Take note, the structure of the school fees has changed, initial fee and returning fee is now the same. For instance, in my department, initial was 150 and returning 42,but now both initial and returning are 150, making it 300k total instead of 192k.

You can get to a cafe near you. If they can't do it, then come to uniben main gate, Dere r different cyber cafes that can help you pay for it

From the uniben's prospectus, not all faculties/departments (e.g faculty of engineering, department of electrical/electronics engineering will conduct entrance examination. From your experience, what criteria is used for admission in cases like this?

They don't follow the information on the prospectus. More than 90 percent of the departments will write exam. For the few who will not write, ur University of graduation, ur degree will be taken into account, among other things

Judging from previous years, the expiry date will probably be extended, I may be wrong anyway. After it has expired, the exam will be written within a month or so

MSc economics, school fees is 192700 total, acceptance fee is 45k. Those are the major expenses

They don't follow what is written there. Your referees don't need to forward any report. Just get them to sign it for you, then keep it till clearance

Yes there will be exam but cant remember if it will be central exam or department or both.
I graduated from a state University, so there is not much prejudice against state Universities. Just read hard, PASS the exam VERY well and you are good to go

That will be pretty difficult considering the nature of the programme, my advice is to read generally from 100 level to finals

I'm yetbto decide if to effect it before the application or after admission.
I feel that the discrepancy in name may cause confusion during screening for admission. At the same time I don't want to apply with my old surname and then start facing issues with regularizing my documents after admission.
What do you think please. And please adibo, do you know when the admission list will start coming out

i believe dere is sometin called change of name form or so. Admission list will be towards the end of the year

A word of advice from my experience of the 2015/2016 set, I was the admin of the WhatsApp group, it was very difficult and there was always argument in the group because some members saw the need to post other information having nothing to do with uniben such as jokes and some other stuff which made others angry because they wanted only information pertaining to uniben in the group.
So, if you are creating a whatsapp group, it is better you guys create two different groups, one should be strictly for ONLY information concerning uniben, while the other group can be for both information and jokes. That's what I had to do at the end to solve the problem in our group. That way, those who want only information on uniben will join the first group while those who are more social and love a bit of jokes and other stuff will join both the first and second group. This will help prevent arguments, membership of any the groups will be voluntary. Note, we all have different mentalities, mindset and preferences. God bless you

Nearly all departments will write either department or central exam or both. I can't confirm for now which ur department will write, dats why I did not reply. My advice is for you to start reading because the exam can be quite technical, so just be studying

The referee form is of no consequence because you only submit it after admission during clearance, so referee form does not affect your admission prospect. Just get three people to sign for you.
What we did last year was to create a whatsapp group for all postgraduate applicants. I feel it will be very helpful if you guys do the same for this set. The admin should be someone who is always online. You can equally add me up on the group

You submitted May 13th as what exactly? Anyway, if it is an error of consequence, all you need to do is to get to uniben, it can be corrected over there

Normally, ur former lecturers should be your referee but others said it can be anyone. Nobody needs to forward any report, just download it and get three people to sign for you, then keep it till clearance time

They don't necessarily follow that brochure. Some departments write only central exam, some people write only department exam, some write both

I believe when more people come around, you guys should create a whatsapp group for this current set for easier dissemination of information

I have confirmed from a friend that microbiology wrote department exam last year, dnt knw abt biochemistry for now. Take note, Dere r two different exams, central exam and department exam

I am in economics department, we don't write the central exam, only department exam. The questions in my time were 25 to be answered in 25 minutes. Questions came from macroeconomics, microeconomics, industrial economics, mathematical and econometrics.
