Roads are determining the factor of infrastructural development; it is perhaps, the only true evidence of a working Government, one that takes the safety and well-being of her citizens seriously; it is used both by the rich and poor. Good road network brings economic development to a people because it allows for easy movement of goods and services. This is one development which a former President with all the resources at his disposal couldn’t give his people for 5 years at the presidency.

Election in Nigeria can change the devil himself to an angel of light within the twinkle of an eye. Ours is a country where one can become a saint with just rhetoric and mundane gestures. Have we not seen politicians indulge in all sort of humble and deriding gestures to mop voters’ sympathy?

Politicians have eaten corn on the street, drank garri, served jollof to the poor and even fried akara for votes. It is during electioneering campaign you see the craziest stunt by politicians. So, I am not surprised with President Buhari’s latest stunt with Nigerians using the late M.K.O Abiola and June 12 as bait. It is not a surprise to see Buhari transformed into the most democratic President Nigeria has ever produced in spite of his tyrannical dispositions!
