANS
President, how on earth should we allowed
someone like... that has never been a class
representative to become NANS President".
Aluta IBB is the most acceptable NANS
Presidential candidate across the Niger,
the most amazing thing is the total
supports of his candidature by the NANS
members of the 2014 National
Conference, even if you hate him, IBB is
the man of the moment and a force to
reckon with in NANS as its stand,
it is on records that Obasi was the person
that made strong recommendation to the
Federal Government during the National
Conference that the issue of the B.Sc. and
HND dichotomy should be scrapped.
As I write, I have two documents in my
custody in form of bill well prepared by
IBB to be submitted to the National
Assembly if eventually he become the next
NANS President, the documents contained
two things, one is to empower all the old
comrades that have been victimised in one
way or the other in the course of the
emancipation of the Nigerian Students and
those students that are entrepreneurs
conscious in order to earn a living after
graduation from School, and secondly to
supports the less privilege in form of
sponsorship by the Government.
In his words " I want to use NANS as a
platform to push for a bill in the National
Assembly to sponsor those that are less
privilege in the Nigerian higher Institution,
so that after their graduation the
government will always find a way of
getting their money back by asking them
to work for some particular period of
time, no Nigerian child will have a reason
of not going to School".
"Distinguished, let me tell you that during
my time as the NANS President, the best
Student in any of the Nigerian higher
institution must be rewarded by the
government to serve as a motivation to
other ones to read more and harder".
IBB is pulling crowd
in Zone 'A' where the present NANS
President is from and Zone 'D' where the
Jagaban of NANS comes from, as such,
nobody would want to miss this moving
train.
As a matter of fact, the only sin of Aluta
IBB is his doggedness and fearless nature
of taking Nigerian Students to the next
level, some certain interest in Zone 'B' are
not comfortable with IBB based on the
outcome of the National Conference, they
were only interested in the financial
benefits of thev National Confab but none
of them has ever presented a working
documents on how to protect the interest
and welfare of an ordinary Nigerian
Students on campus, IBB did his best and
left the remaining one for God.
Therefore, we are all aware that nobody
on earth is perfect, as I write, I am still
looking for faults against IBB and I can't
find ANY, what an iron of life, for
somebody like IBB that's ready to sponsor
a bill in the name of protecting the
welfare of the Nigerian Students needs our
supports and prayers at this point in time.

With Comr IBB the organisation will regain his pride and standing among the committe of unions in Nigeria and the world. Vote transformation Vote Chinonso Obasi a.k.a IBB. South council area of Delta state, King Josiah
Umukoro, Aghaza 1, has been kidnapped, by
unidentified armed men from his palace.
King Umukoro’s incident came barely a week
after a similar earlier incident, involving the late

of the state, Obi Akaeze Edward Ofulue III.
Obi Ofulue, who was allegedly kidnapped by
suspected Fulani herders, was found dead about

unknown destination.
According to sources, the monarch was whisked
away in a RAV 4 Sports Unitility Vehicle (SUV),

Confirming the incident in a brief statement, the
Isoko South council chairman, Sir Itiako
Constantine Ikpokpo, expressed confidence that
the abducted monarch would be rescued.
“Yes, he was abducted this morning in Olomoro.
I was alerted at about 8:30am. The police and
army swung immediately into action with the
help of the vigilante. We are confident he will be
rescued”, Ikpokpo said.
