Xolo unveiled a new addition to its smartphone lineup. The Xolo Q500 is an affordable, compact dual-SIM Android phone, which has a 4" screen and measures 118.5 x 63 x 10.7mm.

The screen has WVGA resolution for 233ppi pixel density. The Q500 is powered by a Snapdragon MSM8225Q S4 Play chipset with four Cortex-A5 cores running at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM and Adreno 203 GPU. The phone runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

On the connectivity side, the Xolo Q500 offers two SIM cards with 3G with HSPA (7.2Mbps downlink, 5.76Mbps uplink). There's also Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS and FM radio.

The Xolo Q500 has a 5MP camera on the back that can shoot 720p videos and a VGA camera on the back.

A cool software trick lets you snap a photo with Hindi text that will be automatically translated into English. You can have the phone read the translation out loud too. This feature is called X-TransPic and will be available on other Snapdragon-based Xolo phones.

The Q500 packs 4GB of storage that can be expanded with a microSD card (up to 32GB). The battery has 1,450mAh capacity.

The Xolo Q500 is priced INR 7,999 ($130) and is available right now in India.

Download wechat it supports free calls without network line it only uses data, if the two phones have the application and support voice calls, because using wechat is simple to support voice calls is another thing.

Thorby: My Opsson battery on heavy usage do last more than 6 hours...... I'm not a fan of any product, I will tell u the truth behind it... The first day I used it which was last week Wednesday, I was so annoy with how the battery drained so fast but now, I can see a huge difference... Like yester night when I was browsing, more than two browser from 7pm- 11.20 or more and I still have 46%... That's still manageable...

Please let me ask this question,
Does this phone charging while using, because vetualy most low end smart phone have the problem of not charging or taking longer time

swaggzo: have my p2 along side my opsson. as a user of both phones, I recommend opsson over p2 on everything, except body thickness.

When you are running out of ram when you are doing multi tasking on your phone that will make your phone hang or slow due to the low ram follow your phone come so you can expand the ram after rooting your phone for more efficient.

No is not even rooted self, but what surprised me is that the phone is working fine, only he can not download any thing from play store and few android system are not working complete

you shouldn't see any app like that on your phone....all you need to do now is to.boot into recovery and backup your ROM.... after the backup process you shall no longer harbor the fear of brick.... you can install anything you like...if you get bricked all you have to do is restore...and you're back on track



oh...that's an annoying thing 4shared does....goto Tubemate.net and get the correct version.... and as for ya friend's robot that's lying down I still don't understand what you mean by that....I'll advise he takes it to Carlcare

If you boot to recovery mode, the robot that is there with some system information, there's no any information appears and robot lying down

swaggzo: I've done that more than 10 times now, no improvement. this battery is bad, y'all trying to cover up is all I sense. without the battery percentage close to the battery icon, you'll feel you're rocking things. but when it's there... o'boy, you'll be shocked on how fast it drains.
To me the best battery treatment for this phone is... "Hide battery percentage" and you'll be less worried about your battery dying cuz even when you use about 10% at full charge, the battery icon still appears full. yeah..
Just forget about what the manual says... charge for 3 consecutive years even, nothing is gonna change. you'll still have to manage the same 3-5 hours usage after full charge. though it's a nice mobile phone, the battery fckd it.
so instead of focusing on the Same battery issues since page 2, let's think of developing and tweaking the phone in order to suit our various individual taste. that's the best thing now.

Thorby: If on light usage, it will last more than 24hours, but heavy usage, more than 7hours(uncertain, but more than that) for now. And its clear that the battery would be okay after 3 times of 12-14 hours. I have just charged mine 2 times within that range.

If it's like that then is perfectly ok, 7 hours on heavy usage i doubt although it's definitely a good phone
